JUSTUNDERTHELIMIT (K Hryhorec) was inclined to hang inwards shortly after the start over the marker pegs.
RACE 2 – 1800-GOT-JUNK? FILLIES & MARES PACE – 1609MS
Stewards approved a late driver change on DOUBLE HAPPINESS to Tony Pullicino replacing Gaita Pullicino.
The start was delayed for three minutes whilst a lugging pole was replaced on REGAL BREEZE (N Brown).
MAKAILA (D Girardi) galloped when the cord to the ear plugs became tangled in the near side hopple in the front straight final occasion.
DOUBLE HAPPINESS (T Puliicino) was reinstated in the draw for future mobile barrier events.
RACE 3 – ANGLE VALE SEED & FODDER PACE - 2070MS

RACE 4 – 2024 PODIATRY CARE GAWLER HAMBLETONIAN TROTTERS CUP– 2550SS
All tapes were hand held for this event. The 20 metre tape was released slightly later than all other tapes and Stewards were satisfied a fair start was affected.
UNCLE LOUIS (T Pullicino) galloped approaching the front straight on the first occasion when the gelding attempted to kick him and a warning was issued.
Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reason CYCLONE S ADAMS (D Girardi) appeared to be tightened for racing room near the 450 metres. The inquiry will be held at Globe Derby Park on Saturday 30th March 2024 and required to attend are Dean Girardi, Ken Rogers (ILLAWONG MOONBEAM) and Lisa Ryan (BARHOON).
RACE 5 – TONY PICCOLO MP MEMBER FOR LIGHT PACE – 2070MS
A protest was lodged by Dean Girardi (TREACHEROUS ROCK) placed 3rd against CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (W Hill) placed 2nd alleging interference in the home straight in the run to the finish. After hearing evidence from both drivers, viewing videos and acting upon their own observations Stewards dismissed the protest, taking into account the margin of two metres and in their opinion the sulkies had brushed despite the efforts of Wayne Hill to correct his drive and at the finish CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART was comfortably holding TREACHEROUS ROCK.
RACE 6 – 2024 D.F & E KEMP & SON GAWLER GOLD PACING CUP – 2550SS
JUSTANEXTRAGRAND (G Pullicino) and HONEYBUN (W Hill) commenced poorly and warnings were issued.
CULTURE KING (K Rogers) and LORD ZARIAS (R Hryhorec) both galloped at the start and warnings issued.
The reinspersons licence of Paul Cavallaro (ARTILLERY) was suspended for 7 days under R163(1)(a)(iii) after pleading guilty to a charge of contributing to interference to HONEYBUN (W Hill) near the 450 metres. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account his plea of guilt and previous excellent driving record.
RACE 7 – IAN SHEPHARD PACE - 1609MS
All clear was delayed allowing David Smith (CAPTAIN BLING) placed 2nd to view video of the home turn on the final occasion. After viewing videos David Smith was satisfied and the all clear was given.
In the run to the finish CAPTAIN BLING was inclined to lay in and brushed sulky wheels with the winner HEREFORAGOODTIME (B Page).
