General:

Due to Narissa McMullen being unable to attend today's Albion Park harness race meeting due to illness,  the following late driving replacements were made;

Race 3: Horse 7 - EVERYSECONDCOUNTS – Nathan Dawson

Race 4: Horse 10 – MY ULTIMATE EDDIE – Brendan Barnes

Race 5: Horse 6 – ARCHILLES – Matt Elkins

Race 7: Horse 5 – BOSCHNZ – Brendan Barnes

Due to the adverse track conditions from continual rainfall, Stewards directed mudguards and splash sheets be affixed to all sulkies prior to the first race and remain on for the duration of the race meeting.

Race 1 - THE FUTURE OF FORM - ONLINE AT SULKY.APP TROTTERS 0 TO 4 WIN HANDICAP     2138M  SS

Panda Fooey (Gary Whitaker) Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Agent Black (Shane Graham) Galloped out after the start was effected, losing valuable ground and a warning was issued. Broke gait free of interference passing the 1800metres and a warning was issued. Trailed the field thereafter.

Kyvalley Archer (Steven Doherty) Galloped out after the start was effected, losing significant ground, taking no competitive part in the event. After considering recent offences at its previous standing start races, Stewards directed that Kyvalley Archer be excluded from the draw in future standing start events.

Miss Memphis (Kelli Dawson) Weakened over the concluding stages of the event.

Burkhardt NZ (Nathan Dawson) Galloped out after the start was effected, losing substantial ground  and connections were advised Burkhardt NZ will continue to be drawn on the extreme outside in future standing stand events. Trailed the field thereafter.

Race 2 – BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE     1660M  MS

Great Achiever (Grant Dixon) Broke gait shortly after the start, losing valuable ground. Connections were advised Great Achiever will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

My Ultimate Sassy (Nathan Dawson) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Oak Ridge (Leonard Cain) Paced roughly prior to breaking gait free of interference leaving the 400metres. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised Oak Ridge would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Reds Ablaze (Adam Sanderson) Checked and broke gait after the start as a result of Great Achiever breaking gait.  

Race 3 - LUNCHBOX LODGE SPELLING FARM TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP     2138M  SS

Aurora (Gary Whitaker) Galloped out after the start was effected, losing valuable ground and a warning was issued.

Pizza Prince (Adam Sanderson) Broke gait shortly after the start was effected, tailing out, taking no competitive part in the event and a warning was issued.

Kohli Trouble NZ (Zac Chappenden) Yielded ground over the final 500metres of the event.

The Reaper (Leonard Cain) Held-up and inconvenienced behind the tiring Kohli Trouble NZ leaving the 500metres.

Troythetrotter (Gavin Crone) Driver fined unapproved whip use [AHRR156(2)(a)]

Itsarapt (Angus Garrard) Galloped out after the start was effected, losing substantial ground, taking no competitive part in the event and connections were advised Itsarapt will continue to be drawn on the extreme outside in future standing stand events.

Milly An Eyre NZ (Pete McMullen) Broke gait shortly after the start was effected, losing considerable ground, taking no competitive part in the event and connections were advised Milly An Eyre NZ will continue to be drawn on the extreme outside in future standing stand events. Broke gait free of interference turning into the back straight on the first occasion whilst tailed off and a warning was issued.  

Fenomenal (Darren McCall) Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from a rearward trailing position leaving the 750metres.

Builder Bob (Chloe Butler) Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from a rearward trailing position leaving the 750metres.

General:

Gavin Crone, driver of Troythetrotter was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight in the run to the finish.

Race 4 - PRYDE'S EASIFEED STAMINA TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP     2138M  SS

Kenny Keko NZ (Chloe Butler) Reared and galloped out after the start was effected, losing substantial ground, taking no competitive part in the event and a warning was issued. 

Dhoni Trouble NZ (Nathan Dawson) Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1450metres. After considering a recent offence in this regard, connections were advised Dhoni Trouble NZ would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Aladdin Sane NZ (Trent Moffat) Broke gait free of interference passing the 1200metres and again leaving the winning post with a lap remaining. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised Aladdin Sane NZ would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Majestic Sunday NZ (Shane Graham) Slow to muster speed after the start was effected.

Royal Glenferrie (Bryse McElhinney) Paced out initially prior to breaking gait shortly after the start was effected. After considering recent offences at its previous standing start races, Stewards directed that Royal Glenferrie be drawn on the extreme outside in future standing start events.

Top Of The Moment NZ (Pete McMullen) An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. Driver P McMullen reported to Stewards his disappointment with the gelding’s performance in the event and could offer no tangible explanation for the below par performance. Furthermore, connections undertook to monitor Top Of The Moment NZ over the ensuing days and would advise Stewards should anything become apparent regarding the gelding’s condition. 

Cochy Malc NZ (Leonard Cain) Broke gait near the 1700metres, losing considerable ground and a warning was issued. Trailed the field thereafter. 

My Ultimate Eddie (Brendan Barnes) Caught three-wide with no cover through the early stages of the event, progressing forward to attain the position leading the one-wide line near the 1450metres.

Dextrous Dexter (Taleah McMullen) Tired badly over the final 500metres of the event, to ultimately be beaten in excess of 93metres into eleventh placing. Connections were advised the overall performance of Dextrous Dexter was below the standard required and the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Zealous Spur NZ (Grant Dixon) Checked by the galloping runner Kenny Keko NZ passing the winning post after the start and broke gait as a result. Trailed the field thereafter.

Kar Manor NZ (Riley Butt) Caught four-wide initially before racing three-wide with cover in the early stages of the event until being restrained into a rearward trailing position near the 1600metres.

Race 5 – A ROCKNROLL DANCE AT SOMERSET FARMS PACE     1660M  MS

Rosarito (Nathan Dawson) Inconvenienced on the first turn after the start as a result of Merry Jewel breaking gait.

Crime Time (Taleah McMullen) Inconvenienced on the first turn after the start as a result of Merry Jewel breaking gait. Caught-wide with cover in the early stages of the event before restraining to obtain a rearward trailing position shortly after turning into the front straight on the first occasion.

Badlander (Angus Garrard) Held-up rounding the final turn before utilizing the sprint lane in the run to the finish, finishing strongly into second place.

Merry Jewel (Gemma Hewitt) Broke gait free of interference whilst crossing to the lead on the first turn after the start. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised Merry Jewel would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Overraced and pulled hard during the middle stages of the event whilst racing in a mid-field marker line position.

Charlie Chuckles (Brendan Barnes) Caught-wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to attain the position outside the leader near the 1100metres, where raced for the remainder.

Race 6 - SELECTIVE MOTORS ALBION MAIDEN PACE     1660M  MS

Hatties Jewel (Adam Richardson) Successfully withstood a challenge for the lead from Celestine NZ (Taleah McMullen) in the early stages to lead the event before surrendering the lead to Skyro Dreamz (Mathew Neilson) turning into the front straight on the first occasion.

Snip Of Beauty (Jonah Hutchinson) Checked on the first turn after the start as a result of Ebony Belle breaking gait.

Celestine NZ (Taleah McMullen) Gate speed however, was unsuccessful in challenging for the lead in the early stages and as a result was obliged to race outside the leader until restraining into a mid-field marker line position leaving the 1200metres.

Ebony Belle (Nathan Rothwell) Broke gait free of interference on the first turn after the start. After considering a good record in this regard, connections were advised Ebony Belle would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Trailed the field thereafter.  

Skyro Dreamz (Mathew Neilson) Raced three-wide in the early stages of the event, working forward to attain the lead position turning into the front straight on the first occasion.  

Cocolyn (Dannielle Veivers) Continue to be excluded from the draw in future mobile starting events having not participated in the pre-race circle. Inclined to hang-in on the turn out of the front straight on the final occasion when racing at the rear of the field.  

Mullum Hank (Angus Garrard) Weakened over the concluding stages of the event.

Joe Cavalier (Nathan Dawson) Checked on the first turn after the start as a result of Ebony Belle breaking gait.

Race 7 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND UP TO NR70 PACE     1660M  MS

Sweet Georgia Brown NZ (Pete McMullen) Shifted-out from behind the leader near the 1450metres to race initially outside the leader before progressing forward to attain the lead position passing the winning post with a lap remaining. Yielded ground over the final 300metres of the event, to ultimately be beaten in excess of 22metres into eighth place. Stewards directed a post-race veterinary examination of Sweet Georgia Brown NZ, which revealed no abnormalities at time of examination. Stewards questioned driver Pete McMullen with regards to the performance of the mare, Mr McMullen stating his disappointment in the mare’s performance in today’s event however, advising Stewards he felt the weather conditions may have been a contributing factor along with Sweet Georgia Brown NZ which had been balloted from other events and in his opinion would benefit from today’s run. After considering the explanation provided by Mr McMullen, Stewards noted his comments.

Race 8 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM MALONEY PACE     1660M  MS

Torque Tothe Music (Leonard Cain) Successfully withstood a challenge for the lead from Synchronizer (Shane Graham) in the early stages to lead the event.

Synchronizer (Shane Graham) Gate speed however, was unsuccessful in challenging for the lead in the early stages and as a result was obliged to race outside the leader prior to restraining in gaining a trail from Soap Opera (Angus Garrard) nearing the 1200metres. Driver reprimanded abruptly steadied pace.

Soap Opera (Angus Garrard) Caught-wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to initially attain the position outside the leader nearing the 1200metres before obtaining a one-out one-back trail shortly after from Lulu Mae (Mathew Neilson) near the 1050metres.

Lulu Mae (Mathew Neilson) Caught-wide with cover through the early stages of the event up until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1050metres, where raced for the remainder.

Rollyarrrz NZ (Taleah McMullen) Contacted the sulky of the preceding runner Shevchenko (Brendan Barnes) and fleetingly paced roughly when inconvenienced near the 1400metres when racing in a rearward trailing position as a result of Shane Graham (Synchronizer) steadying the pace. Commenced a trailing three-wide run late from the rear of the field leaving the 700metres.   

Fe Fe On Fire (Kelli Dawson) Commenced a three-wide run late with no cover from the rear of the field leaving the 900metres.

Robyn X NZ (Pete McMullen) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish, finishing strongly into third place.

Motu Cullen NZ (Jonah Hutchinson) Broke gait in the early stages of the score-up and was out of position when the start was effected. Connections were advised Motu Cullen NZ would be placed out of the barrier draw in future mobile starts until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

General:

Shane Graham, driver of Synchronizer was reprimanded under the provisions of AHR Rule162(1)(u) for abruptly reducing the pace in the one-wide line near the 1400metres after unsuccessfully challenging for the lead in the early stages which caused inconvenience to trailing runners.

Race 9 - LADBROKES HUB NR70-99 VETERANS PACE     1660M  MS

Stormtide (Nathan Rothwell) Successfully withstood a challenge for the lead from Commodore Jujon (Paige Bevan) in the early stages to lead the event.

Rocktagonal (Matt Elkins) Contacted and dislodged two(2) marker pegs when racing tight to the inside of runners leaving the 300metres. Held-up rounding the final turn before obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight in the run to the finish.  

Commodore Jujon (Paige Bevan) Gate speed however, was unsuccessful in challenging for the lead in the early stages and as a result was obliged to race outside the leader up until obtaining a one-out one-back trail from Mr Bohannon NZ (Dannielle Veivers) near the 1250metres.

Mr Bohannon NZ (Dannielle Veivers) Caught-wide in the early stages of the event prior to working forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1250metres before gaining a trail from Bombadier Jujon (Grant Dixon) approaching the winning post with a lap remaining. Yielded ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Bombadier Jujon (Grant Dixon) Progressed forward after the start from the geldings second row draw (Gate 10), however, after being caught-wide in the early stages of the event, worked forward three-wide to attain the position outside the leader approaching the winning post with a lap remaining, where raced for the remainder.

Race 10 - AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS PACE     2138M  MS

Mach Brilliance (Gary Whitaker) Led the one-wide line initially before obtaining a trail from Infinity Beach (Doug Hewitt) near the 1850metres. Tired badly over the final 600metres of the event, to ultimately be beaten in excess of 116metres into tenth and last placing. Stewards directed Mach Brilliance to under-go a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings other than the mare having a slow post-race recovery. Connections were advised the overall performance of Mach Brilliance was below the standard required and the mare will be required to complete 1(one) satisfactory requalifying trial prior to recommencing racing.

Infinity Beach (Doug Hewitt) Raced-wide in the early stages of the event, working forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 1850metres until attaining a one-out one-back trailing position from Rock Supreme (Bryse McElhinney) passing the 1600metres.

Captains Pick (Paige Bevan) Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

Rock Supreme (Bryse McElhinney) Left a one-wide rearward trailing position near the 1750metres, working forward three-wide to the position outside the leader passing the 1600metres. Overraced and pulled hard whilst racing in the position outside the leader during the middle stages of the event.

General:

The first attempted score-up was aborted after Gary Whitaker, driver of Mach Brilliance had signalled to the starter in the early stages of the score-up relating to a gear issue. It was ascertained a gear malfunction to the mare’s inside rein was the cause of the false start which resulted in a minor delay to the running of the event. The gear was inspected by Stewards post-race and found to be of good condition. Stewards after questioning driver Gary Whitaker in relation to the circumstances, were satisfied of the explanation given to Stewards and no action was taken.
