Race 1 - LADBROKES BET TICKER QUALIFYING PACE         1660M

The Beauden Blues NZ (Pete McMullen) inclined to over race throughout the event.

Jaccka Wally NZ (Nathan Dawson) caught three wide in the early stages before restraining to a midfield trailing position.

Spirit Of Arion NZ (Ricky Thurlow) inclined to pace roughly between the 400 in the 200 metres and connections were advised to take corrective measures.

Reds Star Deal (Grant Dixon) back in the mobile draw after two successful consecutive starts.

Leithen Burn NZ (Chloe Butler) pulled hard during the score up and slightly out of position at the start. Pulled hard throughout the race. Chloe Butler was reprimanded under AHR rule 162 (1) (j) for failing to maintain position behind the starting gate.

Race 2 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MARES OPEN PACE            1660M

Classic Mix Up (Brendan Barnes) pulled hard in the score up and contacted the barrier arm racing roughly as a result for a short distance. Trainer Graham Dwyer was reprimanded under AHR rule 273(6)(b) for presenting the mare to race in gear not notified.

Miss Mucho NZ (Narissa McMullen) caught wide in the early stages and restrained to the rear. Failed to gain clear running in the early stages of the home straight and was held up.

San Marea (Pete McMullen) caught wide in the early stages before working forward and position without cover.

Playa Blanca (Nathan Rothwell)contacted a marker peg at the 1300 metres when racing tight to the inside of Might As Well.

General

The driving licence of Dannielle Veivers Girl from Rosedale) was suspended for 14 days under AHR rule 156 (3) for using the whip in an unapproved manner in that she applied the whip continuously without pause in the run to the finish. Stewards directed this suspension commence Monday 1 April 2024.

Adam Sanderson (Dance Addition) was fined $200 under AHR rule 156 (3) for using the whip in an unapproved manner in that he applied the whip continuously without pause in the run to the finish.

Race 3 - AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS BAND 5 PACE       2138M

Glenledi Boy NZ (Trent Dawson) inconvenienced from the 300 metres when held up behind the tiring Majordoit.

Tiger By The Tail (Narissa McMullen) pulled hard during the score up and continued to race keenly throughout the event.

Race 4 - LOU CINI MEMORIAL BAND 4 - BAND 2 PACE          2138M

Braedos Lad (Chloe Butler) inclined to pull hard during the race.

Bombadier Jujon (Grant Dixon) hung in leaving the 300 metres and contacted a marker peg.

Race 5 – LARA THANKS QLD CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL QUALIFYING PACE (B DIV)   1660M

Rocknpenny (Adam Richardson) caught three wide in the early stages and was unable to gain a trailing position which resulted in the gelding being restrained to the rear of the field.

King Vance (Chloe Butler) over raced when leading.

Race 6 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT BAND 5 PACE  2138M

Surf Ace (Brendan Barnes) pulled hard when leading.

Alta Magacian NZ (Pete McMullen) inclined to over race for the after the start and when positioned without cover.

Flo Ryda NZ (Grant Dixon)checked at the 500 metres when held up behind the tiring Monsieur Delacour.

General

Ricky Thurlow, trainer of Monsieur Delacour was reprimanded under AHR rule 273 (6) (b) for presenting the gelding to race in gear not notified to the Stewards. Ricky Thurlow was further reprimanded under AHR rule 170 (a) (1) for dropping the foot when activating gear at the 800 metres.

Race 7 - PRYDE'S EASIFEED EASIOIL PACERS BAND HANDICAP            2138M

Tairlaw Toll NZ (Pete McMullen) galloped out at the start and lost considerable ground. Tairlaw Toll NZ will be excluded from the draw in future standing starts.

Miracle Moose NZ (Trista Dixon) galloped out at the start and lost ground. After considering a previous offence at its previous standing start race, Stewards directed that Miracle Moose NZ be excluded from the barrier draw in future standing starts.

L L Cool J NZ (Adam Sanderson) galloped out at the start and will be placed on its last chance in the draw in future standing starts. Inconvenienced after the start when avoiding the galloping Tairlaw Toll NZ.

Race 8 – CHANGEOVER @ BURWOOD STUD MARES QUALIFYING PACE   1660M

No racing incidents.

Race 9 – ULTIMATE TOOLS 2YO PACE           1660M

Mullum Aretha (Angus Garrard) broke in the early stages of the score up but was in position when the start was affected.

Rocknroll Rina (Nathan Dawson) inclined to race roughly after the start racing into the first turn.

Toro Loco (Pete McMullen) broke after the start was affected and will be excluded from the draw in future mobile starts.
