Race 1 - PRYDE'S EASIFEED EASIPERFORMANCE TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP     2647 SS

King City NZ utilised the sprint lane to finish third.

Royal Glenferrie raced in a five back pegline position prior o shifting out to lead the one wide line from the 1900 metres. 

Kar Manor NZ galloped out – continue right out of the draw in standing start races.

Race 2 – PELICAN WATERS RESORT TROTTERS 0 TO 4 WIN HANDICAP 2138 SS

Miss Memphis surrendered the lead approaching the 1000 metres. 

Agent Black led the one wide line prior to working forward to the lead approaching the 1000 metres.

Koda Da Moda raced in a one out one back trail until being left leading the one wide line approaching the 1000 metres.

Fenomenal commenced a three wide run from a rearward position near the 850 metres. Hung in slightly near the 300 metres and contacted the outside sulky wheel of the preceding runner and broke stride near the 300 metres – a warning was issued.

Top Of The Moment NZ broke free of interference entering the home straight – stood down until its completion of two consecutive satisfactory trials.

Race 3 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE           1660M

Oak Ridge broke free of interference near the 1300 metres resulting in the colt almost falling and stepping out of its inside hopple loop. Having considered its recent record the colt is stood down from racing until it completes a satisfactory requalifying trial.

Maywyns Mighty Mac broke free of interference shortly after the start was effected – placed out of the draw in mobile barrier races. It was noted that the offside hopple broke in this incident. The gelding broke stride again near the 1200 metres however no action taken due to the broken hopple.   

Our Sweet Jess led the one wide line prior to being restrained to trailing position behind the leader. Utilised the sprint lane finishing second.

Boston Harbour checked by a galloping runner on the first turn. 

Toro Loco checked by a galloping runner on the first turn.

Big Rig Saint broke in the score up resulting in the rig being out of position when the start was effected – placed out of the draw in mobile barrier races.

Great Achiever checked by a galloping runner on the first turn. Shifted out to lead the one wide line approaching the 1000 metres.

Race 4 - CONGRATS DERBY DEAN SHANNON PACE 2138M

No racing incidents

Race 5 – AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS PACE       1660M

Anyonewilldo was slow to respond to driver’s efforts to shift wider from three back on the pegline near the 350 metres.

Our Uncle Les hung out as the start was effected – a warning was issued. Led the one wide prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1350 metres. Had a tendency to hang out at various stages of the race – a warning was issued.

Missed Consequences was racing in tight quarters on the final turn resulting in its inside sulky wheel contacting a number of marker pegs. 

Blue Bloodz worked forward three wide to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1350 metres.

Archilles surrendered the lead near the 1000 metres. 

Sheer Artistry NZ broke shortly after the start was effected – placed out of the draw in mobile barrier races.

Torque Tothe Music commenced a three wide run from a rearward trailing position to work forward to take over the lead near the 1000 metres.

Race 6 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP       2138M

Aurora surrendered the lead near the 1800 metres.

The Reaper shifted out to lead the one wide line near the 1350 metres.

Everysecondcounts broke free of interference near the 1350 metres – a warning was issued.

Just Call Me Molly NZ galloped away – a warning was issued.

Troythetrotter worked forward to the lead near the 1800 metres.

Ajay Volstead galloped away – a warning was issued. 

Itsarapt galloped away taking no competitive part in the race. Having considered the gelding’s recent record Stewards ordered it stood down from racing in standing start races until it completes a satisfactory standing start trial. Itsarapt will continue to be placed right out of the draw in standing start races.

Builder Bob galloped away – will continue out of the draw in standing start races.

Race 7 - LEADING EDGE SECURITY PACE     1660M

Diego Delgado gave ground from the 450 metres after having trailed the leader throughout. 

Motu Cullen NZ was caught racing three wide for the first 350 metres whilst being restrained to the rear of the field. 

Race 8 – LADBROKES EASY FORM NR70-99 VETERANS PACE            2138M

Yep Got Chooks was held up behind a tiring runner approaching the final turn losing significant ground as a result.

Rocktagonal led the one wide line prior to gaining a one out one back trail near the 1100 metres. Utilised the sprint lane to win.

Commodore Jujon was held up behind a tiring runner approaching the final turn losing significant ground.

Mr Bohannon NZ led then commence to tire from the from the 500 metres ultimately being beaten in excess of 78 metres – placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Tairlaw Toll NZ  led the one wide line early then was briefly three wide circling another runner in the back straight on the first occasion then worked its way to the lead shortly thereafter.

Bombadier Jujon commenced a three wide run from midfield near the 1400 metres to work forward to the position leading the one wide line near the 1100 metres. Gained a one out one back trail shortly thereafter.

Firestorm Red worked forward three wide one back from the 1400 metres then took over the position leading the one wide line near the 1000 metres. 

Race 9 – STANCE EQUITEC PACE      1660M

My Rocky Romance NZ led the one wide prior to gaining a one out one back trail approaching the 1100 metres. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 25.9 metres. Connections told the Stewards that were not unhappy with the performance this being a lightly raced four year old who’s individual mile rate was 1:55.7, a significant drop from its NZ winning performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed that, in the opinion of the Veterinarian, the gelding would be improved by today’s race.

Jeseeka race wide whist working forward to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1100 metres.

Maretti hung out noticeably as the start was effected – a warning was issued.

Rylee Rhayne Bow worked forward to the lead near the 1350 metres then surrendered the lead near the 900 metres. When questioned as to why she surrendered the lead near the 900 metres driver Chantal Turpin explained that being only a three year old filly who had worked to the lead in sectionals of 3.5, 27.3, 28.9, she was reluctant to hold the lead when challenged strongly approaching the 900 metres, adding that the filly surrendered the lead at her most recent start in a lower class. She further explained that the leader was able to carry her to the sprint lane from where Rylee Rhane Bow finished solidly and had ample opportunity to win. Perusal of the race videos confirmed Ms Turpin’s evidence which was noted for future reference.  

Chappy Streetnorth raced three wide with a trail to the 1100 metres then worked forward to take the lead near the 900 metres. Gave ground late after leading into the home straight.
