We head to Hobart on Sunday evening for a handy nine event card with Brighton Cup being the highlight where we see our open class pacers do battle.
The plays for the night start early with Magnetic Terror in race one who is perfectly placed.
Cheetah Lodge can make it an early double for the Crook/Chibnall team by winning race three.
Royal Appointment looks an e/w play in race six.
Major Lester can repay his loyal followers by winning race eight.
Iden Lady Lincoln looks the best value in race four especially if finds the early lead.
RACE 1: 17:23pm Tasmanian Horse Transport Pace 2090m
The first of the night is for the 3yo and older. MAGNETIC TERROR (8) gets in very well as has been racing in open class company so he should be taking care of his rivals. LETS GO LUCYLOU (1) draws to get the run behind the leader so will get her chance last up the lane. WEONA EAGLE (2) should work to the lead so if can pinch a good first half can give a kick. SWAITEK LEIS (3) has a tricky draw as will more than likely be outside the speed but she is tough and can place.
TOP PICK: Magnetic Terror (8) is a class above so should win.

Here we have a race for pacers with no more than two lifetime wins. MUZZAME MATE (4) was travelling when paced roughly and lost all chance so will be looking to amend his manners and put in a foolproof display and that will take him along way to winning. MISS DUTTON (5) had her chance last time when got run down late so has to be considered again. JUST JAYDO (11) has done nothing wrong since crossing the Bass Strait so if he can get a cart into the race will take holding out. MARTYR (8) was dominant winning last time but this is harder and the tricky draw doesn’t help but will be interesting to see hos he measures up so is a must for the exotic players along with DANGER PLAY (12) who rounds out the winning chances.

KOSYGIN LEIS (4) resumes but was an improver last time in and if resumes in similar fashion will be thereabouts. This is Art Meeker Memorial for the Mares under stand start conditions and the handicaps have made it a very competitive affair. OUT OF EDEN (6) has been flying of late and continues to rise to the occasion and can do again with a safe getaway from the 20m. IDEN LADY LINCOLN (2) will be looking to ping early and if finds the top will run them along and give some cheek. STEPPING STONES (7) and MISS PAPENHUYZEN (8) are class runners who come off 30m and 40m respectively so will need some luck early but the distance suits so don’t dismiss. KILLARNEY DANCE (3), MODERN POWER (4) and SPOT RULER (5) are a trio that can run into a minor placing at odds.

GLENLEDI ELVIS (10) has had some tough runs of late and will do again but can win. MICKEY OH (11) comes off a freshen up and draws to get the right run so look for him to getting home hard. VANQUISH STRIDE (9) comes across from Victoria where he has been close up and does get a handy draw so looks the value. THE SHALLOWS (12) and COOL WATER PADDY (13) both draw out back so will look to get into the race and could fill a minor placing.

JORGE STREET (4) has been consistent and gets a front row draw so should be on speed throughout and will be in the finish. JO AN JO (7) hasn’t had much luck of late and the draw hurts but with a cart into the race will be dangerous. WILL HE PIKE (2) has the draw so if gets an easy first half of the race can give a sight. AMBIGUOUS (5), ONEHANDONEBOUNCE (6) and WE SALUTE YOU (10) are a trio that are capable if the breaks come his way.
