In taking no further action stewards were mindful that Goodtime Hayley had contributed to the incident by hanging in towards Mister Excessive.
I Can Tell You cast its off fore plate during the event.
RACE 3 – ROSS MCLOUGHLIN PAINTERS PACE (1785 MS)
Stephen Blacker, the driver of Good Word That (barrier 7) was cautioned for failing to come up into position by the starting point resulting in his gelding being out of position at the start.

Michael Bellman was approved as a late driving replacement on Kempseys Delight as a result of Daryl Crone being unable to fulfill his engagement.

Trainer Steven Fennell was cautioned for failing to notify stewards of the intended tactics for Keayang Bieber and Torque Like A Lady.

Bailey McDonough, the driver of Ideal Jo explained that when settling back in the field, he was hopeful in obtaining a trail into the race as per the recent tactics but was disadvantaged when unable to do so. Illawong Danny was held up for clear running for the entire length of the home straight and was not fully tested.
Swiss Lightning, which obtained the position outside the leader throughout, gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in 9th position beaten 28.8m. When questioned regarding the performance and the tactics adopted driver Daryl Douglas explained that at the gelding’s previous start at Hamilton (13/7/22) over the longer distance event, the gelding was driven forward and raced well when outside the leader and when dropping back in distance today, he considered the horse would benefit from that position. Mr Douglas stated that the gelding, in his opinion, was disappointing and failed to run up to its previous form and given the two weeks between runs he believes Swiss Lightning would take benefit from today’s event.
RACE 8 – GAV PAHL BUILDERS PACE (2180 MS)
Morgan Art hung out and paced roughly for a short distance when improving three wide with cover at the 600m.
Scene Of Terror ($7.50) pulled hard throughout the event and gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in 10th position beaten 36.4m.
