Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE PACE  1780M

Stompem NZ (Luke Whittaker) tightened and locked sulky wheels with the sulky of the runner to its outside which had hung in entering the home straight on the final occasion.

Little Change (Nathan Dawson) checked by a galloping runner entering the home straight on the final occasion.

Letterkenny Boy (Mathew Neilson) checked by a galloping runner entering the home straight on the final occasion.

American Flyer NZ (Chloe Butler) severely checked and broke as a result of the preceding runners locking wheels entering the home straight on the final occasion.

The Grogfather (Bryse McElhinney) hung in when leading the one wide line entering the home straight on the final occasion resulting in its sulky locking wheels with the sulky to its inside. A warning was issued against the gelding’s racing manners.

GENERAL

Stewards intend to speak with driver Luke Whittaker (Stompem NZ) regarding his whip action in the home straight. Mr Whittaker reportedly had left the course immediately after the race.

Race 2 - DRIVER OF THE NIGHT CHLOE BUTLER PACE  2040M

High On Montana (Lachie Manzelmann) led the one wide line until obtaining a one out one back trail near the 1350 metres.

Cheetah Lodge (Nathan Dawson) (2.30 fav) commenced a three wide run from towards the rear of the field near the 1600 metres to work forward to take over the position leading the one wide line near the 1350 metres. Commenced to give ground from the 500 metres. Stewards ordered a post race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities.

GENERAL

Nathan Dawson, driver of CHEETAH LODGE, explained to the Stewards that he was disappointed with the gelding’s performance. He explained that when put under pressure near the 500 metres the gelding lost ambition when easily held by the runner to its inside. Mr Dawson added that he considers that CHEETAH LODGE is more effective over the shorter course. His comments were noted for future reference.

Race 3 - GARRARDS HERE ON TRACK PACE   1780M

No racing incidents

Race 4 - WOLF SIGNS PACE   1780M

Weasel NZ (John Kerr) led then surrendered the lead after 600 metres.

The Mach Army (Chloe Butler) worked forward three wide to the position outside the leader after 400 metres then further worked forward to lead near the 1250 metres.

Race 5 - HYGAIN FEEDS PACE  2040M

Gulmarg (Jonah Hutchinson) surrendered the lead approaching the 1600 metres.

Torque In Control (Leonard Cain) was caught racing three wide for the first 400 metres eventually being restrained to the rear of the field.

Regal Nightshade NZ (Trent Moffat) raced wide early then worked forward to the lead approaching the 1600 metres.

Mister Woodport (Jordan Topping) was held up for clear running to the finish – untested.

Race 6 - REDCLIFFE YEARLING SALE NOMS CLOSE OCTOBER 31 PACE   1780M

Naughtyinheaven (Pete McMullen) hung in and contacted the marker pegs when giving ground from the 400 metres – a warning was issued.

Jamaican Resort (Trent Moffat) broke free of interference leaving the front straight on the first occasion. Having considered the mare’s recent good record in this regard Stewards placed her on her last chance to race truly.

Tulhurst Cuddles (David McKenzie) raced three back on the pegline prior to shifting out to lead the one wide line near the 1300 metres. Issued a strong challenge to the leader throughout the third quarter.

Shezamaterialgirl (Noel Parrish) had a tendency to hang in when giving ground over the final 600 metres.

Race 7 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT MAIDEN PACE  1780M

Whisky Bandit (Leonard Cain) severely checked by a galloping runner near the 1400 metres.

Minarua (Nathan Dawson) checked by a galloping runner near the 1400 metres.

Montana One (Noel Parrish) broke free of interference near the 500 metres. Having considered the gelding’s recent record in this regard Stewards ordered that it must complete two consecutive satisfactory requalifying trials before being eligible to race again.

Bears Best (Pete McMullen) broke free of interference near the 1400 metres. Having considered the gelding’s recent record in this regard, Stewards ordered that it must complete a satisfactory requalifying trial before being eligible to race again. It was noted that BEARS BEST cast a near hind shoe during the race.

Ghost Train (Matt Crone) severely checked by a galloping runner near the 1400 metres.

Payout (Darrel Graham) inconvenienced by a galloping runner near the 1400 metres

Race 8 - MEMBERS DRAW WINNER ALAN LITSCHNER PACE  2040M

Shakatie (Leonard Cain) led the one wide line until obtaining a one out one back trail approaching the 1600 metres.

Feeling The Power (Andrew Millard) worked forward three wide to lead the one wide line from the 1600 metres. Obtained a one out one back trail near the 1200 metres.

Abbey Diadema (Trent Moffat) caught racing three wide for the first 400 metres whilst being restrained to the rear of the field.

Clares Fool (Lachie Manzelmann) commenced a three wide run from towards the rear of the field near the 1400 metres then worked forward to lead the one wide line from the 1200 metres.

Race 9 - NORTHGATE COMFORT INN 4YO & OLDER 1 WIN PACE  1780M

No racing incidents

Race 10 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE  1780M

Stars Of America (Leonard Cain) broke free of interference approaching the 1500 metres – placed on its last chance to race truly.

Heavens Baby (Lachie Manzelmann) led then commenced to give ground over the final 200 metres.
