Race 1 - BURWOOD STUD BAND 5 PACE 2280M
Regulus (Nathan Dawson) broke gait free of interference at the 2000 metres but quickly settled back into a pace. After considering a good record in this regard connections were advised that Regulus will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
Obi One NZ (Leonard Cain) caught wide in the early stages and was restrained to the rear of the field. It was noted the gelding contacted the sulky wheels with its hind legs throughout the race. Connections were advised to take the necessary measures to ensure this does not re-occur.
General
Michelle Phillips (Alby Two Chains) was fined $100 under AHR rule 163(1)(c)(ii) for carelessly contacting marker pegs when leading the race

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND QUALIFYING PACE 1780M
Theresachance (Nathan Dawson) hung in and contacted marker pegs at various stages of the race and a warning was issued.
Lamandier (Mathew Craven)hung in on the final turn and contacted marker pegs.
La Safron (Shane Graham) hung in on the final turn and contacted marker pegs.
Scotch En Ice (Matt Elkins) held up for clear running in the concluding stages.
General
Mathew Craven (Lemandier) was fined $200 under AHR rule 156 (2) for engaging the elbow and shoulder when applying the whip on entrance to the home straight.
Race 3 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEOFF BARNES REDCLIFFE MARES FEATURE 1780M
Jeradas Delight (Brendan Barnes) hung in during the score up which resulted in the mare being slightly out of position at start. Caught three wide in the early stages before progressing forward to obtain the position outside the leader.
Race 4 - MBRC REDCLIFFE CUP CONSOLATION 2613M
Call Me Keith NZ (Luke McCarthy) reared when the strands were released and galloped out. A warning was issued.
Ohoka Chopper NZ (Ricky Thurlow) jumped sideways at the start and then galloped out. After considering a previous offence in this regard, Stewards directed that Ohoka Chopper NZ be excluded from the barrier draw in future standing starts.
Kanena Provlima (Nathan Dawson) galloped out and lost valuable ground and a warning was issued
Watts Up Sunshine (Rickie Alchin) galloped out a few strides at the start before settling into a pace.
General
Ricky Alchin (Watts Up Sunshine) was fined $400 under AHR rule 156 (2) for engaging the shoulder and elbow when applying the whip in the home straight.
Race 5 - 2022 TAB REDCLIFFE OAKS (G3) 2280M
Candykane (Matt Elkins) hung in at various stages of the race when racing behind the leader and contacted a number of marker pegs. Gave ground in the concluding stages.
Sugar For My Honey (Will Rixon) hung in when improving three wide in the home straight with a lap remaining.
Bejiggity (Mathew Neilson) galloped in the early stages of the score up.
Alwaysbme (Mark Dux) out of position when the start was affected and will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.
Race 6 - 2022 GARRARDS REDCLIFFE YEARLING SALES SERIES FINAL (G1) 1780M
San Marea (Will Rixon) locked sulky stays with Odins Black Crows momentarily at the 300 metres when attempting to shift away from the tiring Hollywoodbound.
Foxi Five (Shane Graham) checked and broke on the first turn when Mullum Axel galloped.
Mullum Axel (Darren Weeks) broke gait free of interference on the first turn after the start and locked sulky wheels with Hold Onto Ya Bling causing both horses to lose significant ground. Mullum Axel again galloped in the back straight on the first occasion. After considering a previous offence in this regard, Mullum Axel was barred from competing at licenced meetings until such time the gelding can trial satisfactorily.
Hold Onto Ya Bling (Adam Sanderson) severely checked on the first turn and lost considerable ground when Mullum Axel broke gait and shifted out and locked sulky wheels with Hold Onto Ya Bling
Odins Black Crows (Pete McMullen) inconvenienced at the 300 metres when momentarily locked sulky stays with San Marea
General
Trent Dawson (For Real Life) was fined $400 under AHR rule 156 (2) for engaging the shoulder and elbow when applying the whip in the home straight.
Race 7 - 2022 NORTHGATE COMFORT INN & SUITES REDCLIFFE DERBY (G3) 2280M
We Always Have Faith NZ (Trista Dixon) galloped at the start and lost considerable ground. The gelding will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts. Galloped in the back straight on the final occasion for no apparent reason and will be placed on its last chance to race truly.
Ripp (Doug Hewitt) when questioned by Stewards regarding the overall performance of Ripp, trainer driver Doug Hewitt advised it was his intention to work forward from the start work as the gelding is a gangly type that lacks a quick turn of foot. He said that Ripp hung in on all turns and lost momentum and failed to handle the Redcliffe circuit. It was noted that Ripp was obliged to race for wide in the early stages before working forward three wide and then gaining the position outside the leader.
Sugar Apple NZ (Cameron Hart) raced ungenerously in the front straight on the first occasion and hung in under pressure when availing the Sprint Lane in the run to the finish.
Race 8 - 2022 MORETON BAY REGIONAL COUNCIL REDCLIFFE GOLD CUP (G1) 2613M
Make Mine Memphis (Bernie Hewitt) galloped out at the start and lost some ground and a warning was issued.
Its Back In The Day NZ (Zac Phillips) galloped out and lost valuable ground. Following a similar offence in this regard, connections were advised Its Back In The Day NZ will be excluded from the barrier draw in future standing starts. Retired from the race after the completion of one lap. A veterinary examination revealed the gelding to had bled from both nostrils. Acting under AHR rule 101, Its Back In The Day NZ will be stood down from racing for a period of three months, at the conclusion of which a veterinary clearance will be required from connections. Its Back In The Day NZ will be required to requalify in a satisfactory trial at the conclusion of this embargo.
Colt Thirty One (Grant Dixon) failed to gain clear running in the concluding stages and was not fully tested.
Deus Ex NZ (Brendan Barnes) fractious behind the barrier strands and failed to settle. Jibbed and turned in the opposite direction when the start was affected and lost considerable ground and took no competitive part of the race. Connections were advised Deus Ex NZ will be excluded from the draw in future standing starts and will not be eligible to compete in standing starts until a satisfactory standing start trial has been performed.
General
The start of this race was delayed approximately three minutes due to the front line barrier strand breaking which required replacing.
Race 9 - AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS OPEN PACE 1780M
Crunch Time (Nathan Dawson) pulled hard after securing the lead from the outside of the front line and failed to settle. Driver Nathan Dawson advised the gelding was contacting the sulky wheels with its hind legs when pulling hard which resulted in Crunch Time over racing throughout the event. It was also noted the near side Murphy blind malfunctioned. After considering a good recent record, connections were advised to take the necessary corrective measures to ensure Crunch Time does not contact its own sulky with its hind legs in future.
