Esso Kay Ess (Taleah McMullen) slow to muster speed at the start.
Melton Quality (Matt Elkins) caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to a rearward trailing position. Gave ground in the concluding stages and tired to finish a distant last beaten 79 metres. A veterinary examination failed the gelding to have some hopple chafing. Stewards adopted the veterinary surgeon’s recommendation that the gelding not be permitted to race reviewed seven days and connections were advised Melton Quality will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.
Race 2 – DAN COSTELLO PHOTOGRAPHY PACE 1780M
Duke NZ (Taleah McMullen) inconvenienced after the start and raced roughly when Furiosa shifted down to a position in advance.
Furiosa (Matt Crone) contacted the off side foreleg of Duke NZ when crossing that horse approaching the first turn which resulted in the sulky of Furiosa sustaining a near side flat tyre at that point and the horse was retired from the race in the back straight on the first occasion.
Tulhurst Cuddles (David McKenzie) caught wide in the early stages before working forward to obtain the position outside the leader.
General
The driving licence of Matt Crone (Furiosa) was suspended for 14 days after he pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR rule 165 (1) (b) for failing to give sufficient clearance to Duke NZ when crossing down in advance of that gelding approaching the first turn. As a consequence of this incident, a contact to the off side foreleg of Duke NZ occurred and the sulky of Furiosa sustained a near side flat tyre which resulted in the gelding being retired from the race. Stewards directed that this term of suspension commence 25 November 2022.
Race 3 - GARRARD'S HERE ON TRACK PACE 1780M
Bertils Firefox (John Kerr) galloped in the early stages of the score up and caused interference to Whata Reactor which was drawn behind resulting in a false start. Connections were advised Bertils Firefox will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts.

Race 4 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE 1780M
Fortyfive Rock (Nathan Dawson) severely checked and galloped at the 200 metres when racing tight to the inside of Downtown Lucca.
Downtown Lucca (Lachie Manzelmann) caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.
Rafferty Delights (Trent Moffat) inclined to hang in when racing wide on the final turn and a warning was issued.
General
Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred on the final turn in which Fortyfive Rock was tightened for racing room and galloped. After considering the evidence tendered by Lachie Manzelmann, Trent Moffat and Nathan Dawson and acting on their own observations, it was established that Rafferty Delights hung in when racing wide which restricted the room of Downtown Lucca which was shifted in onto the tiring Fortyfive Rock which was tightened for racing room. A warning was placed against the racing behaviour of Rafferty Delights and driver Trent Moffat was reprimanded under AHR rule 168 (1) (a) and instructed to use more effort to ensure a hanging horse does not contribute to interference.
