Race 1 - POWER UP LAWN MOWERS PACE  1780M

LUCKY NUTTER (Leonard Cain) – Utilized the sprint lane in the run to the finish.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (Chloe Butler) – Over-raced in the early middle stages when racing outside the leader.

LET’S SAVE THE DAY NZ (Trent Moffat) – Following the presence of residue in the horses’ offside nostril, a pre-race veterinary examination cleared the horse to start. Following its preliminary LET’S SAVE THE DAY was again examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. At a subsequent inquiry N Parish was fined $200 under AHRR204 for carrying out duties of a stable hand when not the holder of a current licence, and trainer K Annetts was fined $200 under AHRR226 for permitting a person to carry out duties as a stable hand when not licenced.

Race 2 - REDCLIFFE LEAGUES CLUB PACE  1780M

The All Clear was delayed allowing Stewards to view the patrol footage of the home straight where CHANCELESS CENTURY contacted the final marker peg at the entrance to the sprint lane. After viewing the patrol footage Stewards found that although CHANCELESS CENTURY brushed a peg when racing keenly behind MY ULTIMATE VICTOR at that point, the horse gained no advantage and the All Clear was given on the judge’s placings.

MAFFIOSO GIRL (Matt Elkins) – Caught wide in the early stages before progressing forward to lead the event from the 1300m. Driver M Elkins was reprimanded under AHRR 170(2) for allowing his body to protrude out of the confines of the sulky between the 400m and the 200m.

TELL ME THIS NZ (Angus Garrard) – After satisfying QRIC requirements the horse will be placed back in the draw for mobile starts.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (Trent Moffat) – Held up for clear running between the 400m and the 200m. Contacted the final marker peg at entrance to home straight when racing keenly.

Race 3 - NORTH LAKES SIGNS PACE  2040M

TINGE OF FEAR (Matt Elkins) – Caught wide in the early stages before progressing forward to race outside the leader near the 1600m.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (Angus Garrard) – When weakening near the 250m laid in and brushed a marker peg. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

Race 4 - STU VALENTINE FOR BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE  2040M

MISTY CREEK (Lachie Manzelmann) – Over-raced in the early stages of the event when leading the one wide line.

BE MY ROCK (Jonah Hutchinson) – Broke in the latter stages of the score-up and was out of position when the start was effected. Trainer R Sallis was advised BE MY ROCK would now be placed out of the draw in future mobile starts. Inclined to race roughly at various stages of the event.

Race 5 - NORTHGATE COMFORT INN PACE  1780M

CHUMP CHOP and GOSLING IN FLIGHT were delayed arriving on course due to a float breakdown. Both horses underwent a veterinary examination on arrival on course and were cleared to start. A pre-race swab sample was taken from CHUMP CHOP.

As a result of a false start, this race was broadcast on Sky 2.

JUKEBOX JET (David Stewart) – Raced roughly in the latter stages of the score-up, inconveniencing PERFECT FEELING which was drawn behind JUKEBOX JET, resulting in a false start being declared. Trainer J Regazzoli was advised JUKEBOX JET would now be placed out of the draw in future mobile starts.

CHUMP CHOP (Angus Garrard) – Raced three wide in the early stages before progressing forward to race outside the leader from the 1400m.

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (Trent Moffat) - Raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

LESVOS LAD (Mathew Neilson) – Held up from the 300m until shifting wider on the track at the entrance to the home straight.

Race 6 - WOOLLAM CONSTRUCTIONS PACE  1780M

MANY DELIGHTS (Dexter McLean) – Left a forward one wide trailing position near the 1600m and progressed forward to race outside the leader from the 1400m.

DON’T YOUBE NAUGHTY - After satisfying QRIC requirements the horse was placed back in the draw for mobile starts.

Race 7 - ELDERS WOODFORD 1 WIN PACE  1780M

GOTTA DREAM (Trent Moffat) – Completed the event with the chin rest detached which may have placed the horse at some disadvantage during the running of the race.

SHESHERZ (Zac Chappenden) – Broke gait and lost significant ground soon after the start was effected and a short distance later, when continuing to gallop, the crupper became detached, and the horse was retired from the event. Trainer M Kendall was advised SHESHERZ would be placed out of the draw in future mobile starts.

REDUCED TO ASHES (Angus Garrard) – After showing gate speed and racing in the position outside of the leader, commenced to weaken from the 500m to be beaten in excess of 84 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer A Johnstone indicated to Stewards REDUCED TO ASHES would now be leaving the stable, however was nonetheless advised the horse must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.

Race 8 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE  1780M

MUSTANG DUDE (Zac Chappenden) – After leading the event weakened from the 400 metres to be beaten in excess of 42mA post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities other than a slow post-race recovery. Trainer L Weidemann was advised a warning would be placed on the horse’s competitiveness.

WEASEL NZ (John Kerr) – Inconvenienced near the 500m when FORTYFIVE ROCK broke gait.

WEDDING NIGHT (Ricky Gordon) – When racing in restricted room leaving the 700m shifted in and contacted a marker peg.

MY SECRET BEACH (Chloe Butler) – Caught wide in the early stages before obtaining the position outside the leader near the 1400m. Locked wheels with FORTFIVE ROCK when that horse hung in near the 500m.

JAYDES TERROR (Leonard Cain) – Raced three wide with cover from the 800m. Inconvenienced near the 500m when FORTYFIVE ROCK broke gait.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (Angus Garrard) – Caught wide in the early stages before obtaining a midfield trailing position near the 1300m. When progressing forward racing in a three wide position hung in near the 500 metres and locked wheels with MY SECRET BEACH and broke gait. The nearside connecting strap broke and subsequently FORTYFIVE ROCK was retired from the event. Given the horse’s previous good record in this regard, trainer N Copeland was advised FORTYFIVE ROCK would now be placed on its last chance to race truly.
