Race 1 - TAB 2022 TROT RODS HEAT 9          947M

Golden Sand (John Stariha) broke in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile starts.

Race 2 – TAB 2022 TROT RODS HEAT 10       947M

Smooth Cash (Chloe Butler) broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Connections were advised Smooth Cash will be excluded from the draw in future mobile starts. Hung in on the first turn after the start and contacted marker pegs.

Race 3 - NORTHGATE COMFORT INN PACE   2040M

Killara Missile (Grant Dixon) broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Connections were advised Killara Missile will be excluded from the draw in future mobile starts.

General

John Stariha (Jay Tee Tyron NZ) was suspended for 14 days under the provisions of AHR rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip without having a rein in each hand. In determining penalty, Stewards ruled that this was Mr Stariha’s sixth whip offence within a 12 month period. This term of suspension will commence midnight Wednesday 18 May 2022.

Race 4 - DRIVER OF THE NIGHT AMANDA PAYNE PACE       1780M

Hy Voltage (Pete McMullen) broke in the early stages of the score up but was in position at the start. Raced keenly throughout and contacted a marker peg at the 400 metres when inconvenienced behind the tiring Rocknroll Max NZ.

Race 5 – MEMBERS DRAW WINNER MERV HIERONYMUS PACE            1780M

Kotare Elite NZ (John Stariha) hung in and contacted a marker peg on entrance to the back straight on the final occasion.

Race 6 - HYGAIN FEEDS PACE           1780M

Raani (Taleah McMullen) back in the mobile draw after two consecutive successful mobile starts.

Race 7 – ELDERS WOODFORD PACE 1780M

Cash Queen (Grant Dixon) inclined to hang out at various stages of the race.

Race 8 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE    1780M

Weasel NZ (John Kerr) hung out and contacted the near side sulky wheel of Aurora Rose which was racing to the outside and galloped as a result losing considerable ground. After considering a good record in this regard, Connections of Weasel NZ were advised the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Aurora Rose (Nathan Dawson) raced roughly after the start and a warning was issued. Severely checked on entrance to the back straight on the final occasion when Weasel NZ galloped.

Vic Hunter (Peter Greig) raced roughly after the start and a warning was issued. Severely checked on entrance to the back straight on the final occasion when Weasel NZ galloped.

Race 9 - GARRARDS HERE ON TRACK MAIDEN PACE          1780M

Tonys Secret (Pete McMullen) contacted a marker peg on the final when racing tight to the inside of Three one Four.

Lookat Mee (Mathew Neilson) broke gait entering the first turn after the start. After considering a good record in this regard, Lookat Mee was placed on its last chance to race truly. It was noted in this incident that the mini bit broke after the filly galloped.

Three One Four (Brendan Barnes) hung in at various stages of the race.

Cee Sixty Three (John Ballin) inconvenienced on the first turn after the start when Lookat Mee galloped.

Race 10 -BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE         1780M

No racing incidents.
