General

Stewards inquired into an incident entering the home turn on the final occasion where Lifeinheaven and Beefy Benson broke gait. After taking evidence from drivers Leonard Cain (Lifeinheaven), Will Rixion (Beefy Benson), Taleah McMullen (Baileys With Legs) and Brendan Barnes (Zaras A Treasure) and viewing the patrol footage and stewards observations it was established that Zaras A Treasure who was racing in a four wide improving position entering the hometurn was inclined to hang in onto Baileys With Legs who was racing to the inside and tiring losing momentum which resulted in that Gelding shifting down onto Beefy Benson who was already racing in a position with restricted room became crowded and broke gait resulting in Lifeinheaven who was racing on the peg line becoming tightened for room and breaking gait. Stewards felt the actions of Zaras a treasure and the already tight racing in conjunction with Baileys With Legs yielding ground were all contributing factors to the incident and could not be comfortably satisfied any one driver was at fault and noted it as a racing incident.
