RACE 1 – OUR RIVER PACE – 1720 metres

HIGHLY RESPECTED– Post-race swab sample.

LA TOISON DOR– Pre-race blood sample. 

CANONLYBEONESIR– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 2 – CITY PARK PACE – 1720 metres

GREY CADILLAC– Improved three wide from the 1400 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres.

JAY BRACKEN– Shifted out in the home straight whilst under pressure on the final occasion.

STARZZZ REIGN– Failed to run on from the 600 metres when improving in a three wide position to be beaten 26.8 metres and finished in last position.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 

CAPTN ME– Pre-race blood sample.

OH DADDY– Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion.

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA– Improved three wide from the 1200 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1000 metres.

SIGHT TO SEE– Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – REGATTA PARK PACE – 1720 metres

TRUE CONFESSIONS– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

MASONS DELIGHT NZ– Pre-race blood sample.  Forced wider approaching the 600 metres when SPEED OF SOUND shifted up the track whilst not being sufficiently clear of MASONS DELIGHT NZ which also carried LUKE JOHN NZ out to a four wide position.

MAJOR STATEMENT– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

SPEED OF SOUND– Driver B Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b) for forcing a runner wider in that approaching the 600 metres he shifted SPEED OF SOUND wider and as a result has carried MASONS DELIGHT NZ wider just prior to the 600 metres and as a result LUKE JOHN NZ which was improving to the outside of that runner was carried up the track also.  In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of the close proximity to the candy pole and the speed of which runners were improving to his outside.

FEAR THE EAGLE– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

LUKE JOHN NZ– Carried four wide approaching the 600 metres when improving to the outside of MASONS DELIGHT NZ which was carried up the track by SPEED OF SOUND.

BEAU CISHLOM NZ– Raced roughly leaving the 600 metres.

 

RACE 4 – POLICE COTTAGE PACE – 1720 metres

IN SHOOBEES SHOES– Hung in approaching the first turn.

MACHS LEGACY– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1450 metres.

AMERICAN MADE NZ– Driver S Grayling was approved as a late driving replacement for driver G Fitzpatrick who was indisposed.  Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres.

BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. 

LOUIE THE PUNTER NZ– Trainer B Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare D Hewitt as the driver by the prescribed time.  Pre-race blood sample. 

POPS BOY– Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres. 

TOTAL DIVA NZ– Raced four and three wide during the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – PENRITH MAYORS CUP – 2125 metres

FLYING PEGASUS– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. 

SHADOW ECLIPSE– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres.  Failed to run on from the 650 metres to be beaten 62 metres and finished in last position.  Driver R Morris explained that he was required to do too much work during the early stages when looking to find the lead as a result of SWEET ANNIE NZ over racing when leading. Mr Morris explained he was disappointed in the gelding’s overall performance.  In view of the gelding’s disappointing performance SHADOWECLIPSE was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

SWEET ANNIE NZ– Pre-race blood sample.  Over raced whilst leading the event.  Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

MANLY MACH– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1300 metres. 

CHAP DADDY– Post-race swab sample.

TEAM OF STARZZZ– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 6 – 131 HENRY STREET LADYSHIP PACE – 2125 metres

TAYLORS FOUR– Pre-race blood sample. 

RACING PAULA– Passing the 1200 metres checked off the back of CHRISSYSCREEK when the pace in the running line was eased.

JUSTADIVA– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until restraining to the tail of the field passing the 1700 metres.

YARRAMAN MARKLE– Had its off side sulky wheel contacted passing the 1200 metres when THE EGG COUNTER was shifted down the track and made contact with the rear of the wheel.

SOLAR EXPRESS– Driver S Grayling was approved as a late driving replacement for driver G Fitzpatrick who was indisposed. Checked approaching the 1200 metres when THE EGG COUNTER raced roughly when shifting down the track forward of that runner when making contact with the wheel of YARRAMAN MARKLE.

THE EGG COUNTER– Driver B Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that approaching the 1200 metres he has shifted THE EGG COUNTER down the track and made contact with the rear of the wheel of YARRAMAN MARKLE and as a result raced roughly for a short distance.  In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful at the time in which Mr Fitzpatrick was shifting THE EGG COUNTER down the track at the same point YARRAMAN MARKLE had eased the pace slightly and contributed to the incident.

AUSTRALIANA– Checked off the back of RACING PAULA approaching the 1200 metres when the pace in the running line was eased.  Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – GIPPS STREET PACE – 1720 metres

PICCADILLY POP– Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up on the first occasion and caused a false start for which a warning was issued.  A delay was required prior to the second start when PICCADILLY POP was required to leave the track as a result of breaking a hopple during the gallop.  Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 1200 metres for which the mare was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near side hind and near side fore limb.  Acting on veterinary advice the mare was stood down until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted.

DELIGHTFUL ANNA– Pre-race blood sample.  Checked and galloped approaching the 1200 metres when avoiding the galloping PICCADILLY POP.

DESERTA– Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres.

LAYLALOU– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1400 metres before improving to the lead at the 1300 metres.

FANTASYREACTOR– Raced four and three wide during the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.

WHERES OUR MONEY– Checked when being taken wider on the track passing the 1200 metres to avoid the galloping PICCADILLY POP and DELIGHTFUL ANNA.  Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion.

SO JACK– Checked approaching the 1200 metres when moving wider on the track to avoid the galloping PICCADILLY POP and DELIGHTFUL ANNA

CLASSIC GRANGE– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until obtaining a position in the running line passing the 1300 metres.  Hampered passing the 1200 metres when being steadied wider on the track to avoid the galloping PICCADILLY POP and DELIGHTFUL ANNA.    Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 8 – EMU PLAINS INDUSTRIAL PARK MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

BETTA SHINE– Post-race swab sample.

MISTER QUIRK– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

JAMBEROO ARK– Hung in and became unbalanced and galloped passing the 650 metres for which the horse was stood down until it completes two requalifying trials and for a period of 14 days.

BARA RILEY– Pre-race blood sample. 

ROLL WITH SLOY– Raced three wide during the early and middle stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres.  Will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 3 – NEPEAN SOLAR SOLUTIONS MAYORS CUP HEAT 2 – 2125 metres

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA– Driver P Tanti was fined $400 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip to the gelding in the home straight in more than a wrist only flicking motion.
