As Driver R Morris was indisposed, Stewards approved the following late driver changes:

Race 1 MONEY HONEY NZ – K.Morris

Race 1 SHADOW ECLIPSE – J.Gallagher

Race 2 CHRISTMAS TOYBOY NZ – J.Callaghan

Race 3 YUKO NZ – K.Morris

Race 5 BETTOR TO BE TRICKY NZ – J.Gallagher

Driver R.Morris will be required to provide a Doctors Clearance before his next driving engagement.

Driver G.McElhinney will be required to provide a Doctors Clearance before his next driving engagement.

 

RACE 1 – DRAG BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY JUN 11 PACE – 2125 metres

FLIRTATIOUS HEART – Pre race blood test. Trainers representative Jim Douglass was fined $100 under rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the mare with the incorrect saddle cloth number. Hung out after the start.

AUSTRALIANA– Driver Jack Callaghan was questioned into the seemingly below market expectation of AUSTRALIANA. Mr Callaghan stated that after beginning well he was able to lead the event and when attempting to restrain the mare she began to contact her own sulky and over race and despite his efforts he was unable to restrain the mare to run more suitable sectionals. Mr Callaghan added that he was disappointed in the overall performance of the mare in tonight’s event but the above factors contributed to the mare not running on as well as expected over the concluding stages to be beaten 25 metres. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Callaghan. Post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

SOUTHBOUND TRAIN NZ– Pre race blood test. Post race swab.

LAVROS MIDAS TOUCH NZ– Had a tendency to hang in at various stages throughout the event.

MONEY HONEY NZ– Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding KerryAnn Morris appearing to score up in the incorrect barrier position resulting in a false start being declared. It was established that Mrs Morris had circled MONEY HONEY NZ some distance behind the second row horses and when moving toward the mobile had got to the inside of ROCKNPENNY which was drawn barrier 10 on the second line and was unable to get into her rightful position. Driver KerryAnn Morris was fined $200 under rule 162(1)(e) for coming to the barrier out of position. Driver KerryAnn Morris reported post race that MONEY HONEY NZ had sustained a flat tyre on the near side.

SHADOW ECLIPSE– Was caught wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1700 metres.

WHATTA CONK– Inconvenienced at the start as a result of FLIRTATIOUS HEART hanging out.

CHEETAH LODGE– Driver Stephen Farrugia was issued a reprimand under rule 170(1)(a) for allowing his left foot to drop below the sulky rest when activating approved gear.  

ROCKNPENNY– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1000 metres before finding a position outside the leader passing the 750 metres.

 

RACE 2 – LIVE SINGER @ CLUB PACEWAY JUN 18 PACE – 1720 metres

HAS THE COURAGE - Pre race blood test. Post race swab.

MUSTANG MILLY– Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight.

GET READY TO ROCK- Pre race blood test.

CHRISTMAS TOYBOY NZ– Hung in under pressure on the final turn and contacted marker pegs and was issued its last chance to race truly.

PAY ME OVERS NZ– Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

CLEMENTSORRELL– A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  

 

RACE 3 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 1720 metres

RACING PAULA – Pre race blood test. Shortly after entering the first turn became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the mare’s recent record RACING PAULA was issued with a warning.

LETS PART BABY–  Inconvenienced over the concluding stages when ED MENDES was moving wider on the track. Post race swab.

ED MENDES– Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of RACNG PAULA breaking gait. Hung out under pressure in the home straight and moved four to five carts wider inconveniencing LETS PARTY BABY close to the finish line. As a result the gelding was issued its last chance to race truly.  

YUKO NZ – Pre race blood test.

LAVAZZA NZ– Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of RACING PAULA breaking gait.

DON KEE– A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 

 

RACE 4 – FUEL FRENZY @ CLUB PACEWAY JUN 25 PACE – 1720 metres

TOP THE ACE- Pre race blood test. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

PRINCE SYNTAX– Over raced throughout the event.

MEGS MONARO– Over raced in the position outside the leader before commencing to tire passing the 500 metres to be beaten 51.3 metres. 

TEAM OF STARZZZ - A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Caught wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.

OUR AMAZING GRACE– Broke in the score up and took no competitive part in the event. In view of the mare’s recent record a warning was issued against OUR AMAZING GRACE.

OURSOUTHERNSTAR– Post race swab.

MOST HAPPY CULLEN– Pre race blood test.

 

RACE 5 – SWAPMEAT @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND JUN 26 PACE – 2125 metres

SURF ACE – Over raced throughout the event. Post race swab.

OUR ACTION MAN– Worked forward before finding the lead passing the 1550 metres. Over raced throughout the event.

BREVITY– Pre race blood test. Caught wide in the early stages before working forward to find the position outside the leader passing the 1550 metres.

GIGI BOB- Pre race blood test. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

SQUINTA– Declared a late scratching at 1:39pm as the gelding had been sold.

 

RACE 6 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

JAYS CASH – Declared a late scratching at 10:29am acting on veterinary advice.

PRESIDENTSLASTLADY – Checked and broke gait passing the 250 metres as a result of ROGERVALERIO LOMBO hanging in and BEE OKAY shifting wider on the track.

ROGERVALERIO LOMBO– Had a tendency to hang in rounding the final turn. Driver Peter Green Jnr was fined the sum of $200 under rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to gelding over the concluding stages of the event in more than a wrist only flicking motion.

BEE OKAY -Shifted out passing the 250 metres. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

LOUISIANA FREEDOM– Pre race blood test. Over raced throughout the event.

TONY SLOY- Pre race blood test.

 

RACE 7 – COVERPALOOZA @ CLUB PACEWAY JUL 1 PACE – 1720 metres

TRISTARS PET- Pre race blood test. Trainer Troy Williams was fined the sum of $50 under rule 210 for failing to advise Seaton Grima as the driver of the filly by the prescribed time.

TERROROAN– Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. In view of the geldings recent record TERROROAN was issued a warning. Checked passing the 700 metres as result of CROWN MOJO breaking gait.

ITZ ALL ABOUT ME– Inconvenienced passing the 700 metres as a result of CROWN MOJO breaking gait.

CROWN MOJO– Approaching the 750 metres was over racing and hung out, became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the geldings recent record a warning was issued on CROWN MOJO. Post race swab.

DESERTA – Checked passing the 750 metres as a result of CROWN MOJO breaking gait.

CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART- Pre race blood test. Stewards delayed the all clear as it was established that CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART had raced in the number 10 saddle cloth when in fact the gelding was number 9. Once the stewards were able to confirm that CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART had raced as the correct horse the all clear was given. Three wide in the early stages before working forward to find the position outside the leader at the 1400 metres. Trainers representative John McCarthy was fined the sum of $100 under rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddle cloth number. 

 

RACE 8 – CHRISTMAS IN JULY 14 BOOK NOW PACE – 1720 metres

IM THE MAJORSTAR– Hung in and raced roughly at various stages throughout the event and rounding the final turn hung in and contacted numerous marker pegs. As a result IM THE MAJORSTAR was issued its last chance to race truly.

POCKET MORE FOR LESS NZ– Pre race blood test.

WHERES OUT MONEY– Trainer Grant Fuller was fined the sum of $100 under rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddle cloth number on.

JACKS UP– Trainer Scott Wade was issued a $100 fine under rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddle cloth number.

COS SHE CAN- Pre race blood test. Post race swab. At the request of trainer Jinaya Niass COS SHE CAN will now be re included into the barrier draw.
