RACE 1 – SKY ACTIVE RACING PACE – 2125 metres

SHEZA ROSE NZ– Pre race blood test. Broke in the score up, was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event for which a warning was issued.

THE POOBAH– Post race swab.

SILLY SID– Pre race blood test.

LADY DELIGHT– Caught wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to find the position outside the leader passing the 1700 metres.

LANI KAI BEACH– A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

 

RACE 2 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

APHRODITE– Declared a late scratching acting on veterinary advice at 2:22pm.

CAPTAIN OF SPEED– Hung out under pressure for which a warning was issued.

KEZZAMAC– Passing the 500 metres locked wheels momentarily with STELLINA and was inconvenienced.

GET READY TO ROCK– Inconvenienced between the 400 metres and the 200 metres when held up for clear running behind ROSARITO ROCK.

SNEAK A PEEK NZ– Pre race blood test. Post race swab.

STELLINA– Passing the 500 metres shifted out and locked wheels with KEZZAMAC for a short distance.

CRACKERBRIE NZ– Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1100 metres before working forward to find a position outside the leader at the 900 metres.

ROSARITO ROCK– Pre race blood test.

 

RACE 3 – JAZZ SATURDAYS @ CLUB PACEWAY NOV 5 PACE – 1720 metres

MADAZALWAYS – Hung out under pressure for which a warning was issued. Post race swab.

DASHING CHEDDAR– Pre race blood test.

LYNNSANITY - Pre race blood test. Caught wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1300 metres.

REIGN MAKER– Caught wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1400 metres.

MANLY MACH– Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1400 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 1250 metres.

 

RACE 4 – MATES 4 HARNESS PACE – 2125 metres

LAVAZZA NZ– Pre race blood test.

LUKE JOHN NZ– Driver Jack Brown was questioned in relation to the overall performance and seemingly below market expectation of the gelding having started a $1.28 favourite and not running on in the home straight to be beaten 4.6 metres. Mr Brown stated that after getting a comfortable lead he was able to set a moderate tempo before having to sustain a short mid – race challenge from JILLIBY DINGO from the 1400 metres to a point passing the 1250 metres.  Mr Brown explained he was disappointed in the overall performance of LUKE JOHN NZ and felt the gelding maybe better suited to shorter distance races. Stewards noted the comments from Mr Brown.

TWENTYEIGHTBLACK– Caught wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1800 metres.

TOP THE ACE– Over raced throughout the event.

LUCKY BEACH BOY– Post race swab.

THE MALDIVES– A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

GREY CADILLAC– Pre race blood test.

JILLIBY DINGO– Driver Jack Callaghan was questioned in regards to his tactics adopted in tonight’s event and also the overall performance of JILLIBY DINGO. Mr Callaghan stated that in the early stages of the event the pace was slower than expected and felt if he went quickly he may be able to find the front, as JILLIBY DINGO improved three wide before issuing a challenge from the 1400 metres to a point passing the 1250 metres at which point the gelding raced roughly and Mr Callaghan was unable to persist with the challenge. From that point on JILLIBY DINGO raced outside the leader and Mr Callaghan felt the gelding was disappointing over the concluding stages of the event. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Callaghan.

 

RACE 5 – BEATWORX @ CLUB PACEWAY NOV 5 PACE – 1720 metres

OH DADDY– Post race swab.

KATCHER SHOOBEE– Pre race blood test. Passing the 550 metres had his off side sulky tyre contacted and flattened by VOLANDO DENARIO NZ which was racing behind that gelding.

BREVITY– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1200 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 1050 metres.

VINCENT VAN GONE NZ– Pre race blood test.

VOLANDO DENARIO NZ– Passing the 550 metres commenced to over race and improved and contacted the off side sulky wheel of KATCHAR SHOOBEE which was racing forward of VOLANDO DENARIO NZ.

ROCK OF DELIGHT– Declared a late scratching acting on veterinary advice at 12:44pm.

 

RACE 6 – GRINNER LODGE PETER SULLIVAN MEMORIAL – 2525 metres

IM A GYPSY QUEEN– Pre race blood test. Galloped out for which a warning was issued.

UNIVERSAL PEGASUS– Pre race blood test.

STRENGTH OF HEART NZ– Inconvenienced after the start as a result of IM A GYPSY QUEEN galloping out.

THE GOLD STANDARD NZ– Paced and broke shortly after the start. In view of the gelding’s recent record THE GOLD STANDARD NZ will be excluded from the draw in standing starts.

THE NIGHT KING– Checked and locked wheels with KYVALLEY BOOMERANG whilst moving to the outside of the galloping IM A GYPSY QUEEN.

SUGAR HIGH– Galloped out and will be continued out of the draw in standing starts.

KYVALLEY BOOMERANG– A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Checked and locked wheels with THE NIGHT KING shortly after the start as result of getting to the outside of the galloping IM A GYPSY QUEEN.

QUEEN OF STRATHFIELD NZ– Post race swab.

 

RACE 7 – DRAG BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY NOV 12 PACE – 1720 metres

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS– Pre race blood test.

TIPPING POINT– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1450 metres.

DONT GOIN THEWATER– Caught wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to find a position outside the leader at the 1400 metres. Tightened passing the 1200 metres as a result of LA VISTA moving down the track. Commenced to tire from the 700 metres before being beaten 71.2 metres. In view of the gelding’s performance DONT GOIN THEWATER will be stood down until it completes one re – qualifying trial. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

GRINFARON– Pre race blood test. Commenced to tire passing the 1200 metres before being retired from the event at the 800 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Acting under rule 101(C)(2)(a) GRINFARON was stood down for a period of 14 days, an ECG and one re-qualifying trial.

LA VISTA– Commenced to improve three wide from the 1350 metres before finding the lead passing the 1150 metres. Driver Blake Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that passing the 1200 metres he has allowed LA VISTA to shift in when not sufficiently clear of DONT GOIN THEWATER causing that runner to be tightened.

DOROTHYS DELIGHT– Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.  

 

RACE 8 – XTREME BULLS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND NOV 19 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

PRINCE LOUIE– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres. Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

ALABAMA MISS– Commenced to tire from the 600 metres before being beaten 115.1 metres. When questioned in relation to the performance trainer / driver Blake Fitzpatrick explained that the filly contacted the sulky wheel and over raced and felt this had contributed to the overall performance of the filly tonight. In view of the fillies performance ALABAMA MISS will be stood down until it completes one re – qualifying trial. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

MODERN MILEY– Trainer Mark Fletcher was questioned in regards to the above market expectation and performance of the filly tonight ($81). Mr Fletcher explained that the filly had not started since the 5th of August where the filly had suffered a virus and since that time it had a short spell. MODERN MILLY had trialled well leading into the race and Mr Fletcher was confident of a forward showing in tonight’s event. Post race swab.

FOR US ALL– Pre race blood test. Checked between the 550 metres and 400 metres when held up behind the tiring ALABAMA MISS.

RACE 9 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1720 metres

ARTFUL BABE- Pre race blood test. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.

PANACIAS SEAL– Caught wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader at the 1400 metres.

SCOTLYNN JIGGS NZ– A pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse being 12 years old. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Hung in in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

CROWN MOJO– Post race swab.

GENTLE GIANT- Pre race blood test. Caught wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to find a position outside the leader passing the 1000 metres.
