RACE 5 – NATIONALTROTGUIDE.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres

The all clear of this event was delayed to allow Stewards the opportunity to review the available replays of the start, in relation to multiple runners being out of position during the score up and at the start.  Upon review of the available footage and taking evidence from multiple drivers, Stewards were satisfied that the speed of the mobile during the score up contributed to JAMBEROO ARK, RAKASHARP NZ, SPOT ONCHIC, NELLY BIGTIME, EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI and ALBERIO being out of position significantly at the candy pole and failing to fill their respective positions completely prior to the start being affected. In the circumstances Stewards formed the view that a false start should have been called in order to effect a fair start and as they were satisfied this occurrence had adversely affected the chances of multiple runners, and materially affected the outcome of the race, Stewards ordered the race be declared a no race and all bets to be refunded.

NELLY BIGTIME– Pre-race blood sample.
