SATURDAY 14th MAY 2022 – TABCORP PARK MENANGLE – Race 6 – THE GOLDEN EASTER EGG (GROUP 3) – 1609 metres.

CAPTN ME– Stewards finalised their inquiries in relation to J Trainor and his tactics adopted in particular his decision to maintain the lead when receiving pressure from COME SAY HI. After giving consideration to the totality of the evidence of Mr Trainor, Stewards advised Mr Trainor that they had believed that he had erred in his judgement when failing to take cover during the early stages after recording a fast 25.8 first quarter and then allowing his filly to progress down the back straight and keep COME SAY HI at his wheel, however Stewards were not of the opinion that in all of the circumstances his decisions were culpable to the degree that warranted any action be taken against his license. Mr Trainor was advised that Stewards would expect greater judgment be displayed in future.
