RACE 1 – ALLIED EXPRESS PACE – 1609 metres

NEARNO NZ– Post-race swab sample. 

ARTILLERY– Pre-race blood sample.

FEAR CRUISIN NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

BRAEDOS LAD– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

PUMP THE BRAKES– Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event and over raced until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 800 metres.

RACE 2 – BEST IN BEDS PACE – 2300 metres

SHADY AZZ– Stewards questioned driver Luke McCarthy with regards to the performance of the gelding which finished in sixth placing beaten 17 metres.  Mr McCarthy advised Stewards that the gelding was again disappointing and the stable would look to make some gear changes before racing again on the larger Menangle track. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr McCarthy, Stewards determined to note comments.

BLUE CHIP DELIGHT NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

HE BETTOR STEP ASIDE NZ– Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

LITTLE DEMON– Over raced throughout the middle stages of the event.

IDEAL ESCAPE– Over raced during the middle stages of the event until a point passing the 1000 metres where it commenced to improve three wide and broke stride causing the gelding to continue to race wide for the remainder of the event.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

AALESUND– Over raced during the middle stages of the event.  Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

KINGMAKER NZ– Broke stride during the score up and as a result was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

LOYALIST NZ– Pre-race blood sample.  Driver Seaton Grima pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the early and middle stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion.  After considering the recent record of Mr Grima his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of seven days and he was fined $400.  Post-race swab sample.  

RACE 3 – MURRAY KENNEDY REAL ESTATE PACE – 1609 metres

MORESCO– Pre-race blood sample.

WATTLEBANK LASS NZ– Pre-race blood sample.

ITS ALL ABOUT FAITH NZ– Post-race swab sample. 

CONSTANTINA– Broke stride during the latter stages of the score and as a result was out of position at the start.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

RACE 4 – THE MEAT MAN WHOLESALE MEATS WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres

JOETOMO– Pre-race blood sample.

MUSTANG MILLY– Driver Blake Hughes was reprimanded under Rule 170(1)(a) for dropping his left foot from the sulky rest passing the 350 metres when activating approved gear.

PUNT AWAY NZ– Post-race swab sample. 

INFINITY BEACH– Pre-race blood sample.  Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

TINKA TERROR– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

HIDDEN DELIGHT NZ– Driver Jack Trainor was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier prior to the starting point.

RACE 5 – CELEBRATING 120 YEARS OF RACING FFA – 1609 metres

JAY OK– Pre-race blood sample.  Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

KID MONTANA– Pre-race blood sample.

WHEREYABINBOPPIN– Post-race swab sample. 

RACE 6 – CLUB MENANGLE SUE KELLY LADYSHIP STAKES (GROUP 3) – 1609 metres

LITTLE BLISS– Pre-race blood sample.

THE HONEY QUEEN NZ– Hung in and commenced to lose ground passing the 500 metres.  Stewards questioned driver Luke McCarthy with regards to the performance of the mare which finished in 7th placing beaten 17 metres. Mr Mcarthy advised Stewards that the mare was once again disappointing and would now go for a freshen up at which time her racing future would be reconsidered.  A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  After considering the explanation provided by Mr McCarthy stewards determined to take no further action other than to note his comments.

FAIRY TINKABELL NZ– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.

TOTAL DIVA NZ– Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

RACE 7 – MACARTHUR BULLS CUP – 2300 metres

UNCLE JAY– Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

DARK TERROR– Broke stride during the early stages of the score up.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

WOW HES A ROCK STAR NZ– Post-race swab sample. 

SOHO SINATRA– Pre-race blood sample.

ALWAYS ROCKIN– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1900 metres.

ROYAL GAMBLE NZ– Pre-race blood sample. 

IZAHA– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.

RACE 8 – HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY BETHANY TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

MELPARK MAGIC– Pre-race blood sample.

RIGHT MOVES– Pre-race blood sample.  Galloped out.  After considering the recent record of the mare it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw.  Broke stride free of interference passing the 400 metres.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

ALDEBARAN TESS NZ– Broke stride free of interference passing the 250 metres.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

CALIGULA NZ– Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.  Post-race swab sample.
