RACE 1 – FARMER JOES CHICKEN TROTTERS STANDING START – 1609 metres

THE GOLD STANDARD NZ Post race swab samples were obtained.

OH NOVA LOVE NZ– Pre race blood samples were obtained. Leaving the 1000 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.

HORSE OF COURSE NZ– Leaving the 1400 metres shifted in away from SCENIC SKY and subsequently became unbalanced and broke gait.

YOUNG SON– Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected. Approaching the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. YOUNG SON will continue to be excluded from the standing start barrier draw for the immediate future.

FINNS RUNS RED– Shortly after the start became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.

AGENT MAORI– Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

DONT TOUCH THIS- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

SCENIC SKY– Passing the 1400 metres had to be steadied and shifted in away from YOUNG SON which broke gait and subsequently SCENIC SKY hampered HORSE OF COURSE NZ.

 

RACE 2 – ACCESS ENGINEERING SYSTEMS PACE – 1609 metres

FLAMEOFFIRE – Leaving the 500 metres was inclined to hang out and race roughly for a short distance.

ZOOM PARTY- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

KENNY SAID– Had a tendency to shift out when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.

ROGERVALERIO LOMBO- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

HIGHVIEW SADLER NZ- Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

KILLARA SHOGUN – Was inclined to lay in slightly over the final 200 metres. Post race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 3 – CHRISTMAS IN JULY @ TRACKSIDE PACE – 1609 metres

LANI KAI BEACH – Leaving the 1200 metres was hampered when OUTSIDE FIGHTER slowed the tempo.

ISLAS JOY NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Near the 1200 metres was checked when the tempo in the event was slowed.

CHRONICLES – Passing the 1200 metres had to be checkedwhen the tempo slowed and subsequently raced roughly.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER– Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres then appeared to slow significantly and then shifted out before then responding to the urgings of driver J Callaghan. When questioned driver J Callaghan explained that after finding the lead OUTSIDE FIGHTER switched off and did not respond to his driving therefore he elected to shift OUTSIDE FIGHTER out as he was concerned there was an issue with the gelding. However once ISLAS JOY NZ improved underneath OUTSIDE FIGHTER the gelding picked the bit up and raced tractably responding to his urgings. He added that OUTSIDE FIGHTER does wear blinkers which may have contributed to the incident. Trainer J Mauro explained that OUTSIDE FIGHTER is not used to leading and given what has occurred in today’s event he would instruct his drivers to drive outside with cover or behind other runners in the near future. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on OUTSIDE FIGHTER. Post race swab samples were obtained.

LAVROS MIDAS TOUCH NZ – Passing the 1400 metres was inconvenienced by OUTSIDE FIGHTER when that runner shifted out.

KISSED BY A ROSE- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

TIZA NEW DAY – Passing the 100 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued. TIZA NEW DAY will now be re - included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – AGNES BANKS EQUINE VET PACE – 1609 metres

KATLAS DREAM – Had difficulty securing clear running until passing the 100 metres. Driver D Morris was issued with a reprimand under AHRR 160(2) for completing the preliminary in the incorrect direction without the permission of the Stewards.

MY PETAL- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

DON KEE- Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

PARALLEL - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

JEDI MIND– Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected. Was caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.

 

RACE 5 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

KABIBI- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

YEAH CHARLIE- Post race swab samples were obtained.

ISLAND BLISS– Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.

RADIANT AMBER– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

RED TRIX- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 6 – AQUAGAIT EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1609 metres

ED MENDES – Pre race blood samples were obtained.

IM BILLS LAST NZ– Caught wide during the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader. Weakened over the concluding stages.

GENTLE GIANT NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

CHANGE OF MIND- Underwent a pre and post race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

MAHOMES– Post race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 7 – ALLIED EXPRESS SPECIALISED LOGISTICS PACE – 1609 metres

SCORCHA - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

OUR MONEY ROCKS– Approaching the 100 metres was unable to secure clear running and was inclined to hang out and shifted out slightly. As a result EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY was placed in restricted room and subsequently OUR MONEY ROCKS and EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY engaged sulky wheels approaching the finish.

ARDENS ACE NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY– Was held up for clear running inside the final 100 metres and leaving the 100 metres was hampered when OUR MONEY ROCKS hung out at the same time ALLSET NZ improved past EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY quickly. Subsequently EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY locked wheels with OUR MONEY ROCKS.

CEE FOR COLIN– Unable to secure clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

ALLSET –Shifted in when improving quickly past EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY. Driver J Brown was issued with a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(www). J Brown was also issued with a reprimand under rule 43A(1) for leaving the racecourse prior the prescribed time (30 minutes)  without the permission of Stewards.
