As Driver G. McElhinney was indisposed the following driving changes were approved:

Driver G. McElhinney was advised that a medical certificate would be required prior to racing again.

RACE 1 – CHARLIE ROBINSON TROTTERS MOBILE - 1609metres

KYVALLEY BOOMERANG – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has competed in more than 200 starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

RACE 2 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609metres

MISS HORNIGOLD - Trainer M. Doltoff was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver.

BETTORS BEYOND – Stewards questioned Driver R. Morris in regards to the performance of the filly which weakened over the final 200 metres. Driver R. Morris stated that in his opinion the filly which was resuming from a spell is best suited racing with cover and therefore would look to drive the filly accordingly in future starts. Stewards noted the comments.

KENNY SAID – Post-race swab sample.

FLAMEOFFIRE – Pre-race blood sample.  Trainer D. Thorn was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver.

ROLL WITH SLOY – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – DOWNBYTHESEASIDE – A SIRE FOR OUR TIMES LADYSHIP PACE – 1609metres

YEAH CHARLIE – Post-race swab sample.

IM PRESSI BELLE – Pre-race blood sample.

RADIANT AMBER – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

SPEED OF SOUND – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 4 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609metres

LADY DELIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.

DANCINGINTHEDARK – Pre-race blood sample. Stewards questioned Driver J. Gallagher in regards to the performance of the mare which weakened over the final 400 metres to be beaten 20 meters. J. Gallagher stated that after obtaining the position forward with cover trailing IM BILLS LAST he was satisfied however when IM BILLS LAST worked forward to the lead his mare wasn’t suited to racing outside the lead for the remainder of the event. J. Gallagher further added that the mare has only performed well when driven with cover and therefore he wasn’t entirely disappointed with the performance. Stewards noted the comments.

HAWKE EYE – Trainer M. Reed was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver. Out of position at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

RACE 5 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION PACE – 1609metres

DASHING CHEDDAR – Pre-race blood sample. Trainer M. Reed was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver.

WATCHMEDAZZLE – Post-race swab sample.

BIG BLACK DIAMOND – Pre-race blood sample.

General:

Trainer D. Binskin pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 90A(2.9)(a) for allowing unlicensed person N. Costello perform the duties of a stablehand when not licensed to do so. D. Binskin was fined $200.

Unlicensed person N. Costello pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 91(1)(a) for performing the duties of a stablehand when not licensed to do so. N. Costello was fined $200.

RACE 6 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609metres

OH DADDY – Post-race swab sample.

OUR AMAZING GRACE – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The mare will now be placed out the draw in future mobile starts.

KING COREY – Pre-race blood sample.

TIZA NEW DAY – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 7 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 1609metres

PARALLEL – Inconvenienced after the start when ALTA CLASSIC broke.

ALTA CLASSIC – Pre-race blood sample. Broke after the start. A warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ROCKNPENNY – Over-raced during the middles stages of the event.

BLUE SUEDA ROCKA – Driver P. Tanti pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip in the home straight on the final occasion with more than a wrist only flicking motion. P. Tanti was fined $200.

MAHOMES – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SHAME TO FAME – Broke score in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

RACE 8 – ALLIED EXPRESS APP PACE – 1609metres

LOUI – Approaching the first turn tightened and contacted marker pegs when racing to the inside of DOUBTLESS BAY. In this incident the gelding also had a tendency to hang in slightly.

DELIGHTFUL JAZZ – Driver S. Arvidsson was advised that she must modify her whip action to ensure that it complies with the whip rules.

UNFAZED NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

CHERISHTHEMEMORIES – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

DOUBTLESS BAY – Driver J. Trainor was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the first turn he shifted his runner down the track when not clear of LOUI and as a result that runner contacted marker pegs. Stewards questioned Trainer J. Grimson in regards to the improved performance of the gelding. J. Grimson stated that in his opinion the gelding dropped significantly in grade compared to its recent start and also the gelding was suited to running even times and not being crossed at any stage. Stewards noted the comments. Post-race swab sample.

ALLSET NZ – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

SCORCHA – Pre-race blood sample. Will now be re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

Trainer A. Ruggari was fined $200 under Rule 190B(1)(b) for failing present his log book at a stable inspection when required to do so.
