RACE 1 – ALLIED EXPRESS SPECIALISED LOGISTICS PACE – 1609 metres

DOUBLE ENCOUNTER – Pre race blood samples were obtained. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

SWAGGIE SHANNON– Passing the 250 metres SWAGGIE SHANNON had to be steadied when PUMP THE BRAKES shifted out.

GOLDEN YEAR– Passing the 1100 metres cast its off fore plate.

ROCK FISHERMAN– Passing the 150 metres was taken out by PUMP THE BRAKES and locked wheels with that runner and when disengaging PUMP THE BRAKES shifted out and caused ROCK FISHERMAN to be checked and lose its rightful running.

PUMP THE BRAKES– Commenced to shift out approaching the 250 metres and near the 150 metres placed pressure on ROCK FISHERMAN and locked wheels with that runner then when disengaging with ROCK FISHERMAN, PUMP THE BRAKES shifted out and checked that runner. Driver S Grayling pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference. In assessing penalty consideration was given to S Grayling’s guilty plea and forthright evidence and overall driving record. S Grayling had his licence to drive suspended for a period of 7 days.

JUSTA LITTLE BIT– Post race swab samples were obtained.

TUPPENCE- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

GLENARVIL KING - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

CASSIUS DECK– Commenced to shift out near the 250 metres and engaged sulky stays with WOW HES A ROCK STAR NZ who resisted the movement. CASSIUS DECK then straightened for a short distance near the 150 metres. Approaching the 100 metres CASSIUS DECK was directed out and in doing so shifted out into WOW HES A ROCK STAR NZ resulting in that runner having to be checked and racing roughly. Driver M Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference. In assessing penalty consideration was given to M Turnbull’s guilty plea, the degree of interference and M Turnbull’s overall driving record and the fact that WOW HES A ROCK STAR NZ did have a tendency to lay in at various stages in the home straight. M Turnbull had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days.

FAZE OF GLORY NZ- Post race swab samples were obtained.

CHECK IN NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

WOW HES A ROCK STAR NZ– Near the 250 metres commenced to lay in and engage sulky stays with CASSIUS DECK which was shifting out. Then near the 100 metres WOW HES AROCK STAR NZ was checked by CASSIUS DECK when that runner shifted out. Subsequently WOW HES A ROCK STAR NZ, raced roughly.

 

RACE 3 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY MITCH SNIPPY TAYLOR PACE – 1609 metres

GROSESTAR – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

SO MUCH BETTOR- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

WESTERN STYLE– Broke gait in the early stages of the score up and in view of its recent record connections were advised that WESTERN STYLE will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

TOM THE CURIOUS- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Post race swab samples were obtained.

MYRA DAWN– Improved three wide during the middle stages to obtain the position outside of the leader.

FEAR CRUISIN NZ– Was unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

FOREVER YIN– Broke gait in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. In view of its recent record connections were advised that FOREVER YIN would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw for the immediate future. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 4 – CLUB MENANGLE WARATAH FINAL – 1609 metres

GOTTA KICK - Post race swab samples were obtained.

PIPPO NIEN– Driver N Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 156(2)(a) in that he applied his whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion over the final 300 metres to PIPPO NIEN. N Turnbull was fined the sum of $400.

BREXITT - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

SIR RICHARD LEE- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

JESSEJAMES SHANNON– Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

ULAANBAATAR – Had difficulty securing clear running until passing the 150 metres.

 

RACE 5 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

HIDDEN DELIGHT NZ - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

AUNTY BELLA– Was inclined to hang out and shifted ground when under pressure over the concluding stages.

ORCHID STRIDE- Post race swab samples were obtained.

WATTLEBANK LASS NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

WHATS YOUR SECRET NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 6 – CLUB MENANGLE ALF PHILLIS FFA (GROUP 3) – 2300 metres

DOUBTLESS BAY NZ - Pre race blood samples were obtained.

ALTA ORLANDO NZ– After displaying gate speed and leading the event, maintained the lead throughout despite being challenged by HES CHIMING shortly after the start and again near the 1500 metres. Driver J Callaghan was questioned regarding the tactics employed on ALTA ORLANDO NZ and his decision to maintain the lead throughout, despite being challenged by HES CHIMING on two separate occasions. After considering the evidence tendered by J Callaghan and upon reviewing the films the inquiry was adjourned to a date and time to be fixed.

HES CHIMING– Displayed gate speed and raced outside of the leader throughout the event. Driver S Arvidsson was questioned regarding the tactics employed on HES CHIMING in particular the decision to challenge ALTA ORLANDO NZ for the lead on two separate occasions. In addition the reasons as to why HES CHIMING raced in close proximity to ALTA ORLANDO NZ for the majority of the event. After considering the evidence and reviewing the films, the inquiry was adjourned to a date and time to be fixed.

PITCH PERFECT NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 7 – SUMMERTIME PREMIUM POULTRY TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

FANCY – Passing the 400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.

ALDEBARAN URSULA- Leaving the 400 metres had to be steadied away from FANCY which broke gait, subsequently raced roughly for a short distance.

GUS AN MAORI- Post race swab samples were obtained.

DROP THE HAMMER– Pre race blood samples were obtained.

MAJESTIC SIMON NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained. Broke gait at the start losing valuable ground. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 8 – SUCCESS STUD PACE – 2300 metres

TERRYRAMA- Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

UNCLE JAY – overraced during the early and middle stages.

EVERYBODYLOVEDRAY– Pre race blood samples were obtained.

RICKOSHAY- Post race swab samples were obtained.

LOUIS LITT NZ- Pre race blood samples were obtained.
