RACE 1 – THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

COLETTE– Stewards queried driver P Hedges in relation to the performance.  P Hedges reported to Stewards that it may not have handled the quick back up and also had a tendency to over race somewhat during the middle stages of the race.  Stewards reported his comments.

SIANGDI– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

THREE CHORD RIFF– Post-race sample was taken.

JUST FEELNGOOD– Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event.

WILLROBY– Pre-race sample was taken.  Raced roughly for a considerable distance shortly after the start was affected and entering into the first turn.  Connections were advised that it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 2 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 2030 metres

VALOUR DICTUM– Pre-race sample was taken. 

MAJOR NOAH WILLIAM– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  Stewards queried driver A Ruggari in relation to the performance.  Mr Ruggari could not offer any explanation for the performance however advised it would be freshened up prior to its next run.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

WALLAROY BOY– Post-race sample was taken.

MAGIC SHOOS– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

ROCKNROLL TONY– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

RACE 3 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2030 metres

MYSTICAL JAZZ– Pre-race sample was taken. 

THE BLUE WREN– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Driver G Panella explained to Stewards that it had a tendency to over race whilst racing outside of the leader in the early and middle stages.  Connections were advised that it would be stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.

HEAR THE CALL NZ– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

RONZEL GRINNER– Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn and again as the field passed the 900 metres.  Connections were advised that it would be stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

CHRISTIAN BROTHER NZ– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

CASUAL RIVER– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

STARTUP– Post-race sample was taken.

RACE 4 – HAPPY 50TH DANNIELLE ROBSON PACE – 2030 metres

IAM THE JOKER– Pre-race sample was taken.

GALIANT KNIGHT– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

CLOUDIN UP– Post-race sample was taken.

RESOLUTE BAY– Had a gear malfunction as the field was called up for the start resulting in a false start being declared.  Weakened over the concluding stages.

OUR BUSHWACKER– Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

RACE 5 – SKY SPROTS RADIO PACE – 1609 metres

NASHOLI – Post-race sample was taken.

ROYAL LEFTY– Pre-race sample was taken.  Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

RACE 6 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

IM BILLS LAST NZ– Post-race sample was taken.

I AM SPEED– Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  Driver P Hedges could not offer any suitable explanation for the performance.  Connections also advised Stewards that they would be sending I AM SPPED for a spell and would consider the racing future.  Connections were advised that it would be stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.

GOTTA KICK– Pre-race sample was taken.  Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

RACE 7 – PITCHER PARTNERS PACE – 1609 metres

LURKING– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

MISS SERENDIPITY– Post-race sample was taken.

SHOOBEES RIGALETO– Pre-race sample was taken. 

RACE 8 – NEWCASTLE TRANSPORT SPECIALISTS PACE – 1609 metres

LAVAZZA NZ– Post-race sample was taken.

OUR REACTOR– Pre-race sample was taken.

YESNOMAYBESO– Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages which allowed LAVAZZ NZ a passage up the inside to which it was successful.

STEALTH BOMBA NZ– Had a tendency to over race in the early stages of the event whilst caught wide on the track to which driver J Gallagher was obliged to work forward in the event to the position outside of the leader.

DHAULAGIRI NZ– Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
