RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

GERALDTON WAX– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

MANNHO– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

SAINT CRUSADER– Held up for the entirety of the home straight and unable to be tested.

 

RACE 2 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

OUR REACTOR– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

APACHE WHITESOX– Broke stride and galloped free of any external factors shortly after the start.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

EVERYTHING HAPPENS– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

 

RACE 3 – SLICK CHICKS LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

GEMMAS EXPRESS– Broke stride free of any external factors inside the 400 metres and galloped.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s record.

EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN– Hampered momentarily and had to be shifted in when racing behind GEMMAS EXPRESS near the 300 metres.

I AM SPEED– Weakened from the 500 metres and tailed the field.  Connections were advised that prior to racing again I AM SPEED must perform satisfactorily in an official qualifying trial.

ROCKIN IN CHELSEA– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

SUNDAY SESH– Pre-race blood sample was obtained.  Hampered momentarily near the 400 metres when racing behind GEMMAS EXPRESS.

 

RACE 4 – BARASTOC PACE – 2030 metres

STEALTH BOMBA NZ– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

BOYZHAVTIME NZ- Post-race urine sample was obtained.

BLACK EDITION NZ– Held up over the concluding stages and could not be driven with vigour.

QUE SERA– Pulled hard in the early and middle stages then was unable to obtain completely clear running inside the 100 metres and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 5 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

JASPER STYLES– S Grima the driver of MARTY MAJOR, pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 163)(1)(a)(iii), stating that approaching the home straight on the first occasion he allowed MARTY MAJOR to shift in when insufficiently clear of JASPER STYLES, resulting in JASPER STYLES having to be checked, breaking stride and galloping for a short distance.  S Grima’s licence to drive in races was suspended for 14 days to commence at midnight on Tuesday, 14 June 2922 and expire on 29 June 2022, on which day he may resume.

ROCKNROLL SWINGER– Broke stride in the score up, galloped and was out of position.  Trainer/driver Mr M Formosa was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

WHATS YOUR SECRET NZ– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

DON BOSTON– Was declared fit to compete subsequent to a pre-race veterinary examination.

GLENGARRY ROSE NZ– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

CAPTAIN DAN NZ– Hung in during the score up, could not be driven onto the gate and was out of position.  Trainer/driver Mr A Ruggari was advised that CAPTAIN DAN NZ would continue to be placed outside the mobile draw.

 

RACE 6 – SHARP OFFICE PACE – 1609 metres

GOTTA KICK– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

FOUR STAR LINCOLN– Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and galloped.  Trainer/driver Mr P Hedges was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

THE CID– Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight and near the 100 metres shifted in and momentarily crowded DOWN STREAM

DOWN STREAM– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

HOIHO NZ– Held up rounding the home turn and for a considerable distance in the early part of the straight, then when being shifted in to obtain clear running near the 100 metres, broke stride and galloped for a short distance.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

RUM DELIGHT NZ– Unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the home straight and went to the finish without being tested.

 

RACE 7 – PITCHER PARTNERS NEWCASTLE PACE – 1609 metres

OUR BUSHWACKER– Was declared fit to compete subsequent to a pre-race veterinary examination.

RINTIN– Unable to obtain clear running in the early part of the home straight and after being continually steadied was shifted out inside the 100 metres to go forward.

THE BLUE WREN– Pre-race blood sample was obtained.  When questioned in relation to the performance, driver G Panella explained that after establishing the lead THE BLUE WREN over raced and resented the pressure applied to it in the lead by LINCS POOR BOY.  She said that the gelding continued to race fiercely in the middle stages and when placed under pressure inside the 400 metres could not respond and weakened in the home straight which she attributed to the gelding’s racing manners.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. 

GALIANT KNIGHT– When questioned in relation to her drive, S Rushbrook explained that GALIANT KNIGHT became fractious in the score up and raced fiercely.  She said that because of this in the early stages she attempted to go forward and obtain a position outside the lead, however after entering the home straight on the first occasion MY CLASSY MATE improved on her inside, which obliged her to race three wide.  She said that after this she was unable to restrain GALIANT KNIGHT to a rearward position and obtain cover and maintained a three wide line.  Connections were advised that the provision of last chance to race truly would be placed on the gelding’s record.

MONDOS EAGLE– Post-race urine sample was obtained.  

 

RACE 8 – OAS TECHNOLOGY PACE – 1609 metres

CASUAL RIVER– Was declared fit to compete subsequent to a pre-race veterinary examination.  Raced in restricted room for a considerable distance in the early part of the home straight. 

CLASSIC ARC– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

SPIRIT INSIDE– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

CHRISTIAN BROTHER NZ– Was declared fit to compete in a pre-race veterinary examination.  Hung in when placed under pressure rounding the home turn and in the home straight. 

ICSPOTS– Broke stride and galloped free of any external factors shortly after the start.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s record.

SUMBEACH ART– Broke stride free of any external factors and galloped shortly after the start.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD– Became unbalanced near the 300 metres, blundered, broke stride and galloped.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

NIVEKALON EAGLE– Pre-race blood sample was obtained. 

FEELING LUCKY– Broke stride and galloped during the score up and was out of position.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

DANCING RIVER– Broke stride free of any external factors rounding the home turn and galloped.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record. 

NEW TRICKS NZ– When questioned in relation to his driving in the home straight, J Callaghan explained that after travelling comfortably in the lead he urged NEW TRICKS NZ forward approaching the home turn.  He said that after entering the straight and placing the mare under full pressure, it hung in and was difficult to drive.  He said that despite his efforts it continually hung in and weakened inside the 100 metres.  He said that he elected to stop applying the whip at this time after being headed by AVAIDEN and MAJOR DOODLE because NEW TRICKS NZ continually hung in when tiring and was unable to improve over the concluding stages.  J Callaghan was told that whilst it was conceded that NEW TRICKS NZ was racing ungenerously at that time, he must endeavour in all circumstances, to apply full pressure to his drives wherever possible.

AVAIDEN– Connections were advised that due to satisfactory required performance, the gelding would now be eligible to be placed in the mobile barrier draw.  Post-race urine sample was obtained.

 

RACE 10 – NEWCASTLEHARNESS.COM.AU PACE – 169 metres

HEAR THE CALL NZ– Was declared fit to compete subsequent to a pre-race veterinary inspection.   Pre-race blood sample was obtained.  Held up for a considerable distance in the early part of the home straight and near the 100 metres had to be shifted out abruptly to obtain clear running, however continually raced in restricted room.  Driver G Panella was reprimanded under AR 52(5), for failing to return to the all-clear station following the race. 

MAGIC SHOOS– Raced in restricted room in the early part of the home straight, then had to be steadied and shifted out near the 100 metres to go forward.

MISS TROCADERO– Post-race urine sample was obtained.

TIZ A MAGICTIME– Refused to pace in the score up and was out of position.  Connections were advised that the mare would continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

BADLUCKBAZ– Pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
