Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
RACE 1 – GHOSTLY GREETING PACE (2190MS)
FOLLOW MY STRIDE (C. Voak) – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after contacting the outer running rail during the preliminary and passed fit to compete. Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. Placed outside the draw in future Mobile Barrier events. Failed to take any competitive part in the event thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer L. Voak advised she may make gear alterations prior to further racing.
TORRTEVEAN AMY (D. Roberts) – Hung inwards and broke gait racing out of the back straight on the first occasion. As the filly had recently offended in a similar manner she will be stood down from racing for 13 days and until such time as the completion of 2 re-qualifying trials. Trainer S. Torre advised he will experiment with gear alterations in order to rectify the racing manner of the filly in upcoming starts.
STARS OF GOLD (J. Rigoli) – Severely checked after the start was effected by a galloping runner. Checked and broke gait racing in the back straight on the final occasion when racing behind runners which had locked wheels.
General: Drivers D. Harper (TOO BEE WATCHIING) and K. Symington (CYBER STORM) were interviewed as to the reasons for the runner’s locking wheels in the back straight on the final occasion. Upon conclusion it was established CYBER STORM had hung inwards contributing to the incident and as such a warning was placed on the gelding.
RACE 2 – TRICK OR TREAT 4YO+ PACE (2190MS)
TENACIOUS GEORGE (H. Hancock) – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 38m.

ADDA PARIS (T. Bryant) – Driver T. Bryant was cautioned for shifting inside a marker post racing into the front straight on the first occasion.
KING MEMPHIS (C. McCallum) – Gave ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the tactics employed, in particular if there was an opportunity to restrain and achieve cover at an earlier stage when racing in the front straight on the first occasion, driver C. McCallum stated he was instructed to lead the event if possible and after beginning well began to race strongly in the early stages, and as a consequence took him longer to surrender the lead than desired. Stewards noted the comments.
RACE 4 – HAPPY HAUNTING PACE (2190MS)
General: the declaration of All Clear was delayed in order to interview driver P. Miller (LILLY LAGUNA), the R.W.W.A. starter, and review the patrol vision as to whether LILLY LAGUNA was afforded a fair start behind a galloping runner. After considering the evidence, Stewards confirmed LILLY LAGUNA was denied a fair start and as such declared a non-runner with this information being disseminated.
