Trainers with multiple runners in any one race were questioned in relation to their intended tactics.
All engaged drivers at tonight’s meeting were subjected to rapid antigen tests being supervised by the Stewards prior to fulfilling their drives.
Sulky mudguards and splash sheets were in use at tonight’s event.
RACE 1 – TABTOUCH BETTER YOUR BET PACE (1823MS)
BOSTON ROB (B. Smith) – Reinsperson B. Smith was cautioned for commencing to move CAPTAIN DANDI (J. Suvaljko) wider just prior to the ease out pole entering the front straight in the bell lap.
COME GET ME GO (G. Scott) – Broke gait free of interference leaving the front straight on the final occasion. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 13 days and until such time as the completion of 2 satisfactory re-qualifying trials.
RACE 2 – THE TROTS WA PACE (2242MS)
STARS OF GOLD (D. Roberts) – The off-side sulky tyre deflated racing in the back straight on the final occasion.
MISTER RIDGEWELL (S. Butterworth) – The murphy blind dropped and as a result the gelding hung inwards entering the front straight on the final occasion and momentarily locked wheels with TROIS FONTAINE (D. Egerton-Green).
RACE 3 – NARROGIN EARTHMOVING AND CONCRETE PACE (2242MS)
TINSELTOWN NZ (M. Blakemore) – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which was beaten 232m revealed a slight discharge from the nostrils. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial due to the unsatisfactory performance.
RACE 4 – NARROGIN OBSERVER RWWA WESTBRED FEATURE PACE (2242MS)
JUSTA REACTION was a late withdrawal from the event at 10am due to a colic attack.
HAVE AGO JOE (H. Charles) – Reinsperson H. Charles was fined $50 under R 162(1)(i) for failing to be in position at the candy pole.
RACE 5 – CHRISTMAS IN JULY NEXT MEETING PACE (2242MS)
General: Reinsperson C. Peterson (WESTERN ARTERRA) was reprimanded under R163(1)(a)(i) for when crossing IM THE BEST NZ (C. Voak) after the start, allowing minimum room only.
RACE 6 – TABTOUCH YOU’VE GOT THE TOUCH PACE (2636SS)
SNORKEL (C. Voak) – Broke gait on two occasions during the early stages of the race and was retired from the event. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial.
RACE 7 – ENJOY A GREAT NIGHT OUT AT THE TROTS PACE (1823MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 8 – GREAT SOUTHERN HERALD PACE (2242MS)
EL MANZANA (T. Wheeler) – Broke gait when challenged for the lead shortly after the start. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.
