Mr Morris stated that after obtaining the lead, he was able to ease the tempo during the middle stages but ultimately the early work had told over the final stages. Mr Morris added that the gelding still proved disappointing when previously successful (22 March 2022) when driven in a similar manner. Stewards noted his comments.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
