RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1750 metres

General– Prior to the all-clear being given Driver G Judd (DEE TERROR) who had been placed second past the post, advised Stewards he would like to view the patrol footage, to ascertain whether he had grounds to lodge a protest against the winner SWEDISH MEATBALLS. After viewing the film G Judd lodged an objection alleging interference leaving the 600 metres, stating that his runner suffered interference as a result of SWEDISH MEATBALLS shifting out at that point when he was to its outside. Evidence was taken from the Driver of SWEDISH MEATBALLS, B Jones, and further evidence from G Judd, and the patrol footage further reviewed. Stewards dismissed the protest as they were of the view that while SWEDISH MEATBALLShad shifted out leaving the 600 metres, resulting in the two runners jostling for the position and DEE TERRORbeing inconvenienced, they felt that they could not be satisfied to the required standard that had that interference not occurred that DEE TERRORwould have beaten SWEDISH MEATBALLSto the finish line, given the margin between the two runners. All clear was given on the judge’s numbers.
