All engaged drivers at tonight’s meeting were subjected to rapid antigen tests being supervised by the Stewards prior to fulfilling their drives.
Stewards approved the following driver change due to C. Voak being unable to attend tonight’s meeting:
Race 2 – EL JESSIE – D. Harper
RACE 1 – TEAM BOND PACE (2130MS)
SKIPPYS DELIGHT NZ (C. Suvaljko) – Returned having cast a near fore plate.
RACE 2 – THE RUNNING CAMEL FILLIES & MARES PACE (2130MS)
GO WIDGIE (M. Miller) – Broke gait in the latter stages of the score-up and was out of position at the start. As the mare was on its 2nd start back in the draw, due to previously offending, the mare will be now placed outside the draw for 4 satisfactory starts in future mobile barrier events.
RACE 3 – BRIDGE BAR OPEN FOR STATE OF ORIGIN THIS SUNDAY PACE (2130MS)
LADY ZEGNA (G. Hall Jnr) – Inconvenienced when carried wide for a short distance racing towards the back straight on the final occasion when ALL BLACK RAIN (L. Harper) lay outwards momentarily.
RACE 4 – HOIST TORQUE AUSTRALIA DIV.1 PACE (2130MS)
The All Clear was delayed due to Driver S. Suvaljko (JUSTLIKE TURBO) wanting to view the photo finish for 2nd placing, no further action was taken.
TRITTRITTBANGBANG (T. Wheeler) – When racing into the front straight on the first occasion whilst racing keenly, made contact with the sulky of HESACHARMER (K. Symington) and raced roughly, consequently OH WHAT A COUNTRY (D. Harper) was inconvenienced.
RACE 5 – BOOK NOW FOR XMAS IN JULY PACE (2536MS)
ULTIMATE ROCKER NZ (J. Rigoli) – Driver J. Rigoli pleaded guilty to a charge of causing crossing under R163(1)(a)(i) for allowing the gelding to shift inwards when not sufficiently clear of SILENT REACTION (D. Egerton-Green) causing that gelding to be restrained and shorten stride racing out of the front straight on the first occasion. Driver J. Rigoli’s reinspersons licence was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 28 June 2022 expiring midnight 8 July 2022. When considering penalty Stewards took into account the degree of carelessness which was deemed high level, interference low level, the consequences of his action with one runner receiving interference, and Mr Rigoli’s driving record.
RACE 6 – COWDEN – THE INSURANCE BROKERS DIV.2 PACE (2130MS)
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 7 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 3YO WESTBRED FILLIES PREFERRED MAIDEN PACE (2130MS)

Late Report-
Gloucester Park - 17 June 2022
Race 8 – ETCH COATINGS COMMERCIAL SPRAY-PAINTING PACE (2130MS)
Stewards continued with their inquiry into an incident racing in the front straight on the final occasion where BEYOND THE SEA (C. Brown) when racing in restricted room raced roughly and lost ground. It was established that DONTBESILLYCHILLI (D. Egerton-Green) when racing on the peg line had shifted outwards quickly when tested with the whip, consequently FREE WHEELING (J. Young) moved outwards to avoid contact and as a result MISS SASSY (G. Hall Jnr) who was starting to make ground to its outside was carried outwards resulting in BEYOND THE SEA racing in restricted room and receiving interference. After considering all evidence tendered a warning was placed on DONTBESILLYCHILLI for hanging outwards.
R. Mance
Deputy Chief Steward – Thoroughbreds/Harness
