RACE 1 – SKY RACING PACE (2130MS)
VULCAN STAR NZ (R Warwick) - When questioned in relation to the reason for relinquishing the lead, Driver R Warwick stated that after being challenged by ARMED REACTOR (G Hall Jnr) with a lead time of 36.7 being recorded, he elected not to urge the gelding along in an endeavour to hold the lead and take a trailing position to have the gelding finish off the race as strongly as possible.

THE KRAKEN (M Miller) - Raced roughly for a short distance at the start. A warning was issued.
MIRRAGON (C Lewis) - Held tight by DOMINUS FACTUM (A De Campo) leaving the front straight on the first occasion with its foreleg brushing that gelding’s sulky wheel.
General: Driver A De Campo (DOMINUS FACTUM) was reprimanded under HR163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference leaving the front straight on the first occasion by holding MIRRAGON (C Lewis) tight causing its off foreleg to be brushed slightly by his sulky wheel.

No racing incidents to report.
RACE 4 – SKY RACING ACTIVE FFA PACE (2536MS)
HURRICANE HARLEY (A De Campo) - A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

MAGNIFICENT STORM (A Cortopassi) - When interviewed in relation to the disappointing performance, Driver A Cortopassi advised that the gelding over-raced and failed to settle throughout running which had detrimentally affected its performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
General: Driver C Voak (STROKE OF LUCK) was fined $200 for careless driving under HR 168(1)(a) for contacting and puncturing the sulky tyre of MIRACLE MOOSE (E Suvaljko) shortly after the start.
Driver C Wallrodt (BABYFACE ADDA) pleaded guilty to a charge under HR163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference to HAMPTON BANNER (C Lewis) by shifting up the track in the back straight on the final occasion when not fully clear of that gelding and contacting its hind leg causing it to break gait. Mr Wallrodt’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days from midnight on Sunday 13 November 2022 and to expire at midnight on Sunday, 20 November 2022. When determining penalty Stewards considered his very good record with his last suspension being in 2017, his guilty plea and the level of interference caused.

No racing incidents to report.

LUKES MISTAKE was a late withdrawal at 9.01am due to having an abscess to the near side front.
All clear was delayed to allow the Stewards to review the start to determine the reason for VELOCIPEDE (S McDonald) breaking gait in the score up and being out of position. It was established that Driver S McDonald came up to the barrier in the incorrect position and when being corrected the gelding broke gait and in such circumstances, VELOCIPEDE was deemed to have been afforded a fair start and was declared a starter.
