Trainers with multiple runners in any one race provided stewards with their intentions prior to the event.

RACE 1 - THE STORM INSIDE @ ALABAR STUD FARM CLAIMING PACE – 1800MS

VICTORY MEDAL NZ - After showing gate speed – Approaching 1500 metres surrendered the lead – Approaching the 400 metres was inconvenienced when trailing JAKE SPORTWRITER which came under pressure.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO – Raced without cover throughout.

CANADA BAY – In the early stages eased to a trailing position in the running line.

CROOKWELL JAKE - in the early stages eased to a trailing position in the running line.

JAKES SPORTWRITER - After showing gate speed was three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to the lead near the 1500 metres.

RACE 2 - HYGAIN TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY (NR 54 or better) – 2230SS

IM HECTOR – Near the 1700 metres surrendered the lead.

LORD CHANCELLOR – Near the 200 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.

ENROLLED – Broke gait after the start, a warning was issued.

ARMCHAIR DRIVE – Near the 1700 metres worked forward to the lead – Near the 1400 metres withstood challenge for the lead.

ALDEBARAN ALISSA NZ – From the 1400 metres challenged unsuccessfully for the lead – Raced outside the leader for the remainder of the race – Entering the final straight hung in and contacted markers, a warning was issued.

CHAMPAGNE PRINCE NZ – Slow out.

RACE 3 - RIDE HIGH @ ALABAR STUD FARM PACE (NR up to 72) – 2230MS

SIR ROMAN – Near the 1800 metres left the leaders back to race without cover.

ROYAL SPEECH – Near the 1800 metres obtained a trail on the back of SIR ROMAN – Near the 100 metres was inconvenienced by DANCING FINN shifting up the track.

DANCING FINN – From the 200 metres shifted out under pressure – Driver J Holberton was issued a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(www)(b) in that he had made an insufficient effort to prevent his drive hindering ROYAL SPEECH.

CLARENDEN ENVOY – Prior to the race Driver C Johnson informed Stewards that as the stable felt there was gate speed drawn to the inside he would likely be less aggressive from the gate – Near the 2000 metres eased to a trailing position on the markers.

RUDI SANDEL – Was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn.

BEE GEES BANDIT – Will be reincluded in the barrier draw for future mobile races.

RACE 4 - TAB VENUE MODE TROTTERS HANDICAP (NR up to 53) – 2230SS

The first attempt was declared a False Start when runners on the front line were slow to face up and the second row had progressed into the tape.

WINSOME RUBY – Worked forward to the lead – Near the 1200 metres surrendered the lead – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

KYVALLEY SURFERGIRL – Raced without cover throughout.

GREAT FANTASY NZ – Over raced in the early and middle stages.

TEN NO SPUR – From the 1500 metres worked forward three wide to the lead.

RACE 5 - CELEBRATE MELBOURNE CUP DAY @ 'THE GLOBE' PACE (NR 51 to 59) – 1800MS

AMMICCHI – Over raced when leading in the early and middle stages.

MAJOR MAD – After entering the final straight was unable to obtain clear running – Approaching the finish was held up, not tested.

ACES DAUGHTER – Was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn.

AMORE ROCK – After showing gate speed, obtained a trail near the 1500 metres when crossed by DELIGHTFUL GNP NZ.

DELIGHTFUL GNP NZ – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to the position outside the leader near the 1500 metres - Raced outside the leader throughout.

WHITESTARCHRISTIAN – After showing gate speed, was wide in the early stages – Worked forward three wide in the middle stages – Driver S Jones was queried in regard to his tactics in the early stages of the race.  S Jones explained that he had intended to drive the horse in its usual pattern outside the leader but after pushing forward three wide he had been surprised when the winner resisted his attempt.  He stated that despite the quick first quarter he felt from the 1100 metres his best option was to sit quietly rather than conceding ground.  After considering his explanation Stewards advised S Jones that although considering he had erred in continuing to push forward in the 28.8 second quarter, having regard to all the circumstances of the race did not consider his tactic actionable.

WHISTLE ON BY – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

DONT TELL ALICE – Near the 300 metres was held up, then unable to find clear running – Approaching the finish was held up, not tested.

TOBY OGARA NZ – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn.

RACE 6 - 2022 ALABAR SA BOTRA GOLDEN NURSERY (FINAL)(No NR) -1800MS

HONOLULU LULU – Slow out – From the 300 metres was held up – After entering the final straight had difficulty obtaining clear running.

LAYLAS PRINCESS – Settled leaders back - From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

SHEWOKEUPTHESTARS – From the 600 metres come under pressure – Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination, no clinical issues reported – A warning was issued regarding the performance (Btn 109.0 mtrs).

NICELY SPOKEN – Driver L Ryan explained that her instructions were to push forward from the gate and attempt to lead as the stable considered stamina was NICELY SPOKEN’s asset.  Having contested the early lead L Ryan explained that after LETHAL LOUIE had progressed to its outside near the 1300 metres NICELY SPOKEN had commenced to race keenly and she had elected to manage the horse rather than continue to fight it.

WAITPINGA HERITAGE – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Raced outside the leader throughout.

LETHAL LOUIE – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Continued to push forward three wide in the middle stages – Near the 1100 metres eased into a trailing position in the running line.

RUPERT ROSS – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages – Near the 1600 metres was inconvenienced when racing outside JAMAICAN ROCK – Near the 1400 metres restrained to the rear – Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination, no clinical issues reported – A warning was issued regarding the performance (Btn 110.4 mtrs).

HES ALL TORQUE – Inconvenienced at the start – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn.

JAMAICAN ROCK – Near the 1600 metres hung out, a warning was issued – Near the 1400 metres was inclined to hang in – Near the 1000 metres hung out – Raced greenly throughout, afforded a last chance to race truly.

Subsequent to the race Driver MA Smith sought to review the official image for first.  After reviewing the image with the Official Judge MA Smith the Driver was satisfied with the Judge’s decision.

RACE 7 - 2022 TAB SA ST LEGER (No NR) – 2230MS

EVER HOPING – Shifted out under pressure near the finish and was awkward for several strides.

ART JESTER – Eased to the leaders back – Used the sprint lane.

MONSIEUR STEEL – Raced outside the leader throughout.

CARLISLE CRUISER – Shortly after the start, eased to a trailing position in the running line - Shifted in under pressure near the finish.

JUST CHAI – Restrained in the early stages – Pulled its way forward under restraint three wide in the early stages – Near the 1600 metres restrained to the rear – From the 700 metres gave ground.

HONEYBUN – Out of position at the start – Driver S Pascoe was issued a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to make sufficient attempt to make position on gate.

RACE 8 - BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE (NR up to 50) – 1800MS

BARNEY FELLA – Settled leader back - From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

KAHINA – After showing gate speed, raced outside the leader throughout.

SPANMATILDA – In the early stages eased to a trailing position in the running line - From the 400 metres gave ground – Afforded a last chance to race competitively.

BETTOR BEONTOIT NZ – Three wide in the early stages – Restrained to the rear – Over raced when being restrained.

RACE 9 - BIANCO REINFORCING PACE (No NR) - 1800MS

MISCHIEVOUS MAGGIE – Settled leaders back – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

GIFTEDFROMTHEHEART – Entering the final straight raced over markers – Driver S Forby was fined $50 under Rule 163(c)(i).

WEMEN BELLA – Eased to a trailing position on the markers in the early stages.

TRUE BLUE ROSE – Near the 1600 metres eased to a trailing position in the running line.

LENNY TEE – Near the 1600 metres eased to a trailing position in the running line – Driver D Smith reported that he was unable to activate the hood owing to the chord coming undone – Trainer M Bagnato was issued a reprimand for insecure gear under Rule 273(2)(b).

SHAZZAM – Three wide early, restrained to the rear.
