Stewards reviewed an incident past the winning post on the first occasion in which MAMMA KASS (G Pullicino) was checked – After reviewing the vision it was established that MAMM KASS was checked across the wheel of THISWAYTOTHEBEACH by FLEETING FEELGOOD (S Kittel) hanging in at the same time as THISWAYTOTHEBEACH (C Johnson) had shifted out when being corrected from hanging in.  No action was taken as the Stewards considered the manners of both FLEETING FEELGOOD and THISWAYTOTHEBEACH had contributed to the incident.

Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1300 metres in which STRAWBERRY DELIGHT (D Smith) broke gait and galloped when racing inside BEANCOUNTER (S Pascoe).  After taking evidence from both drivers and reviewing the official vision Stewards charged S Pascoe under Rule 163(1)(a)(ii) in that she had allowed BEANCOUNTER to shift in to contribute to jostling during which STRAWBERRY DELIGHT broke gait.  In laying the charge Stewards were satisfied that at that point whilst BEANCOUNTER had tightened the running of STRAWBERRY DELIGHT momentarily the incident had not occurred in the act of crossing STRAWBERRY DELIGHT and that there had been no contact to the front legs of that runner.  S Pascoe pleaded guilty and was fined $200.
