RACE 1 - TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2230MS

LUV ME OR HATE ME – Hung-in in the score up, a warning was issued – Settled leaders back – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

ROCKING WITH CHARM – In the middle stages was inclined to over race when leading.

FIREBALL NZ – Driver W Hill explained that over the 2230 metres he had elected not to use the horse off the gate as he considered its two previous starts in easier races had not been strong performances – W Hill stated that FIREBALL NZ had been driven with a sit in a recent trial and had run on - He added that he had expected MAJOR MAD to take him deeper into the race than it had but the race sectionals including the quick last 800 metres had made FIREBALL NZ task difficult.  The explanation was noted.

AMORE ROCK - After showing gate speed, raced outside the leader throughout.

BIEN HOA NZ - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as per HRSA aged horse policy – Approaching the finish was held up.

RACE 2 - F & D AZZURRO EARTHWORKS PACE – 1800MS

GIANT JACKSON – Near the 1500 metres obtained a trail when crossed by BETTOR BEONTOIT NZ – From the 300 metres was held up briefly, then had difficulty in obtaining clear running.

BETTOR BEONTOIT NZ – After showing gate speed was three wide briefly – Worked forward to the position outside the leader near the 1500 metres - Raced outside the leader throughout.

JOONIOR BROWN – Near the 1600 metres eased to a trailing position in the running line – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve five wide on the final turn.

STEINMAN NZ - From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane – Driver D Billinger was fined $100 under Rule 156(4)(a) for using the whip continuously.

HONEYBUN – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn - Lost its left fore plate in running.

WHITESTARCHRISTIAN – Settled leader back – held up briefly prior to entering the final straight.

ABSTRACTOR – Stewards sought an explanation from Driver Matthew Smith as to his reasons for easing from the running line to the markers near the 700 metres – M Smith explained that he had considered GIANT JACKSON had come under pressure and felt his best option was to drop to the markers so as to improve inside that runner which then regained its position.  He added that he then looked to return to the position he had vacated had been filled by JOONIOR BROWN.  On review of the vision and the sectionals this explanation was accepted.

RACE 3 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 1800MS

SECRET JACK – Settled leaders back - From the 300 metres was held up prior to entering the final straight.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO – Out of position at the candy pole – Driver W Hill was issued a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(i) - From the 300 metres was held up prior to entering the final straight.

STAR WRITER – Near the 1600 metres was eased to a trailing position in the running line.

JULIUS FRANCO – Near the 1600 metres was eased to a trailing position in the running line.

EUREKA NZ – Claimed.

JAKES SPORTWRITER – After showing gate speed, raced outside the leader throughout.

HIT THE SKY NZ – Was disappointed for a position near the 1600 metres.

CAPTAIN MANNERING NZ - From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

RACE 4 - NEILSON GAS & PLUMBING PACE – 1800MS

KEAYANG SHAKENBAKE – Slow to begin.

ROCK TO SUCCESS – Near the 1700 metres was eased onto the leaders back.

PRECIOUS CARGO – Near the 300 metres was briefly held up on the back of BIG BLACK BETTY – After shifting down to the running line had difficulty obtaining clear running until altering course near the 50 metres.

BLOSSOM DELIGHT – After showing gate speed, obtained a trail near the 1500 metres when crossed by MONSIEUR STEEL.

MONSIEUR STEEL – After showing gate speed, was three wide in the early stages - worked forward to the position outside the leader near the 1500 metres – Raced outside the leader for the remainder of the race.

RACE 5 - HYGAIN REGAIN FILLIES & MARES PACE – 1800MS

WEMEN BELLA – Near the 1600 metres was eased to the leaders back – Driver D Billinger was issued a reprimand under Rule 162(1)(www)(a) when shifting ground near the 400 metres when not having clearance over GEORGIE MAE.

AMMICCHI – Near the 1200 metres obtained a trail when crossed by EASY ROLLING.

GEORGIE MAE – After showing gate speed, near the 1600 metres was restrained to a trailing position in the running line – Near the 400 metres was checked when attempting to improve.

ACES DAUGHTER – Broke gait in the score up, a warning was issued.

EASY ROLLING – From the 1400 metres worked forward three wide to the position outside the leader – Raced outside the leader for the remainder of the race.

RACE 6 - CLAY & MINERAL TROTTERS MOBILE – 2230MS

SUPER ANGUS – After showing gate speed, settled leaders back – Near the 1900 metres hung in and contacted marker pegs, a warning was issued.

EURYPHAESSA – After showing gate speed, worked forward to the lead near the 2100 metres -

HAMMERS LAW – Was three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to be outside the leader from the 2000 metres – New track record.

LIBERTY SONG – Out of position at the start and will continue to be drawn right out of the draw in mobile start events.

RACE 7 - TRIVIA AT 'THE GLOBE' SUNDAY JULY 3 PACE – 1800MS

CLARENDEN ENVOY – After showing gate speed, settled leaders back – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

ROCKNROLL YANKEE – After showing gate speed, raced outside the leader throughout.

JUST CAPPY – In the final straight shifted out under pressure, a warning was issued.

VICTORY MEDAL NZ – Near the 1700 metres eased to a trailing position in the running line.

RACE 8 - HAPPY 59TH ANNIVERSARY PETER & LOIS TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY – 2230SS

ENROLLED – Settled leaders back.

ARMCHAIR DRIVE – Near the 2100 metres worked forward to the lead.

REILS – Near the 2100 metres was eased to a trailing position on the markers.

MEET MICHAELANGELO – Slow to begin – Near the 1800 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.

REGAL ASSASSIN NZ – From the 2000 metres raced without cover.

SKYLINE NZ – Near the 300 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.
