RACE 1 - 2022 ALABAR GOLDEN NURSERY (HEAT 1) (No NR.) – 1800MS

SHEWOKEUPTHESTARS – Raced roughly in the score-up, a warning was issued – After entering the final straight had difficulty obtaining clear running.

HONOLULU LULU – Fractious in the score-up., a warning was issued.

NICELY SPOKEN – Three wide briefly in the early stages - Raced without cover throughout.

RUPERT ROSS – After showing gate speed, near the 1500 metres eased to the leaders back – used the sprint lane – Driver J Holberton explained that he had initially been surprised when WAITPINGA HERITTAGE had pushed forward to his inside and was then obliged to consider whether to stay parked or seek cover.  He stated that he felt that as the leader was strong late in its previous start, he had eased to the markers confident that the leader would take RUPERT ROSS to the sprint lane.  He added that owing to the slow tempo mid race RUPERT ROSS had raced much keener than previously which he felt told in its finishing effort which had not been as strong as it had shown previously.

RACE 2 - 2022 ALABAR GOLDEN NURSERY (HEAT 2) (No NR.) – 1800MS

SPIRIT OF SASSY – From the 700 metres gave ground – Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination – No clinical issues reported – Stood down 1 trial.

LAYLAS PRINCESS – After showing gate speed, settled leaders back – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

HES ALL TORQUE – Raced without cover throughout.

JAMAICAN ROCK – Raced roughly in the score-up, a warning was issued - Hung out in the score-up, a warning was issued – Hung out at various stages and raced greenly, a warning was issued.

LETHAL LOUIE – Approaching the start point shied at JAMAICAN ROCK to its inside – Three wide briefly in the early stages – Near the 1600 metres eased to a trailing position in the running line.

RACE 3 - THE GLOBE BAR & GAMING PACE (NR up to 57.) – 1800MS

As G Pullicino was indisposed W Hill was declared as the driver of MALACHITE ROCK.

THUMBS UP NZ – Settled leaders back.

MALACHITE ROCK – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn.

AMORE ROCK – After showing gate speed, raced outside the leader throughout – From the 500 metres gave ground.

TOBY OGARA NZ - From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

MAJOR MAD – Three wide in the early and middle stages – Restrained to the rear.

RACE 4 - SAHRC LIFE MEMBERS PACE (NR 58 to 69) – 1800MS

CASSIUS NZ – From the 300 metres had difficulty obtaining clear running, not fully tested.

DONT TELL ALICE – Near the 1700 metres restrained to a trailing position on the markers – Used the sprint lane – Held up late and not fully tested.

SABREUR NZ – After showing gate speed, near the 1500 metres obtained a trail when crossed by SIR ROMAN.

SIR ROMAN – Three wide in the early stages – Worked forward to the position outside the leader – Raced outside the leader for the throughout.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve four wide on the final turn.

CANADA BAY – From the 400 metres was obliged to improve five wide on the final turn.

STAR WRITER – Settled leaders back - From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

WHITESTARCHRISTIAN 

The All-clear for the race was delayed to permit Stewards to review head on vision in the final straight.  Stewards were satisfied that the leader/winner DELIGHTFUL GNP had not entered the sprint lane.

RACE 5 - HALLOWEEN @ THE GLOBE SATURDAY OCTOBER 29 PACE (NR 70 to 120) – 1800MS

STAG PARTY NZ – Settled leaders back – Over raced in the middle stages – From the 300 metres was held up prior to using the sprint lane.

BRANTLEY NZ – Near the 1700 metres eased to a trailing position on the markers – From the 300 metres was held up between runners and after entering the final; straight had difficulty obtaining clear running - Approaching the finish was held up and was not tested.

MAKE HASTE – When showing gate speed hung in, a warning was issued – Near the 1300 metres obtained a trail when crossed by WRANGLER NZ.

ASSASSINATOR – Near the 1600 metres eased to a trailing position in the running line.

WRANGLER NZ – From the 1500 metres worked forward three wide to the position outside the leader – Continued to race outside the leader.

BEE GEES BANDIT – From the 300 metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

RACE 6 - BARGAIN STEEL CENTRE PACE (NR up to 49.) – 2230MS

ABOVE AVERAGE – Driver D Hill was issued reprimand under Rule 162(1)(i) for not being in position at the candy pole – Settled leaders back.

MARIAHS SHADOW – Three wide in the early and middle stages – Restrained to the rear.

OUR MAJOR JACK NZ – Broke gait after the start, will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile races.

CELESTIAL DAYBREAK – After showing gate speed, raced outside the leader throughout – From the 500 metres gave ground – Driver K Hryhorec reported that the deafeners had not released (inspected satisfactory condition).

MANONTHEMOON – Three wide in the early stages – Restrained to the rear – Near the 900 metres was inconvenienced when improving three wide.

BETTOR BEONTOIT NZ – Near the 300 metres was briefly held up when leaving the markers.

BARNEY FELLA – Near the 2100 metres obtained a trail when crossed by CELESTIAL DAYBREAK – Near the 500 metres was inconvenienced when avoiding CELESTIAL DAYBREAK – Used the sprint lane.

STEINMAN NZ – Trainer/Driver D Billinger was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b)(ii) in that near the 900 metres he had directed STEINMAN NZ into the three wide line when not having clearance over MANONTHEMOON impeding that runner – D Billinger was fined $100 under Rule 156(a) in that he had applied the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion whilst using overt force.

RACE 7 - 2022 PARKER CLASSIC (No NR.) – 1800SS

The first attempt to start was abandoned when several runners commenced to trot and SKEW WHIFF which had shifted up the track had commenced to influence HAYOAK.  No action was taken.

NURUNDERI – Swung sideways at the start, a warning was issued – Near the 700 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.

HAYOAK – Broke after the start, a warning was issued – At various stages raced roughly, a warning was issued.

GLAMOURISE – Slow out – Near the 200 metres contacted markers, Driver M Norman was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(c)(i).

RACE 8 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY VENIECE TROTTERS MOBILE (NR up to 57) – 2230MS

WINSOME RUBY – Settled leaders back.

TEN NO SPUR – Near the 300 metres broke gait free of interference, a warning was issued.

ORLANDOS GIFT – Raced roughly after the start, a warning was issued.

GREAT FANTASY NZ – After showing gate speed raced outside the leader throughout – Over raced in the early and middle stages – From the 500 metres gave ground.

OUR SPITFIRE NZ – Three wide in the early stages – Eased to a trailing position in the running line, then markers – Used the sprint lane – Will be reinstated in the barrier draw for future mobile races.

LOVELORN – Out of position at the start, a warning was issued – Three wide in the early stages, restrained to the rear.

Globe Derby Park – Sunday – 16 October 2022 - RACE 3 – PHIL HOUSTON MEMORIAL – 2230MS

As directed Trainer L O’Neill has provided Stewards with a copy of the pathology report of blood tests taken from SO VOGUE subsequent to it racing.  The report discovered no clinical issues.

This Report and the Stewards Comments for the race meeting may be amended at the discretion of the Harness Racing South Australia (HRSA) Stewards as races are routinely reviewed.
