Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1600 metres in which OUT OF DODGE (T McMahon) contacted the sulky wheel of PLUTUS (MA Smith), broke gait and tailed the field.  After taking evidence from both drivers and reviewing the vision the Stewards were satisfied that OUT OF DODGE when being driven along had shifted out marginally of its own accord.  The Stewards noted that PLUTUS had remained in the one out line during the incident and were satisfied that OUT OF DODGE which prior to the incident had raced genuinely although slightly away from the markers had itself contributed to the incident.
