RACE 1 – NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS GLOBE DERBY HEAT TWO– 2090 METRES
HURRICANE ROCK hung in and contacted a marker peg as the field raced into the home straight on the first occasion.
MAYLEEJAE EAGLE held up early for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
RACE 2 – TASFREIGHT RAIDER STAKES HEAT TWO – 2090 METRES
ROCKNOVERTIME pulled hard at various stages and contacted marker pegs as the field raced around the home turn.
ROCKNOVERTIME utilised the sprint lane.
LANCELOT hung in and contacted marker pegs as the field raced around the home turn.
MAXI JOLT gave ground over the concluding stages.
Driver Kaleb Williams pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR168(1)(a) in that he was careless in attempting to take a run that had not fully developed to the inside of ROCKNOVERTIME (Ricky Duggan) which had momentarily hung up the track, before shifting back down as the field raced away from the 400 metres. JACK JAMES contacted the sulky of ROCKNOVERTIME and raced roughly and broke for a short distance.
RACE 3 – CAVALOR EQUICARE PACE – 2090 METRES
THE DUDE NZ broke during the score up and was out of position at the start. This gelding has been placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.
MAJOR LESTER caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field.
CARDINAL SIN NZ pulled hard at various stages.
MILITARY MAN NZ pulled hard at various stages.
Driver Ryan Backhouse pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR163(1)(b)(i) in that as the driver of SOUTHSHORE NZ he elected to shift into the three wide line as the field raced towards the bell and in doing so forced BRIDWOOD BELLA (Rohan Hillier) to momentarily race wider on the track for a short distance before gaining a position back in the three wide line. Mr Backhouse was issued a reprimand.
RACE 4 – TASMANIAN HORSE TRANSPORT PACE–1609 METRES
WAVES STRIDE broke during the score up and was out of position at the start. This gelding will continue to be placed outside the draw on future mobile start events.
BRIDWOOD CHARLY hung in during the score up before breaking and contacting the sulky of AREYOUWATCHINGTHIS (Ricky Duggan). BRIDWOOD CHARLY subsequently fell and dislodged its driver Rohan Hadley and the driver of AREYOUWATCHINGTHIS Ricky Duggan.
BRIDWOOD CHARLY underwent a veterinary examination and was withdrawn on vets’ advice. This filly will require a vet’s certificate prior to racing again.
AREYOUWATCHINGTHIS underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
Consequently, all race times for tonight’s meeting were put back one (1) race.
PEANUT SUTTER was caught wide early and restrained to the rear of the field. This gelding raced greenly in the early stages.
WAVES STRIDE was fractious before the start and raced greenly at various stages.
RACE 5 – CASCADE DRAUGHT PACE–1609 METRES
MAJOR DAVIN was caught wide early, before working forward to take up a position outside the leader.
MISSIN ROCK utilised the sprint lane.
MISSIN ROCK shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
RACE 6 –COLLINS HOMES GRANNY SMITH HEAT TWO–2090 METRES
CAROLS JUDGE underwent a pre-race veterinary examination. This mare was scratched on vets’ advice due to an injury sustained while being transported to the track. CAROLS JUDGE will require a vet’s certificate prior to racing again.
FORGOT THE WALLET broke after the start. This mare has been placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.
WRITTEN IN SILK and STEPPING STONES were checked by the galloping FORGOT THE WALLET.
LALASA caught wide early before working forward to obtain a position outside the leader.
STEPPING STONES pulled hard throughout.
CZARINA was unable to gain clear running over the concluding stages.
MISS BARTY gave ground over the concluding stages.
RACE 7 – LADBROKES PACE–2090 METRES
VIGOROSO NZ delayed the start due to a sulky change. This gelding pulled hard throughout.
EUROKING broke during the score up. No action was taken as this gelding was in position at the start.
WITH REVENGE NZ broke during the score up. No action was taken as this mare was in position at the start.
MICKEY OH raced wide early before working forward to take up a position outside the leader.
DONNY IN PARIS hung in and contacted marker pegs on the home turn. A warning has been placed on this gelding.
LAVROS MIDAS TOUCH NZ broke in the home straight on the final occasion and has been placed on its last chance to race truly.
WITH REVENGE NZ tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 74 metres. This mare underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. WITH REVENGE NZ has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
RACE 8 – 6TY BANDBOX HEAT TWO –2090 METRES
MACARIA was retired form this event due to gear failure. Trainer T Rattray pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR273(2)(b) in that he failed to correctly secure the off-side reign. Mr Rattray was fined the sum of $400.
RACE 9 – NUTRIEN SPRINTLANE PACE – 2090 METRES
MY CELEBRITY contacted marker pegs with a lap to go. A warning has been placed on this gelding.
LEFT A HURRIKANE tired to be beaten in excess of 61 metres. This gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination, revealing no apparent abnormalities. This gelding has been stood down for a period of fourteen days and the completion of two satisfactory trials.
Driver Taylor Ford pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR162(1)(h) in that she failed to come fully into her starting position. Ms Ford was issued a reprimand.
RACE 10 – PRYDES EASIFEED PACE – 2090 METRES
ROCKONPLAYBOY pulled hard various stages.
DEADLY ASSASSIN was caught wide early before working forward to take up a position outside the leader. This gelding pulled hard for the remainder of the event.
HICKSTEAD utilised the sprint lane.
EQUITY STRIDE tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 99 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. This gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
DEADLY ASSASSIN tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 63 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. This gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.
EQUITY STRIDE ($3.70 2nd favourite) Stewards queried the apparent poor performance in tonight’s event. Trainer Ben Yole express disappointment in the performance of this gelding and advised he would follow up with Stewards if anything came to light over the coming days. Stewards ordered a post-race blood samples to be taken.
Trainer Ben Yole pleaded guilty to a charge under AHRR273(2)(b) in that the carrying strap was not secure. Mr Yole was fined the sum of $100.
