All horses that raced in Launceston on Friday 22 July 2022 underwent a pre-race veterinary examination.

RACE 1 – GLENORCHY CRICKET CLUB PACE– 1609 METRES

The start of this event was delayed due to a gear adjustment on MY LADY SARAH.

WAVES STRIDE raced greenly during the score up and was out of position at the start. This gelding has been placed on its last chance in the draw.

SPORTZSILK raced roughly for a short distance after the start.

RACE 2 – ROKEBY CRICKET CLUB PACE – 2090 METRES

PUNTARNO STRIDE NZ broke during the score up but was in position when the field was released and has been placed on his last chance in the mobile draw.

DEADLY ASSASSIN gave ground over the concluding stages.

PUNTARNO STRIDE NZ gave ground over the concluding stages.

JAWBREAKER (Bronte Miller) shifted out under pressure in the home straight at the same time as OUR BALOU (Nathan Ford) hung in, causing PUNTARNO STRIDE NZ, (Corey Bell) to be slightly inconvenienced.

AHA REACTION NZ pulled hard throughout. Driver Mitch Ford was reprimanded under AHRR168(1)(a) in that on several occasions he carelessly travelled too close to the horse in front contacting the helmet of and inconveniencing driver Dylan Ford.

Driver Nathan Ford (OUR BALOU) was reprimanded under AHRR170(2) in that he allowed his upper body to protrude beyond the sulky over the concluding stages of this event.

RACE 3 – ST VIRGILS FOOTBALL CLUB PACE – 2090 METRES

MONEYS NO ISSUE gave ground over the concluding stages of this event. This gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent abnormalities were detected. The trainer reported that the gelding will be going for a spell.

RACE 4 – RACING CONNECT PACE1609 METRES

MACHS MARETA NZ raced roughly during the score up. This mare has been placed on its last chance in the mobile start draw.

SAFE JEWELS was held up for clear racing room and was inconvenienced behind the tiring CINOCAL JAMANE.

Driver Shane Edyvean momentarily dropped his foot approaching the home turn.

BETTER AMOUR shifted out under pressure on the home straight.

The all clear for this event was delayed when Driver M Yole (IDEN MISS LUCY) indicated he wished to view the patrol films over the concluding stages. After viewing the films all clear was given on the judge’s numbers.

RACE 5 – KNIGHTS CRICKET CLUB PACE2090 METRES

IYLAC BEACH broke shortly after the start and has been placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

SOMEDAN broke a girth strap and was retired from the event. A post-race inspection of this gelding’s gear showed it to be in an overall satisfactory condition.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON tired to be beaten in excess of 117 metres. This gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination where no apparent abnormalities were detected. The gelding has been stood down until it completes a satisfactory trial.

Driver Bronte Miller (MAJOR LESTER) pleaded guilty to a charge under AHHR168(1)(a) in that when shifting to a three wide position as the field approached the bell, she allowed her horse to touch the wheel of the sulky of the runner in front of her DEBT TILL WE PART, flattening its tyre. Miss Miller was fined the sum of $100.

RACE 6 –PHOENIX BASKETBALL PACE2090 METRES

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT galloped out and has been placed on its last chance in the draw for future standing start events.

WHERE YA BIN NZ galloped out and will continue to be placed outside the draw in future standing start events.

SUNROSE MASTER broke free of interference around the first time and has been placed on its last chance to race truly.

WATTABOUT SPANGHER was inconvenienced when SUNROSE MASTER galloped.

SUNROSE MASTER tired badly to be beaten in excess of 125 metres. This gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. SUNROSE MASTER has been stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

PROSECUTION WITNESS NZ tired to be beaten in excess of 85 metres. This gelding underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. PROSECUTION WITNESS NZ has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.

JAMES DEAN NZ tired to be beaten in excess of 53 metres. JAMES DEAN NZ has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.

RACE 7 – LINDISFARNE JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB PACE2090 METRES

JOHN RICHARD pulled hard throughout and was held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.

REDS GOOD TO GO broke free of interference inconveniencing THE BIG DIG and SHARMEY. This gelding has been placed on its last chance to race truly.

THE BIG DIG gave ground over the concluding stages.

RACE 8 – WOODSDALE FOOTBALL CLUB PACE2090 METRES

BE MAJOR THREAT was held up early for clear racing room as the field raced into the home straight on the final occasion.

RACE 9 – CLAREMONT CRICKET CLUB PACE2090 METRES

TO THE LOOKOUT pulled hard throughout.

IMAGE OF STARZZZ tired over the concluding stages. This horse has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.

TURQUOISE STRIDE tired over the concluding stages. This gelding has been placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Driver Tiarna Ford, (GUYS BETTOR BET) was fined the sum of $200 after pleading guilty to a charge under AHRR156(2)(a) for using her whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion.
