Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted.
RACE 1 – LATHER UP STANDING @ WOODLANDS STUD PACE (1609 MS)
A warning was issued against Byalla Boy that hung in during the score up and was out of position at the start.
Lenard Ess and Blissfull Lilly were inconvenienced by Madeeba which raced roughly and began to lose ground at the 600m.
Playa Blanca utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
A warning was issued against Madeeba which tired to be beaten 72m into last position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
RACE 2 – HYGAIN PACE (2080 MS)
Aishabeach was a late scratching at 3.52pm on Vets Advice.
Romany Brown was held up for clear running in the home straight.
Florenceofkintail utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
Sweet American NZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination in accordance with HRV policy due to the gelding being engaged to race tomorrow at Maryborough (25 July).
RACE 3 – BLUE HILLS RISE PACE (2080 MS)
A Perfect Dance raced roughly after the start and has been placed on its last chance in the draw.
Abbey Turnbull, driver of Kellys Ideal was issued a caution for failing to have her runner adequately in position at the start.
Stewards noted the pull up blinkers on Madame West failed to activate.
RACE 4 – MARK GURRY & ASSOCIATES 3YO PACE (2080 MS)
Demon Reactor was out of position at the start and will continue to be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.
James Herbertson, driver of Mistie Reign was issued a caution for failing to have his runner adequately in position at the start.
A warning was issued against Demon Reactor which tired to be beaten 52m into last position.
Luvbite utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
Chris Alford, driver of Modern Ginger was fined $100 under rule 162(1)(y) for failing to adhere to the sectional time requirements when leading through the first half of the last mile (65.4sec).
RACE 5 - CRANBOURNE FENCING PACE (1609 MS)
A warning was issued against Cee Cee Norman which broke in the score up.
Gotta Go Gladys was out of position at the start and will now be placed on its last chance in the draw.
Our Cheeky Devil was out of position at the start and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.
Bettor Sport utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
Jeremy Quinlan, trainer/driver of Our Cheeky Devil was issued a caution for shifting ground on the final turn, inconveniencing Cee Cee Norman. Mr.Quinlan was also cautioned for failing to advise Stewards of the intended driving tactics to be adopted on his two runners.
A warning was issued against Cee Cee Norman which tired to be beaten 66m into last position.
RACE 6 – DECRON PACE (1609 MS)
Border Cross underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations in accordance with HRV policy due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races, which did not reveal any significant findings.
Skedaddle Shannon broke in the score up, inconveniencing Metro Man. The gelding was out of position at the start and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.
Waiting For Love broke in the score up and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.
Terroroan began badly and will now be placed outside of the draw in future mobile start events.
Mister Nien pulled hard outside the leader.
Waiting For Love was held up for clear running on the final turn.
Border Cross was held up for clear running in the home straight.
Officially Shady utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
Stewards delayed the all clear to view footage of the start in relation to Terroroan beginning badly. After reviewing all available vision, Stewards were satisfied that a fair was affected and the all clear was given on the judges placings 4-1-7-8.
RACE 7 – CRANBOURNE CLUB 21 - TIM GARRETT PACE (1609 MS)
Tommy Bligh utilised the sprint lane in the home straight.
RACE 8 – ALDEBARAN PARK TROT (2080 MS)
Trainer Danny Mullen was cautioned for failing to advise Stewards of the intended driving tactics to be adopted on his two runners.
A warning was placed against the racing manners of Scootin Around which broke gait when clear of interference at the 300m, inconveniencing Imperial Whiz NZ and Maestro.
RACE 9 – NUTRIEN EQUINE TROT (2080 MS)
Tripod broke in the score up and will now be placed on its last chance in the draw.
Iron Love raced roughly at the 1600m and broke under pressure in the home straight.
