RACE 1 – JW O’SULLIVAN & SONS TROTTERS MOBILE -1770 metres
TARA TUFF– Tired over the concluding 400 metres to be beaten some distance.
JUNGLE SPIDER– Pre-race blood sample was taken.
ERATIGENA– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Driver G Forrest was advised to exercise care when shifting his runner down to the lead when he marginally tightened the running of JUNGLE SPIDER entering the first turn. Became unbalanced before breaking stride leaving the 300 metres. A warning was issued.
PHARISEE– Post-race swab sample was taken.
DOWN UNDER RORS– A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having had over 200 lifetime starts. No abnormalities were detected upon either examination.
CRITTER BOY– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 400 metres.
RACE 2 – AV STONE MARBLE & GRANITE PACE – 1770 metres
IDEAL HEAVEN– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Surrendered the lead in the early stages of the event passing the 1200 metres.
CATCHINGCONFIDENCE– Became unbalanced before breaking stride shortly after the start was affected. A warning was issued. It was reported that the filly dropped a near side knee boot during the run. Raced three wide for the final 800 metres without cover.
GELIGNITE JOE– Raced three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1400 metres.
MISS STORMY GREY– Raced three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample was taken.
HUMMING TOP– Pre-race blood sample was taken.
RACE 3 – EXQUISITE JEWELLERS KIPPAX PACE – 1770 metres
MISS BALLET– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Stewards queried the driving tactics of P Sapio in the early stages of the event between the 1400 metres and the 1200 metres where she elected to attempt to hold the lead when challenged by BABY BEE MINE. Miss Sapio stated that her runner had been working well leading into the event and it was her intention to go forward and keep the tempo up in the early stages. She further stated that she thought if she let BABY BEE MINE work to the lead in the early stages that the pace would come out of the race and that wouldn’t suit her runner. Stewards noted her comments.
SAFARI DANCER– Pre-race blood sample was taken.
CINDAROCKINRELLA– Out of position when the start was affected due to the mare shying at the door on the operators cab on the mobile coming open in the latter stages of the score up. No further action was taken. Raced three wide for the final 800 metres without cover.
LIGHT UP LILY– Driver G Forrest was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain the position behind the barrier arm until the start was affected. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion before obtaining clear running passing the 100 metres.
BABY BEE MINE– Raced three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 120 metres.
ZOSHADY– Became unbalanced before breaking stride shortly after the start was affected. A warning was issued.
RACE 4 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1770 metres
LATIN DANCER– Driver P Sapio was cautioned for the manner in which he applied the whip in the home straight on the final occasion.
FLASHLIGHT DANCER– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Approaching the 1500 metres was tightened and contacted the sulky of ONETWO THREECHEESE when that runner hung in and as a result was checked and broke. Became unbalanced before breaking stride passing the 200 metres. A warning was issued.
NIFTY RONALD– Stewards queried driver A Day on her driving tactics passing the 1000 metres when electing to not take cover when ALBERIO had worked forward three wide. Miss Day stated that it was her intention to drive the gelding in a forward position on the pace of the event and given that there was only 1000 metres left in the event when ALBERIO worked forward she elected not to let him go at that point. She further stated that she was slightly disappointed in the way the gelding finished the event off and connections may look to drive the gelding in a different manner in future starts. Stewards noted her comments.
ONETWO THREECHEESE– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before hanging in passing the 1500 metres and as a result FLASHLIGHT DANCER contacted the sulky of ONETWO THREECHEESE and as a result was checked and broke. A warning was issued.
ALBERIO– Raced three wide for the final 1000 metres without cover.
SWEET ANNIE NZ– Post-race swab sample was taken.
LYNTON CREEK NZ– Pre-race blood sample was taken.
RACE 5 – GLEN MIA SADDLERY (ACT) PTY LTD PACE – 2170 metres
LAST TIME JOE– Inconvenienced after the start was affected when AKUMA hung in. Entering the home straight on the final occasion hung out and raced roughly before breaking stride. Due to the gelding’s record LAST TIME JOE was stood down for one requalifying trial.
NOWHERENEAR CRAZY– Inconvenienced after the start was affected when AKUMA hung in. Post-race swab sample was taken.
AKUMA– Hung in shortly after the start was affected. A warning was issued. Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1800 metres. Had a tendency to over race whilst outside the leader. Hung in passing the 700 metres. The gelding was given its last chance to race truly. Driver A McElhinney was cautioned for allowing his right foot to lower from the sulky rest momentarily whilst activating gear passing the 600 metres. Checked entering the home straight on the final occasion when LAST TIME JOE had broken stride.
MY COURTELL– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Had a tendency to over race during the middle stages of the event. Checked entering the home straight on the final occasion when LAST TIME JOE had broken stride.
MISS PAU– Checked entering the home straight on the final occasion when LAST TIME JOE had broken stride.
POLKA DOT DANCE NZ– Pre-race blood sample was taken. During the early stages of the score up got a rein burr caught causing the mare to be reluctant to turn around resulting in the mare being fractious. No further action was taken.
RACE 6 – ACT TYREPOWER BELCONNEN PACE – 2170 metres
SHESAGRADUATE– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Held up for clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
FLEUR BELLA– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Checked shortly after the start was affected when DILETTO had broken stride. Momentarily locked wheels with TASTE IT leaving the 400 metres.
PASS THE BATON– Declared a late scratching at 3.35pm on vets advice.
DILETTO– Became unbalanced shortly after the start was affected and broke stride. A warning was issued.
DALLAS CHARLIE– Had a tendency to over race throughout the early and middle stages of the event whilst leading the event. Contacted a marker peg passing the 600 metres when the gelding hung in slightly.
TASTE IT– Momentarily locked wheels with FLEUR BELLA leaving the 400 metres.
JACCKA LUCAS NZ– Checked after the start when DILETTO had broken stride. Post-race swab sample was taken.
ICE BLASTER– Checked after the start was affected when DILETTO had broken stride.
RACE 7 – OSKAR MEMORIALS 2YO PACE – 1770 metres
MODERN MILEY– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Post-race swab sample was taken.
MINENOTYOURS– Pre-race blood sample was taken. Had a tendency to over race throughout various stages of the event. A warning was issued.
MANKIND– Hung out shortly after the start was affected. A warning was issued
TOTHETRAIN STATION– Hung out leaving the 1000 metres. A warning was issued.
SPORTS LINER– It was reported that the deafeners failed to release in the concluding stages of the event due to the activation cord breaking.
