A post-race veterinary examination of BUSHBELLE (H. Charles) which was beaten 156m revealed no abnormalities. Will be stood down from racing for a period of 6 days and until such time as the completion of 1 satisfactory re-qualifying trial. Trainer M. Cox advised that he would not be racing the filly again.

MAL BOY (H. Charles) – The offside sulky tyre deflated racing in the front straight in the run to the finish.

RACE 3 – BREATHE ACCOUNTING L4 DIV.2 PACE (1609MS)
Stewards held up the All Clear until confirming with all Drivers that they had received a fair start as the mobile barrier dwelt at release point and was slow to clear the front line. All Drivers were satisfied that they had not been denied a fair start and the All Clear was given.
No racing incidents to report.
RACE 4 – OAKFORD STOCKFEEDS PACE (2100MS)
A pre-race veterinary examination of NOVEL APPROACH (C. Lewis) following its preliminary passed the mare fit to start.
CHASING COOPER (C. Playle) – Broke gait shortly after the start. Will be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier events.
General: Stewards questioned Drivers Mitchell Miller (ASHIMA) and Chris Voak (RISKITFORDABISKIT) in respect to the contest between these runners for the lead when a lead time was run in 35.0 seconds.
Driver M. Miller stated that it was always his intention to lead as the mare’s recent form had been good, he further expected that Driver C. Voak would restrain his drive. Mr Miller was informed that whilst his assessment was not unreasonable, if unduly pressured he must ensure he then affords his drive every opportunity.
Driver C. Voak stated that after initially challenging for the lead, he elected to restrain his drive, however felt that Driver M. Miller may have relinquished the lead. Thereafter he had endeavoured to rate his drive as he could not restrain it behind ASHIMA. Stewards advised Mr Voak that his drive had given them some concerns and they felt he may well have been able to show more vigour in attempting to restrain the filly.
