General: Driver E. Johnson (NAVY STREET) was reprimanded under R163(1)(a) for crossing, in that on entering the front straight to receive the bell, Ms Johnson took her horse from the one out line to the marker peg line when not sufficiently clear of HAPPY DAYZ (K. Symington) causing that runner to race roughly for a short period. In issuing a reprimand Stewards took into account that when Ms Johnson initiated the move there was enough room but Ms Johnson stated her horse was slow to react. Ms Johnson being a junior driver was also taken into consideration with Ms Johnson’s very good driving record under this rule. Ms Johnson was referred to the Driving Master Mr T. Warwick.
