As Driver N. Hurst wasn’t attending tonight’s meeting the following, driving changes were approved;

Stewards will speak with N. Hurst in regards to him failing to fulfil his engagements.
RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE - 2260metres
COS SHE CAN – Pre-race blood sample. A false start was declared on the first occasion when the filly broke due to the speed of the mobile. No action was taken. Stewards questioned Driver N. Turnbull in regards to the performance of the filly which weakened from the 600 metres to be beaten 96 metres. N. Turnbull stated that the filly never felt comfortable throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer N. Turnbull was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to racing or trialling.
MAJOR MELODY – Between the 600 metres and 400 metres checked behind the tiring COS SHE CAN. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
SHANERRA STAR NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – STU VALENTINE 4 BLOODSTOCK INS PACE – 1730metres
FAYS DELIGHT – A false start was declared on the first occasion when the mare broke stride as a result of JOES REDEMPTION improving onto her back. In the circumstances no action was taken.
SHANNONSIDEAL – Pre-race blood sample.
A ROCKNROLL STAR – Pre-race blood sample.
YES YOU MAY – Driver I. Ross pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that leaving the 400 metres when shifting wider on the track she has contacted the off side sulky wheel of TULHURST TERROR and as a result that tyre was flattened. Driver I. Ross was fined $200.
TULHURST TERROR – Near the 400 metres had its off side sulky wheel contacted and a result the tyre was flattened.
RACE 3 – BHRC STALLION TENDER DUE PACE – 2260metres
FIFTEEN ACES – Post-race swab sample.
THE RAINBOW BEACH – Pre-race blood sample.
BAXTER RED – Stewards questioned Driver A. Turnbull in regards to the performance of the gelding which weakened from the 500 metres. A. Turnbull stated that in the early stages of the event she attempted to obtain a position behind THE RAINBOW BEACH however when the temp of the event eased she was obliged to work forward to the position outside the lead. A. Turnbull added that once racing outside the lead the gelding only travelled fairly and when placed under pressure failed to finish the race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
IM CAPTAIN MAX NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
INFINITY BEACH – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
KEILOR BABY SHARK – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 4 – GC37 2YO SUSTAINING PAYMENTS DUE 30 NOV PACE – 1730metres
SAINT VERNAN – Post-race swab sample.
PIPPO NIEN – Pre-race blood sample.
EAGLE COMMANDER – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
IRVINE – Pre-race blood sample.
ROCKNROLL TIMES – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
RACE 5 – GC36 3YO SUSTAINING PAYMENTS DUE 30 NOV PACE – 1730metres
BOSCH NZ – Trainer B. Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
DARK TERROR – Pre-race blood sample.
SMOOTH OVERARM NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
CAMANCHI WARRIOR – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – HARNESS TRADING RING 2YO FILLIES OACE – 1730metres
WHISPERS – Pre-race blood sample.
ABERCROMBIE LIMBO – Pre-race blood sample.
BETTING JEWEL – Post-race swab sample.
TRIPLE EMM – Raced roughly near the 500 metres.
RACE 7 – GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS PACE – 1730metres
CHISELED – Post-race swab sample.
JUSTA DRAGON – Near the 250 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.
RIPPIN RUPERT – Pre-race blood sample. Stewards questioned Driver B. Hewitt in regards to the performance of the gelding which performed below market expectations. B. Hewitt stated that after finding the lead the horse didn’t travel as well as he would have liked and when challenged rounding the home turn failed to respond to his driving. B. Hewitt further added that in his opinion that horse may not have come up this preparation along with his opinion being that the horse may be better driven with cover. Stewards noted the comments.
MOTHERS DELIGHT – Pre-race blood samples.
RACE 8 – LLOWALONG FARMS MAIDEN PACE – 2260metres
JIMMYMCCHOWE – Pre-race blood samples. Galloped out at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.
LORD OF MISRULE NZ – Pre-race blood samples.
SHES AN ARTIST – Slow to begin.
VILDE CHAYA – Inconvenienced near the 600 metres when PASSED DARK broke.
POPPY FRANCO – Tired from the 500 metres to be beaten 50 metres. A warning was issued.
PASSED DARK – Near the 600 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued. Will now be re-included in the mobile barrier draw.
MCARDLE MAGIC – Post-race swab sample.
