RACE 1 – THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1640 metres

SELMUN PLACE– Pre race blood sample. Surrended the lead to SHANDIIN BEACH at the 1100 metres.

TOUGH TALKS– Driver A Turnbull was fined the sum of $200 under rule 156(2)(a) when applying her whip in the home straight on the final occasion has done so with more than a wrist flicking action. Post race sample.

SHANDIIN BEACH– Worked forward to obtain the lead at the 1100 metres.

OUR ULTIMATE RUBY– Driver G Betts was advised to exercise care when activating gear at the 200 metres has allowed his runner to shift up the track slightly as a result, tightening the running of FIGHT FOR FALBY.

FIGHT FOR FALBY– Tightened for racing room at the 200 metres when OUR ULTIMATE RUBY had shifted up the track.

 

RACE 2 – BLAYNEY TYREPOWER MAIDEN PACE – 1640 metres

TORQUE NO FEAR– Pre race blood sample.

HAZZA IS WATCHING– Post race sample.

BELLRIVERGIRL– Broke stride shortly after the start was effected. The filly will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

ITS ON THE TRACK– Galloped out when the start was effected. The gelding will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts. Due to the ground lost while galloping the gelding took no competitive part in the race.

MATATOA– Worked forward three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader at the 1200 metres. Driver M Rue was issued a reprimand under rule 52(5) for failing to present his runner to the all clear.

 

RACE 3 – BERNARDI’S MARKETPLACE PACE – 1640 metres

MISTER QUIRK – Post race sample.

YAYAS HOT HEART- Pre race blood sample.

DAWSON SHARD NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to the position outside the leader at the 1100 metres.

WARRAWEE CRUZIN– Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event.

BEN DETTO– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event. Unable to obtain clear running until the final 80 metres.

 

RACE 4 – CLUB VOLUNTEERS PACE – 2000 metres

BETTER THAN LEXYWorked forward three wide until obtaining theposition outside the leader at the 1800 metres. Post race sample.

BLING THE LUCK– Inconvenienced in the middle stages of the score up when SABELLA SHANNON shifted in slightly and as a result has broke stride for a short distance. Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to a position in the running line at the 1600 metres. Tired over the final 400 metres to be beaten 43 metres. Driver N Turnbull stated the filly travelled comfortably throughout the event but when shifted wider at the 500 metres and placed under pressure failed to respond and was disappointing in the run to the finish.

SABELLA SHANNON– Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field at the 1700 metres.

THE BATTLE WE FACE- Pre race blood sample.

THE ROGUE I AM– Inconvenienced between the 300 metres and 150 metres when trailing MODERN MCDEE who was yielding ground.

 

RACE 5 – BLAYNEY PHARMACY LADYSHIP PACE – 1640 metres

CARIBBEAN PAT- When negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.

MENDOZA LASS– Pre race blood sample.

STUDLEIGH STARLITE– Worked forward to obtain the lead at the 1400 metres, then was unable to hold the lead when challenged for that position by FROZEN JEWEL at the 1150 metres. Trainer / driver J Davis was questioned on the overall performance of the filly. J Davis stated he was slightly disappointed in the run but believed the filly maybe short of a run as it hasn’t started for three weeks since Menangle on the 15th of October 2022. He further added the filly had not raced as tractably as in previous runs. Post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

FROZEN JEWEL– Worked forward three wide from the 1350 metres until obtaining the lead at the 1150 metres. Post race sample.

TACKAS PRINCESS– Despite the efforts of its driver was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

HOLY CAMP CAPRHYSE– Carried a flat tyre for the final 600 metres when contacted by LOU CEE.

LOU CEE– Driver W Cassell was issued a reprimand under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving when approaching the 600 metres has allowed his runner to improve to the inside of HOLY CAMP CAPRHYSE contacting that runners sulky. In not taking any further action stewards considered the available race day footage angle, also the racing manners of HOLY CAMP CAPRYCE.

TWISTED MISTRESS– Raced three wide for the final 800 metres without cover.

 

RACE 6 – SQUIRES SIGNS PACE – 1640 metres

ASH PARK- Post race sample.

PREACHER QUINCE– Became unbalanced at the 400 metres and broke stride. A warning was issued.

SIX TIMES A LADY NZ- Pre race blood sample.

TIZA NEW DAY– Raced three wide in the early stages until obtaining the position outside the leader at the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 7 – PETER MASHALL MEMORIAL HEAT 1 – 2000 metres

SMOOTH BON BONWorked forward to obtain the lead from GOLDEN ZARA at the 1600 metres. Post race sample.

PREACHERS DAUGHTER– Unable to obtain clear racing room until the final 100 metres.

ITZALLABOUTNED– Surrended the lead to GOLDEN ZARA at the 1800 metres.

GOLDEN ZARA- Pre race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead at the 1800 metres then surrended the lead to SMOOTH BON BON at the 1600 metres.

VALENTEENO– Worked forward three wide from the 1600 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader at the 1300 metres.

YES YOU MAY– Had a tendency to over race throughout the event. Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 8 – PETER MASHALL MEMORIAL HEAT 2 – 2000 metres

ROLL THE SEVEN– Pre race blood sample.

PROMISING– Worked forward three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader at the 1100 metres.

SCARAMUCCI – Trainer representative T Rue was fined the sum of $100 under rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the gelding to race with the incorrect saddle cloth number.

LEXIE GIRL– Raced three wide in the early stages until obtaining the position outside the leader at the 1650 metres, then continued to work forward to obtain the lead from ROLL THE SEVEN at the 1500 metres. Post race sample.

TULHURST DANCER– Had a tendency to race roughly for a short distance at the 550 metres.

DARABONT– At the request of connections the gelding will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
