Trainers with multiple horses engaged in any given race were questioned as to the intended driving tactics to be adopted

 

RACE 1 BDTC150 ON TWITTER VICBRED PACE (2200 MS)

The Regulator was held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

Asmileandawinx was held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

Gozo Courage was held up inside the final 200m and as a result was not fully tested.

Asmileandawinx was inconvenienced approaching the 100m when disappointed for a run between Gozo Courage and The Regulator.

RACE 2 TERRACE RESTAURANT DINING BOOK NOW VICBRED PACE (2200 MS)

Caruso Star pulled hard during the middle stages.

David Murphy, driver of Atego Shades, accidentally dropped his left foot passing the 500m.

Brad Chisholm, trainer/driver of Miradero, was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the mare in comparison to its most recent start at Shepparton on 17 July 2022. Mr Chisholm explained that at its most recent start Miradero struck its knee and as a result it performed poorly. Mr Chisholm added since that event remedial farrier work had been performed which resulted in Miradero trialling well at Bacchus Marsh on 23 July 2022 on that performance he was confident of a forward showing.  Post-race swab samples were taken from Miradero.

RACE 3 – FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM  BALLARATTROTTINGCLUB PACE (1790 MS)

Heavenly Brigade NZ which broke during the score up and was out of position at the start will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

Passing the 1700m No Win No Worries contacted the sulky of Kool Kari and paced roughly as a result.

A Perfect Dance pulled hard during the middle stages.

Zac Phillips, driver of Dreamers Delight NZ, was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that inside the final 200m he applied the whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion.

RACE 4 – 70S & 80S 10TH DECEMBER 2022 2YO MAIDEN TROT (1710 MS)

Majestic Shining broke after the start and will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

Majestic Shining broke passing the 1200m.

Vici Bloom broke passing the 300m and shifted out checking Aldebaran Freda which broke as a result.

Tayla French, driver of Stevie Gee, explained she drove the colt out with limited vigour inside the final 150m due to Stevie Gee having its first race start.

RACE 5 - LATHER UP @ WOODLANDS PACE (2200 MS)

Modern Bliss was held up inside the final 200m and as a result was not fully tested.

Breathe Easy was held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

Itzamajor Surprise underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to the mare being engaged the following evening which revealed no significant findings.

RACE 6 – 70S & 80S SHOW BOOK NOW PACE (1710 MS)

Whats Stanley Got raced roughly during the final stages of the score up and lost ground resulting in Boxofchocolates being checked as the start was affected. Whats Stanley Got will now be placed on its last chance in the draw.

Muckinbar Diva was held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

Our Classie Reactor NZ was held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

Boxofchocolates was held up inside the final 50m.

Kerryn Manning, driver of Our Classie Reactor NZ, was fined $100 under Rule 156(3) for using the whip in an unapproved manner in that inside the final 200m she applied the whip on more occasions than permitted.

RACE 7 – FLYING HORSE ENTERTAINMENT VENUE PACE (1710 MS)

Blissfull Mind was held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.

Onecrowdedhour was held up inside the 50m.

RACE 8 – DECOGLAZE SPLASHBACKS TROT (2200 MS)

Naked Ambition broke during the score up and was out of position prior to the start before again breaking gait after the start. Naked Ambition will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

Icicle broke after the start and will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

RACE 9 – INTERPATH PACE 3YO TROT (2200 MS)

Constant was out of position at the start and will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

Goodgirlsavenger broke approaching the 1400m.

Mojito Madness was held up inside the final 200m after being unsuccessful in easing More Wanted wider.

RACE 10 – ISUZU UTE BALLARAT 3YO PACE (2200 MS)

Mark Pitt, driver of Sergios Rocket, was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(y) for failing to adhere to the minimum sectional time requirements for the first half of the last mile which was recorded in 64.6 seconds, 0.6 seconds outside the allowable time. In arriving at this outcome Stewards were mindful of the slower than average lead time which was recorded.

Vinny Rock was held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.

RACE 11 – WWW.BALLARATTROTTINGCLUB.COM.AU TROT (2200 MS)

Spotlight broke during the score up and was out of position prior to the start before again breaking gait after the start. Spotlight will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

Mielicki was out of position at the start and will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

Shaunie USA broke clear of interference approaching the 1900m inconveniencing Majestic Achiever NZ.

Shaunie USA hung in under pressure approaching the finish tightening Six Nations.

Emmett Brosnan, driver of Aldebaran Huey, was fined $200 under Rule 162(1)(y) for failing to adhere to the minimum sectional time requirements for the first half of the last mile which was recorded in 68.0 seconds, 3.0 seconds outside the allowable time. In doubling the usual penalty Stewards were mindful of the amount in which the required time was exceeded by.
