Stewards noted the intended tactics from trainers with multiple runners in the one race

Race 1 - PSP TROTTERS MOBILE  2138M

Kenny Keko NZ (Adam Sanderson)– Slow to begin. When questioned Adam Sanderson confirmed his disappointment with the mare’s performance and advised it never travelled well at any stage of the race. Trainer also confirmed her disappointment and informed Stewards that she would discuss the matter with the previous connections and would apply additional work to mare before again racing her. Stewards noted this undertaking.

Hello Jolene Jolene NZ (Grant Dixon)– Raced wide in the middle stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Carnera (Chris Petroff) – Shifted in and contacted marker posts leaving the 1900 m.

Rigondeaux (Pete McMullen)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Do Ball (Narissa McMullen)– Broke gait near the 800 m. The gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Down Under Rors (John Cremin)– Broke gait when attempting to take a run to the inside of Kenny Keko NZ where doubtful racing room existed near the 600 m.  Back in the draw in mobile events.

Race 2 - THE CREEK MEMBERSHIP UP TO NR70 PACE  2138M

So Am I (Leonard Cain)– Driver reprimanded for allowing horse to shift in near the 200 m resulting in contact with marker posts. (R.163(1)(c). Held up for a clear run at a vital stage in the straight.

Saginaw NZ (Brendan Barnes)– Raced wide in the middle stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.  Inclined to lay in under pressure in the run to the straight which prevented the driver from being able to drive the gelding out to the finish.

Race 3 - KELATO ANIMAL HEALTH PACE      1660M

Dancintothebeat (Shane Graham)– Held up for a clear run to the finish.

The Casual Goose (Hayden Barnes)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Williewa Lightning (Pete McMullen)– Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position in the lead.

Lord Digby (Nathan Dawson)– Raced wide in the middle stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.  

Race 4 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT PACE    1660M

Bella Godiva (Zac Chappenden)– Slow to begin.

Jacobs Thunder (Graham Betts)– Shifted in when under pressure and contacted a marker post near the 200 m.

Race 5 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE  1660M

Lady Allegra (Ricky Hunt) - Driver Ricky Hunt was fined $200 for using his whip in an approved manner over the final 200 m of the event. (R.156(2)).

Motu Cullen NZ (Jonah Hutchinson)– Fractious leaving the pre-race circle. Back from its allocated position at the start. The gelding will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

Bettor Rocknroll (Pete McMullen)– Broke gait after the start. The gelding will be continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner. Broke gait near the 1400 m. The gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly

Race 6 - BETAVET RECOVERY UP TO NR90 PACE     1660M

No racing incidents

Race 7 - VALE NOLA TURPIN PACE    1660M

Crunch Time (Nathan Dawson)– Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Race 8 - AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS PACE  1660M

Brilliant Art (David McKenzie)– Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Chase The Magic (Leonard Cain)– Broke gait in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

Race 9 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE  1660M

Jilliby Jackpot (Angus Garrard) – Contacted marker posts near the 300 m when tightened for room to the inside of Geldorf

Geldof (Amanda Payne) – Hung in leaving the 300 m tightening Jilliby Jackpot.

Rosarito (Phoebe Betts) – Back in draw in mobile events

Isolation (Gemma Hewitt) - Driver Gemma Hewitt fined $200 for using her whip in an approved manner by continuous application over the final 200 m of the event. (R.156(3)).
