Stewards noted the intended tactics from trainers with multiple runners in the one race

Race 1 - AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS TROTTERS HANDICAP     2138M

Mix It Up (Luke Whittaker)– Broke gait approaching the turn out of the front straight near the 1900 m. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Miss Memphis (Kelli Dawson)– Fractious before the start.

Jet Legs (Darren McCall)– Inconvenienced at the 1900 m. when Mix It Up galloped. Shifted in striking the sulky wheel of Banff resulting the gelding breaking gait at the 1200 m. In view of the gelding’s previous record Jet Legs was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.

Banff (Grant Dixon)– Inconvenienced near the 1900 m. when Mix It Up galloped.

Confiscated (Brendan Barnes)– Checked and broke near the 1900 m. when Mix It Up galloped.

Race 2 – GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP       2138M

Matatoki NZ (Angus Garrard)– Broke gait approaching the 1900m. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Rigondeaux (Nathan Dawson)– Galloped at the start. A warning was issued. Broke gait leaving the 800 m. A warning was issued.

Aladdin Sane NZ (Grant Dixon)– Broke gait leaving the 200 m. In view of the gelding’s previous record Aladdin Sane NZ was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.

Race 3 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE           1660M

Fancy Like Barbie (Chloe Butler)– Near side sulky wheel struck and puncture near the 600 m.

Shoobee Right (Shane Graham)– Checked near the 600 m when Holme Boy galloped.

Bold Medley Jujon NZ (Grant Dixon)– Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position in the lead.

Whos To Blame (Riley Butt)- Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events. Inclined to hang in during the event.

Holme Boy (Mathew Neilson)– Contacted sulky wheel and broke gait near the 600 m. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Race 4 - LUNCHBOX LODGE UP TO NR70 PACE        1660M

BETTORS HOPE (Lachie Manzelmann)Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding will be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events until Stewards are satisfied it can perform in the desired manner.

HY VOLTAGE (Brendan Barnes)– Contacted own sulky with hind legs during early stages of the event.

Race 5 – VALE MAX TOWNS PACE     2138M

Beach On Fire (Leonard Cain)– Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring Forgive Me leaving the 600 m.

Forgive Me (Nathan Dawson)– Overraced and pulled hard during the event. Gave ground badly over the final 600 m finishing 67.5 metres from the winner. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. Driver was of the view the gelding choked down during the event. Stewards declared Forgive Me ineligible to race until it trials satisfactorily.

Maffioso Girl (Matt Elkins)– Shifted in and contacted a marker post near the 1900 m. Broke gait on the turn into the front straight at the 200 m. Given the horse's previous good record in this regard the mare will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Race 6 - SUNSHINE STARS YEARLING SALE BAND 5 CONDITIONED PACE   1660M

Bumper (Angus Garrard)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Heaven In Locksley (Narissa McMullen)– Gave ground after racing outside of the leader to be beaten 47.5 metre. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. Trainer was of the opinion that the gelding failed to back up from its run four (4) days ago.

Perfect Cut NZ (Chloe Butler)– Overraced and pulled hard during the event.

Roll One Over (Matt Elkins)– Shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish.

Race 7 – ATLAS COPCO PACE           2138M

Hez On The Buzzer NZ (Brendan Barnes)– Raced roughly approaching the turn out of the front straight after the start.

Strong Response (Nathan Dawson) – Overraced and pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

Race 8 - BETAVET HEALING PACE     1660M

Press Statement (Leonard Cain)– Restrained to a mid-field trailing position after being caught wide in the early stages.

Lochart Shard NZ (Nathan Dawson)– Restrained to a mid-field trailing position after being caught wide in the early stages.

Back To Betoota (Brendan Barnes) – Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader. Broke gait leaving the 200 m. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. In view of the gelding’s previous record Back To Betoota was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.

Race 9 - A ROCKNROLL DANCE AT SOMERSET FARMS VETERANS PACE   1660M

Admiral Bronski (Adam Richardson)– Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring the Warfare leaving the 400 m.

Warfare (Nathan Dawson)-Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader. Gave ground over the final 400 m.

Swaggie Shannon (Shane Graham)– Raced wide without cover over the final 800 m.
