Race 1 - BURWOOD STUD UP TO NR90 FINAL 1660M
Bee Gees Bandit (Matt Elkins) hung in and contacted a marker peg on the final turn.
Race 2 – TAB CONSTELLATIONS JULY QUALIFYING PACE 2138M
Nicks Pick (Angus Garrard) hung in on the final turn and contacted marker pegs. Shifted out abruptly when the driver activated the blinds on entrance to the home straight.
Isolation (Gemma Hewitt) inconvenienced at the 800 metres when Lochiel NZ moved from a position to the inside.
Scotch En Ice (Matt Elkins) checked and raced roughly on entrance to the home straight when racing to the outside of Nicks Pick which was moving out from behind the leader.
Falcons (Ricky Thurlow) shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish. Connections were advised to take the necessary corrective measures to ensure Falcons keeps a straight course. Trainer Ricky Thurlow advised he may add a Murphy blind to Falcons.
Strong Response (Nathan Dawson) pulled hard throughout the event.
Asterism (Justin Elkins) inconvenienced in the run to the finish when racing to the outside of Falcons which shifted out.
General
Dannielle Veivers (Lochiel NZ) was reprimanded under AHR rule 168 (1) (a) for carelessly shifting wider approaching the 800 metres when insufficiently clear of Isolation (Gemma Hewitt) which caused that gelding to be checked momentarily.
Angus Garrard (Nicks Pick) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving under AHR rule 168 (1) (a) for when activating a blind on entrance to the home straight, he allowed Nicks Pick to shift out which caused a contact to the near side hind leg of Scotch En Ice which paced roughly as a result. In assessing the matter of penalty stewards took into account mitigating circumstances in that Nicks Pick had raced ungenerously on the final turn hanging in contacting marker pegs and shifted out abruptly when the blinds were activated. Angus Garrard was fined $200.
Race 3 - 1EQUINE GOLF DAY UP TO NR90 CONSOLATION 1660M
Just Rokin (Pete McMullen) inclined to race keenly and pulled hard when positioned outside the leader which contributed to the mare tiring in the concluding stages.
Race 4 - THE CREEK MEMBERS BONUS BAND 4 - BAND 2 PACE 2138M
Fire Fox NZ (Cameron Hart) pulled hard when racing at the rear of the field. Cameron Hart was reminded of his obligation to ensure his body remains within the confines of the sulky.
Race 5 – HAPPY 18TH CHELSEA KELLY BAND 5 PACE 1660M
Courageous Saint (Adam Sanderson) broke in the early stages of the score up but was in position when the start was affected. A warning was issued.
General
Ricky Alchin (Watts Up Sunshine) was fined $200 under AHR rule 156 (2) (a) for engaging the elbow and shoulder when applying the whip in the run to the finish.
Race 6 - LUCKY CREED OPEN PACE (LISTED) 2680M
Aphorism (Shane Graham) inconvenienced in the front straight on the first occasion when the pace of the one wide line slackened.
Gottashopearly (Nathan Dawson) hung in on the final turn and contacted two marker pegs.
Race 7 – BONUS BONANZA SATURDAY BAND 5 PACE 1660M
Saving Major Percy (Nathan Dawson) held up for clear running in the concluding stages.
Race 8 - CHANGEOVER @ BURWOOD STUD MARES QUALIFYING PACE 1660M
This Ones For You (Chris Geary) contacted a marker peg on entrance to the sprint lane.
Somegirlsomewhere (Pete McMullen) inconvenienced at the 1300 metres when the pace in the one wide line eased considerably.
Clowns Tothe Left (Shane Graham) off side sulky wheel contacted by Lady Avana NZ on entrance to the home straight.
Lady Avana NZ (Grant Dixon) held up for clear running on entrance to the home straight and contacted the off side sulky wheel of Clowns Tothe Left when racing keenly. Failed to gain clear running in the concluding stages and was not fully tested.
Soho Almasi (Luke McCarthy)inconvenienced at the 1300 metres when the pace in the one wide line eased considerably.
Platinum Revolution NZ (Trent Dawson) inconvenienced at the 1300 metres when the pace in the one wide line eased considerably.
General
Will Rixon (Girls Are The Best NZ) was reprimanded under AHR rule 162 (1) (u) for abruptly reducing the pace at the 1300 metres which caused runners in the one wide line to be inconvenienced.
Chris Geary (This Ones For You) was reprimanded under AHR rule 163 (1) (c) (1) for carelessly contacting a marker peg on entrance to the sprint lane.
Race 9 - PSP BAND 4 - BAND 2 PACE 2138M
Fond Memories (Grant Dixon) held up for clear running in the run to the finish.
Race 10 -ULTIMATE TOOLS 3YO PACE 1660M
Amore Vita NZ (Chris Alford) out of position at the start.
Chris Alford (Amore Vita NZ) was reprimanded under AHR rule 162 (1) (j) for failing to maintain position behind the mobile until reaching the starting point.
