Stewards approved the following late driver changes due to Danielle Veivers not driving for reasons acceptable to the Stewards:

Stewards noted the intended tactics from trainers with multiple runners in the one race

Race 1 - ULTIMATE TOOLS TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP  2647M

General: A false start was declared on the first occasion due to the 30 metre strand failing to release. The stand was handheld for the next start.

Zealous Spur NZ (Grant Dixon)– Fractious before the start delaying the start of the event.

Leesa Castleton NZ (Pete McMullen)– Broke gait near the 2400m.  Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

Kar Manor NZ (Riley Butt)– Broke after the start resulting in the gelding taking no competitive part in the race. Due to a false start having been declared on the first occasion no further action was taken against the gelding.

Aladdin Sane NZ (Mathew Neilson)– Broke after the start resulting in the gelding taking no competitive part in the race. Due to a false start having been declared on the first occasion no further action was taken against the gelding.

Race 2 – ATLAS COPCO TROTTERS RATING HANDICAP       2138M

Banff (Grant Dixon)– Galloped at the start. As previous warnings had been issued against the gelding Banff will be excluded from the draw in standing start events.

Hotel Kyvalley (Jordan Topping)– Broke gait shortly after the start. A warning was issued

Chocolatehandful (Trent Moffat)– Gave ground badly over the final 600 metre of the event to be beaten in excess of 110 metres. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory and declared the gelding ineligible until it trials satisfactorily.

Just Call Me Molly NZ (Mathew Neilson)– Galloped at the start. As previous warnings had been issued against the gelding Just Call Me Molly NZ will be excluded from the draw in standing start events.

Race 3 - BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE           1660M

Mynamesevan (Jordan Topping)– Hung in during the score up. After racing outside of the leader gave ground badly over the final 600 m. to be beaten 76.7 metres. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. The colt will be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

Hollador Daisy (Brendan Barnes)– Hung in and race roughly for a short distance near the 1400 m. dislodge its off-side knee bot during the event.

Potter (Adam Sanderson)– Became unbalanced and broke gait when under pressure near the finish. Given the horse's previous record in this regard the gelding will be placed on its last chance to race truly. The driver was of the view the gelding resented being hit with the whip.

Race 4 -RADIO TAB PACE      1660M

Looks Just Right (Taleah McMullen)– Hung in and contacted a marker post near the 200 m.

Beach On Fire (Pete McMullen) – Pete McMullen was fined $200 for using the whip in an unapproved manner by applying the whip continuously over the final 100 m of the event. (R.156(3)).

Braeview Fella (Narissa McMullen) – Was caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Rancho Man (Trent Dawson)- Raced wide from the 800 m. Hung in when under pressure and racing wide near the 300 m

Studleigh Will (Matt Elkins)– Tightened for room and locked wheels with Akermanis near the 300m when Rancho Man hung in

Akermanis (Bradley Forge)– Tightened for room and locked wheels with Studleigh Will near the 300m when Rancho Man hung in

Race 5 –AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS PACE       1660M

Our Aunty Ash (Shane Graham)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Artistic Saint (Jordon Topping)– Gave ground over the final 400 m after racing outside of the leader.

Peppa Bliss (Grant Dixon) - After satisfying QRIC requirements the horse will be placed back in the draw in mobile events.

Superbon (Brendan Barnes)– Inclined to hang in at stages during the event.

Gozo Sunshine (Paul Matis)– Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring Artistic Saint leaving the 300 m.

Race 6 -VALE FRED ANDREWS PACE           1660M

Pushinit Uphill (Shane Graham)– Inconvenienced in the front straight in the rum to the finish when Williewa Lightning shifted out.

Williewa Lightning (Joedy Whitaker)– Shifted out under pressure in the run to the finish.

Stormtide (Taleah McMullen)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages. Shifted in and contacted a marker post near the 800 m.

Captain Braveheart (Narissa McMullen)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages. Inconvenienced and forced wide leaving the 800 m. After satisfying QRIC requirements the horse will be placed back in the draw in mobile events.

Only One Don (Bradley Forge) – Inconvenienced in the front straight in the rum to the finish when Williewa Lightning shifted out.

General: Stewards questioned Narissa McMullen (Captain Braveheart) and Shane Graham (Pushinit Uphill) regarding the reason for Captain Braveheart racing four wide to the inside of Pushinit Uphill on the turn into the back straight on the final occasion. After taking evidence from the drivers concerned and acting on their own observations Stewards were of the view the incident was cause by a combination of factors and noted the circumstances.

Race 7 – 1EQUINE HEALTHY HORSE PROBIOTIC UP TO NR70 PACE            2138M

Animado (Nathan Dawson)– Shifted in and contacted a marker post near the 700 m.

Stompem NZ (Adam Sanderson)– Held up for a clear run to the finish.

Surf Ace (Brendan Barnes)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Captain Nemo NZ (Luke Whittaker)– Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1400 m.

Race 8 - SELECTIVE MOTORS ALBION VETERANS PACE      2138M

Bumper (Graham Dwyer)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Its Mr Clooney NZ (Pete McMullen)– Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Mafuta Vautin (Adam Sanderson)– Held up for clear running in the early stages of the straight.

Jack William (Jordan Topping)– Gave ground badly over the final 600 me to be beaten 82.2 metres. An examination by the veterinarian subsequent to the race found no abnormalities at time of examination. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory and declared the gelding ineligible until it trials satisfactorily. The trainer advise he would be reviewing the geldings racing programme.

Jonah Jones NZ (Grant Dixon)– Inconvenienced when caught behind the tiring Maretti leaving the 300 m.

Race 9 - GARRRARD'S HORSE & HOUND PACE         2138M

Studleigh Sonny (Taleah McMullen)– Was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught wide in the early stages.

Calf Pen NZ (Riley Butt)– Held up for a clear run at a vital stage in the straight.

Mossdale Mac NZ (Shane Graham)– Raced wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

Altana Blue (Jordon Topping)– Was back from its allocated position at the start despite the efforts of the driver. A warning was issued.
