Race 1 - SOMERSET FARMS BAND 5 PACE  2138M

Gottashopearly (Pete McMullen) - Gate speed, repelled challenge for the lead until the 1600m, surrendered the lead near the 1200m. Under pressure from the 500m gave ground. Query

General - Driver Peter McMullen advised that he was of the opinion that the gelding races best when leading and elected to take advantage of the one barrier adding that when challenged by Little Bolt  for the lead he repelled the challenge as he felt that gelding was not a suitable horse to take a sit on further added that when the Raconteur NZ improved to the position outside only challenged for a short distance and as such maintain the lead adding that if that gelding had applied further pressure he would have taken a sit. Mr McMullen further advised when One Big Shew  challenge for the lead near the 1400m  he elected to take a sit as he  felt his gelding had already done sufficient work prior to that movement. Mr. McMullen stated he felt the horse had reasonably good form prior to the race and was a little disappointed with the overall performance of the gelding. Stewards noted his explanation and advised the trainer to inform stewards if anything untoward were to show post - race that may explain the performance of the gelding tonight.

Little Bolt (Andrew Millard) - Gate speed, unsuccessfully challenge for the lead,  restrained to a forward trailing position.

The Raconteur NZ (Ricky Thurlow) - Gate speed, unsuccessfully challenge for the position outside the leader ,retrained to a forward trailing position, then improve three wide shortly after to briefly challenged for the lead when unsuccessful restrained to lead the one wide line.

Gleneagle Warrior (Leonard Cain) - inconvenience in the back straight near the 500 m behind the tiring Gottashopearly. -

Roll One Over (Nathan Dawson) - Caught wide early, restrained to the rear.

Ohoka Jimmy NZ (Matt Elkins) - Inconvenience in the back straight near the 500 m behind the tiring Gottashopearly. -

One Big Shew (Rickie Alchin) - Raced three wide from the 1400 to race to the lead at the 1200m, hung in on the final turn contacting a marker pegs.

Perfect Cut NZ (Brendan Barnes) - Raced three wide from the 1100m to improve to the position outside the leader near the 800m

Race 2 - PELICAN WATERS RESORT M0 PACE  1660M

Paravani NZ (Matt Elkins) - Gate speed, led.

Betterthandiamonds (Pete McMullen) - Gate speed, led one wide line, over -raced , obtained a trial at the 900m.

Fond Memories (Trista Dixon) - Caught racing wide early before restraining to the rear the field.

First String (Ricky Thurlow) - Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.

Tiz A Sizzler NZ (Adam Sanderson) - Caught racing wide early and progressed four wide for a short distance before being position outside the leader leaving the 900m.

Race 3 - PRYDE'S EASIFEED DIVIDED CONDITIONS PACE  1660M

Mach Da Vinci NZ (Leonard Cain) - Gate speed, led.

My Ultimate Star (Trista Dixon) - Caught wide early, restrained to the rear.

Crunch Time (Nathan Dawson) - Raced wide early to the position outside the leader near the 1100m.

Misterfreeze (Chris Geary) – Failed to obtain clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

Colt Thirty One (Grant Dixon) - Raced wide early to the position leading the one wide line at the 1100 m.

Race 4 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY QUALIFYING PACE  1660M

Whata Roller (Taleah McMullen)-  Gate speed.

Teagan Banner NZ (Adam Sanderson) - Broke gait in the early stage of the score up however settled back into a pace and was in position by the starting point. A warning was issued. Gate speed, led.

Mistery Road (Nathan Dawson) - Caught racing wide early before restraining to the rear.

Glenledi Commander NZ (Jordan Topping) - Worked forward from the start to be position racing outside the leader.

Theresachance (Chloe Butler) - Accidentally contacted the off side sulky wheel of Nicks Pick when there was general movement forward from the Harvey Bay and Nicks Pick when improving to race  three wide near the 700m.

The Hervey Bay (Pete McMullen) – Led the three wide line from the 700m.

Nicks Pick (Angus Garrard) - Three wide late with cover. The off- side sulky tyre was struck and punctured near the 600m.

Race 5 - CHANGEOVER @ BURWOOD STUD MARES QUALIFYING PACE  1660M

Dance In The Sun NZ (Pete McMullen) – Gate speed, led.

Infinity Beach (Brendan Barnes) – Three wide early, led one wide line before receiving cover at the 1100m.

Ima Beach Babe (Nathan Dawson) - Delayed the start when the mare had broken its near side spreader and repairs were made.

Lady Avana NZ (Trista Dixon) - Caught racing three wide early before improving forward to the position outside the leader at the 1100m.

This Ones For You (Chris Geary) -  Raced three wide with cover from the 800m.

Winona Writer (Bernie Hewitt) – Led the three wide line from the 800m.

Race 6 - SUNSHINE STARS YEARLING SALE QUALIFYING PACE  1660M

Asterism (Justin Elkins) –Checked near the 400 and raced roughly losing momentum.

General Montana NZ (Adam Sanderson) – Gate speed, led.

Geldof (Dannielle Veivers) – Raced three wide early, worked forward to lead the one wide line before receiving cover at the 1100m.

Falcons (Ricky Thurlow) – Caught wide early, worked forward to a one wide trailing position near the 800m. Shifted ground near the 400m.

Franco Nandor (Brendan Barnes) – Hung in and contacted a marker peg near the 200m.

General- stewards intend to speak to drivers  Ricky Thurlow (Falcons) and Justin Elkins (Asterism) regarding an  incident near the 400m where Asterism paced roughly and lost  momentum when racing to the outside of Falcons.

Race 7 - CHANGEOVER @ BURWOOD STUD MARES BAND 5 PACE  1660M

No Racing incidents

Race 8 - CHANGEOVER @ BURWOOD STUD MARES QUALIFYING PACE  1660M

Pearl Harbour NZ (Grant Dixon) – Gate speed, led.

Shes Miss Devine (Pete McMullen) - Gate speed, unsuccessfully challenged for the lead then restrained to lead the one wide line shortly after.

Jenden Strike (Nathan Dawson) –. Raced three wide early, worked forward to be positioned leading the one wide line at the 1000m.

Platinum Revolution NZ (Trent Dawson) - Caught wide early, restrained to the rear.

Race 9 - AQWA CONSRUCTIONS VETERANS PACE  1660M

Our Bondi Beach (Nathan Dawson) – Gate speed, unable to hold the lead.

Notorious NZ (Dannielle Veivers) – Utilised sprint lane.

Admiral Bronski (Matt Elkins) – Gate speed, led.

Race 10 - PSP TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP  2647M

Justabitnoisy (Leonard Cain) – Utilised sprint lane.

King Of The North NZ (Pete McMullen) - Galloped out when the strands are released. As a result of the early false start no action was taken against the gelding.

Im The Commando NZ (Grant Dixon) - Stepped and led. Surrendered the lead near the 2000 m

Indefensible (Angus Garrard) -  led one wide line throughout.

Gee Up Neddy NZ (Hayden Barnes) - Worked forward to lead near the 2000 m

Wee Man Trouble NZ (Luke Whittaker)  - Broke free of free of interference approximately 60m from the finish line and a warning was issued,.

General - A false start was declared on the first dispatch when the 10m and the 40m tape failed to release, the strands were handheld for the next start.
