RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1770 metres

 

SONIC EXPRESS– Pre-race swab sampled. Hung-in and contacted a marker peg near the 1600 metres. Driver C Maggs was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that near the 400 metres he shifted the geldingout when not sufficiently clear of SHOOIN which was inconvenienced.

SHOOIN – Inconvenienced near the 400 metres when SONIC EXPRESS shifted out.

FOREVER BETTOR NZ– Driver J McPherson was fined $400 under Rule 159A(8) for being in possession of a modified body protector.

SHES MY LITTLE GEM– Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the lead from SONIC EXPRESS leaving the 1400 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

LA MINACCIA – Hung-in and contacted a marker peg near the 1600 metres.

SHADY JESS– Driver M Buckingham was fined $400 under Rule 159A(8) for being in possession of a modified body protector.

OKTOLOVE – Hung-in, contacted marker pegs and broke gait leaving the 1600 metres, for which a warning was issued.

MAJOR MONTY NZ – Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when OKTOLOVE broke gait. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Had a tendency to race roughly rounding the home turn.

FAMILY TREE – Inconvenienced leaving the 1600 metres when OKTOLOVE broke gait.

 

RACE 2 – EAST ALBURY IGA PACE – 1770 metres

 

POCKET LINE– Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

REDBANK HARRY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

WEMAN MACHA– Hung-in and broke gait for a short distance during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

JIMMYLESURF – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

BACCARAT – Driver C Bell was fined $250 under Rule 159A(8) for being in possession of a body protector which has not been approved by Harness Racing Australia. The gelding was examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

 

RACE 3 – NSWSOA LADYSHIP PACE – 1770 metres

 

SAFE JEWELS– Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it had raced the day prior at Kilmore, and was cleared to start. Pre-race swab sampled.

HIGHLY RESPECTED– Post-race swab sampled.

HOI AN– Tired over the concluding stages and beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised the mare would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

ROLL ALONG JANE– Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – DLG ALUMINIUM AND GLAZING PACE – 2170 metres

 

LOCO SHEFFIELD – Galloped out at the start, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that he would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.

YELLA– Tired over the concluding stages and beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

CHILL AND BURN– Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced in the early stages of the event. Driver J Prior was questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the gelding in particular her holding the lead when challenged for it for some distance in the early stages of the race by CARIBBEAN PRIDE given the recent form of the two runners. J Prior stated that after leading when CARIBBEAN PRIDE improved to her outside near the 1800 metres she was happy to surrender to that runner, however her runner got fired-up and she was unable to restrain it enough to allow CARIBBEAN PRIDE to obtain the lead. She added that she was able to obtain cover when DIGYOURHEELSIN came around as her runner had settled somewhat after the early work at that stage. Driver J Prior momentarily dropped her foot from the sulky footrest when releasing the geldings deafeners leaving the 600 metres. Tired over the concluding stages and was beaten by a considerable margin, connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

LIFE GETS BETTER– Severely checked after the start when LOCO SHEFFIELD broke gait.

CARIBBEAN PRIDE– Driver B Harpley was fined the sum of $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight.

DIGYOURHEELSIN– Made a three wide mid race move to take over the lead from CHILL AND BURN near the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 5 – MARTINS TRAVEL GROUP ALBURY PACE – 1770 metres

 

THE BLACK ASSASSIN – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

IM OK– Worked forward to take over the lead from LUVTOO near the 1400 metres.

OUR STAR AND BACK – Out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued. Tired over the concluding stages and beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised the mare would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

RED FOURTEEN– Pre-race swab sampled. Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sampled.

SPOONTHEMOON– Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 6 – BEAUREPAIRES LAVINGTON PACE – 1770 metres

 

WONGALEA MEG– Post-race swab sampled.

SPRINKLE OF LOVE – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

TARA LEEANN – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

MACH CHARM– Pre-race swab sampled. Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it had raced the day prior at Kilmore, and was cleared to start. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

 

RACE 7 – ASGARDIAN PROTECTION PACE – 1770 metres

 

BIDGEE BABE – Checked approaching the 1400 metres when THE DUX broke gait. Hung-out leaving the 1000 metres. Hung-in approaching the 600 metres. Inconvenienced approaching the 200 metres when RESOLUTE BAY broke gait. Shied at the finish line light.

RESOLUTE BAY – Hung-in after the start. Broke gait free of interference rounding the home turn, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials.

THE DUX– Pre-race swab sampled. Hung-out and broke gait rounding the first turn, for which a warning was issued.

GOT THE GOODS– Post-race swab sampled.
