Race 1:
OVERVIEW: AUCKLAND RED (9) had a change of stables last start when leading throughout to win. Should prove hard to hold out again despite the second row draw. ALPHA CRUCIS (1) good effort to win last start and from the ideal pole position draw will receive every chance. BLAZIN HEAVEN (6) can race handy and battled on strongly last start and strips fitter for this. One of the main chances. IAMWINGATE (10) experienced pacer that is never too far away and expect him to be running on late. TEX GOES BANG (5) has been racing well and does have a favourable draw to be well poised and can fight out the finish. FRANCESCO (11) should be getting near peak fitness and despite the poor draw can show improvement. Local runner GROOM (7) was a winner three starts ago and is always a place and first four hope along with LOTAKEVI (3) DEFT TOUCH (4) and OCEANIQUE (2).

OVERVIEW: BLANCO CANYON (10) has been racing with great zest for local trainer Allan Lousada and expect a strong showing despite the second row draw. RIGHT OF REPY (3) looks well placed here and has been working up to a win and from the favourable draw can figure in the finish. Stable mates TINEY (8) and BROOKIES BABE (1) have suitable draws to be placed on the pegs and should be well poised throughout and are definite chances. KYVALLEY PAINT (7) has been amongst them in recent times and though facing a wide draw must be respected. WHATS THE TEA (4) continues to race well and is never far away and is amongst the chances. LUNA (2) DOUBLE DOT (5) MAUDARCHY (6) have ability and can’t be dismissed whilst DA PREZ (9) is a first four hope.

OVERVIEW: BART BENTLEY (4) has been racing very well without winning and will find this a suitable race and expect a strong showing. UBETTA KNOT (1) ideally drawn from the pole position having competed against stronger company. A definite chance. Stabel mates HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (8) and MACHANE SAID (2) are well drawn and are very capable of fighting out the finish. ROYLANCE (5) can race in a forward position and is suited by the sprint trip along with KHANS CREED (7) both are place chances. THE JET PLAYER (3) and OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT (6) are first four hopes.

Race 4:
OVERVIEW: The Luke Tabone trained runners BUSLOAD OF FAITH (7) is a Kiwi import and the stable have enjoyed good success with them in the past and expect a strong showing. MY WAY (6) has been racing well and can race handy and must be respected. LUNA DEAM (8) was a last start winner and should trail through nicely to be amongst them at the finish. GIVE DAVE A WAVE (3) fitter after three runs back from a break and should be primed for this. Definite hope. OH NO NEVER AGAIN (2) hasn’t been far away and can settle in striking range and must be respected. Both SAVERIO (1) and BURNING TICKETS (4) are place and first four hopes.

Race 5:
OVERVIEW: PROHIBITED BID (5) has been finding trouble since arriving from New Zealand and is yet to salute but shows ability. Can make amends here. CLAUDYS SECRET (2) eye catching run last start when savaging the line from well back. Must be respected here. DOSSIER (4) has been racing well and looks suited and is amongst the chances. MAGIC LAW (1) has run some good races but has struggled to win. Drawn well and will get every chance. RYMES (7) frustrating trotter with ability but his manners have let him down. At his best he’s a definite chance. Take on trust. SPIRITED LASS (3) is a quirky trotter that has ability and can show improvement from the draw. AGAINST THE BRIDLE (6) hasn’t been far away and both wins to date have been at this track.

ALDEBARAN SUSANNE (7) improving type that shows ability and can keep progressing. One of the main chances along with KYVALLEY MARIACHI (4) that is trying to work into form and break her maiden status. HILLWINSOME (6) has the race experience and has claims along with stable runner BRIGITTE ROYALE (3) whilst MAJESTIC PARTY (2) and PETITE FOUR (1) are first four hopes.

CALYPSO MISTRESS (5) quirky pacer that has sparingly performed well in this class and is amongst the main chances but needs to be taken on trust. OUR ARABELLA (1) settled handy last start from a similar draw when placed and can do the same here. KITCH MACRAY (2) has notched up some placings in recent starts in similar races and is amongst the hopes. SILVER DOMINO (4) has been racing below his best but can show improvement here. JEDI MIND (6) improved run last start when just behind the placegetters and has claims here. CEE CEE NORMAN (3) is a first four hope.
